Since there were quite a lot of memes, fics, arts about Tokoyami dressing up Shouji into something, I thought to myself, “Mayyybe I can draw something where they both dress up as goths.” …Yeah, my head’s weird. ANYWay, to those who love ShouToko material, enjoy! ;D

If you think Dark Shadow looks dorky on panel 2c, that’s obviously because I got a bit too lazy with him there XDD
Not sure if Tokoyami’s a true goth, though people keep calling him that, but given his junibyo personality, I wouldn’t be surprised if he pretended to be one.

Sometimes, an emo bird needs a little help with admitting his feelings.
Dark Shadow is a part of Tokoyami’s body, so he’s always there. Plus, he has a mind of his own. So I always figured he was privy to things Tokoyami wouldn’t admit to.
Note: “Fumi” is just Fumikage (Tokoyami’s first name) shortened. I kinda HC it as Dark Shadow’s affectionate nickname for him.
I just wanted to draw Tokoyami & Shouji dressed up like edgelords.
I visioned to finish this back in mid-2020—at least, that’s how it seemed, given how I started the drawing then—but my ADHD, like the performance disorder it is, said, “LOL, nope!” and just like that, I wasn’t able to make progress that year TㅍT;;; Thankfully, however, though it’s been two years, I got back to completing this. And I’m glad enough with the results.

Think of how much happiness it would bring Shouji if people back in his hometown just accepted him of how he looks QㅅQ (heck, if everyone within hero society were to do so) Appearances cannot fathom the depth of one’s heart. And Shouji’s seem far deeper than what anyone can imagine of. If only people were mindful enough to see it…
