#summary of art

LIVE

Well, 2021 was something. I learned what actual self-love is and not the vacuous internet garbage version, got a better job, expanded my content maybe two-fold expanding not only into VN LP’s but also DOAWK content (including a whole ass story parody AYOOOO), and met and made new friends and people entirely. Sure, I learnt some awful truths and messed up a couple times but hey it definitely beats 2020.

Happy New Year, folks!

I always dreamed to have one of those fully completed, but well, life happens. I started this blog in the summer and it was the best idea ever. I dreamed to have an art blog for almost two years, but I was always too shy about it. BIG THANKSforeverybody who follows me and likes/reblogs my art (even if you do it only to see Bucky and Steve get it on).
Also I think I improved this year! A little when it comes to art, but A LOT when it comes to my approach to art.
✿ I started to get the whole ‘gotta test new brushes’ idea!
✿ I’m also quite pleased because I think I’m very very slowly starting to have my own style.
✿ I started treating drawing more seriously. Unfortunately I now realize that I probably won’t be able to be a full-time architect and just ‘doodle on the margins in my free time’ if I want to achieve something.
So, hello 2016!

Welp, I survived and officially declare that 2021 is the year of portraits for me.

But seriously speaking, I am incredibly happy with the progress that I saw at the end of the year. Despite many problems, productivity remained satisfactory, the characters decided on their fate, and I, in turn, found support and many people who liked my work. It’s you. And even though the exactingness of myself repeats to me that I could have achieved more, that this is not enough, I still sincerely want to say to each of you one thing: thank you.

And Merry Christmas everyone!

Man I didn’t draw that much this year… but my art style did change. So there’s that…

Hopefully next year would be a better year for me

2020′s been one hell of a year. I’m not quite as far ahead with my art skills as I wanted to be when I started this year, I didn’t focus on dynamic poses or backgrounds like I’d set out to do, but I focused on color theory and shape expressions and what I havemanaged to do through everything has all been more than satisfactory!

Hopefully next year I’ll be able to focus more on dynamic poses and line of action, and all of the perspective studies I started and never finished. All in all, I’m proud of what I managed to get done through all of the turmoil and uncertainty, and I’ve done more with my art than I thought I would this year!

Thank you 2020 for teaching me I had the resilience to persevere, now kindly go away and never come back!

2021 Summary of Art - evs-eme

2021 is over and these are the jobs that I published this year on my other accounts such as Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr that are also published on Deviantart, with the exception of the month of April that I could not publish anything, due to the quarantine and problem with my scanner.

Here I only chose some works that I did, others unfortunately were left out this time.

I didn’t post this at the end of last year as I’ve been through a lot of work.

Greetings and everyone have a great start to the year.

Summary of art: 2020

It’s literally the 2nd summary where I was able to put something for every month and I’m super happy because of that. I hope 2021 will be way better, though.

2021′s summary of art, featuring Watcher, because he’s 99% of what I draw… Also featuring a few pieces I have yet to post here because apparently I sit on some pieces for a loooot longer than I think I do (see August’s, which was posted at the end of November). I think I actually have one from April I’ve yet to post, but I’ll get around to it ;D

It also highlights that I have a type of art, and it’s sunset/rise colours, gold and glowing eyes.

The last part of this year’s been a little lacking in art, partially from lack of inspiration, partly because I’d been focusing on writing. September’s one was the only piece I drew that month, and likewise December’s, though I’ve at least got a day or two left to do something more if need be! Hopefully next year I’ll get some of my mojo back and find inspiration to do a little more art again!

As per tradition, 2021 Summary of Art!

Stuff & Things means I had a slight burnout and couldn’t drawn anything except for work (and even that was like pulling teeth), so don’t be me kids, take your weekends and days off seriously and REST. I learned my lesson and thankfully I’m feeling much better these days!

Didn’t have as much time for personal work this year because I was so busy, but I’m very proud of my Penumbra series (more coming soon!) and I started painting with gouache for fun, which has been weirdly therapeutic.

To better art and more rest in 2022! ✨

Art Summary 2021

Had to dig a bit for these ones, from doodles, zines and merch making, but I managed it! Not my most productive year by any means, but I had a real nice time playing around with colour and mediums, and hope to continue to in 2022!
