IMAGINATIVE
Telepresence art installation by H.O features two rooms, one with a display with eye-tracking interface to control a ceramic cup, the other a chromokey-suited robotic arm to carry out instructions from the former room:
What if our thoughts materialized as tangible actions in remote locations?
IMAGINATIVE is an installation work consisting of two rooms.
In the first, there is a monitor displaying a table with a cup in an empty room. Using a specialized (eye tracking / brain computer) interface, participants can telekinetically control the cup in the remote space. The shifting of the cup back and forth, poised in the air, expresses someone’s imagination in real-time.
In the second room, the audience will encounter an extraordinary spectacle. Sitting on the table is a green robot arm enabling the cup to move, while the floor surrounding the table is covered in broken cups.
Given that brain computer interfaces directly connect our “consciousness” with the external world, what does “imagination” mean? What is the “imagination” that we present to the world?

The London based creative laboratory Bare Conductive was invited to team up with Fabio Antinori and Alicja Pytlewska in order to develop a large-scale metaphor for the idea of breathing life into a textile skin. At the core of the interactive tapestries featured in their installation, Contours, are capacitive sensors applied to the objects’ substrates using conductive paint; these sensors react to the presence of a person in their immediate vicinity and can track their movement.
‘Telementoring’ System May Give Surgeons Remote Help
Researchers at Purdue University and the Indiana University School of Medicine are developing an “augmented reality telementoring” system to provide effective support to surgeons on the battlefield from specialists located thousands of miles away.
In telementoring, a surgeon performing an operation receives guidance remotely from an expert using telecommunications. However, current systems require the surgeon to shift focus to a nearby apparatus called a “telestrator,” diverting attention from the operating table, said Juan Wachs, an associate professor of industrial engineering at Purdue.

Little Things About ESTP’s
Life never has a dull moment around you. You are the type of person who wants to have fun, but you don’t want to hurt anyone. You don’t stop to smell the roses, you buy a bouquet and smell them as you run. The best word to describe you is freedom. You are a great ball of energy that never stops. You are nice, but you give people space. You want all the answers and once you get them you move on. You don’t pry, you understand. You can handle responsibility and power, but you seldom go looking for it. You are that friend we can call at midnight because you areprobably still awake! We love the way your eyes light up right before you do something that we would call stupid but you call fun. And amazingly you succeeded at doing a double back-flip off a brick wall, over concrete, in the middle of a crowd. (Wish I would have videoed that. But I’m not going to tell you, because you would probably try it again.)
