Unbelievable–they’re ammonites!

Hapalopus sp. Colombia Large spiderling, molted again and eating well! I love this species. I got it as a freebie and I have really loved watching it grow. It’s colorful even as a tiny spiderling, never turns down a meal, and molts quickly. Hope it’s a female, but if not I know I’ll be happy to buy four more and raise them.

Also, I’d like to add that I handled tarantulas once upon a time, there are still pictures of it way back on this blog. But that was within my first year. Since then I will only hold a tarantula if they’re going out of the enclosure on their own accord, and if they’re one of the more mild-mannered ones. For example, I’d let my G. pulchra climb on me whenever, but I won’t let my A. geniculata climb on me. She’s a BEAST. And never, ever, ever hold old worlds. It’s just reckless and endangers this incredible hobby.
