Two more characters who are selkie twins! I finally figured out names for them! Rae and Mae! Rae is the one on the left, his special power is seeing into the future. he is trans and identifies as male. He loves science and wants to become a surgeon one day to use his power to save lives. Mae is the opposite, her special power is seeing into the past. she loves Sci-fi, aliens, and conspiracy theories. She wants to be on the history channel one day and explore ancient ruins.

Folktales have always fascinated me, and Selkies in particular for their quintessential fairy allure and moral ambiguity…the sea calls us back with promises of creation, power, and destruction in equal measure.

Imagine a zukka selkie au where sokka is a selkie. he drops his coat/pelt and zuko, a complete stranger, picks it up and gave it to him, which in selkie language is the equivalent of marrying someone or something and he just stands there like “…what am i supposed to do? ask him out?”
