I just figured it’s been long enough to let y’all see the whole thing. I’m not giving up on finishing it, but I am proud of the composition!
Here’s the reasons I have for each Pokémon:
Luxray: I figured Shinx might’ve been his first partner. Maybe his parents had Electric and Steel types to help with inventing things, so Shinx was already available? Idk.
Golurk: It’s a protector ghost, so it fits pretty well with Danny’s fanon concept of having a protective Obsession.
Mimikyu: This one I just liked, but also the aspect of disguise fits pretty neatly.
Chimecho: Ghostly Wail, Chimecho’s Pokédex says it can get really loud.
Minior: Space!
Alolan Vulpix: Ice Core, but I didn’t want Froslass because I think his parents wouldn’t want Ice types like Snorunt around. He got this lil gal while on a trip to Alola! Maybe his parents were brought on to help with the UB situation?

Pattern:
Round 1: Magic Circle with a base of 6 stitches Round 2: inc x6= 12 sts Round 3: (1 inc, sc in next st) x6 = 18 sts Round 4: (1 inc, sc in next 2 sts) x6 = 24 sts Round 5: (1 inc, sc in next 3 sts) x6 = 30 sts Round 6-9: sc in the next 30 sts = 30 sts Round 10: (1 dec, sc in next 3 sts) x6 = 24 sts Round 11: sc in the next 24 sts = 24 sts Round 12: dec x3, sc in next 12 sts, dec x3 = 18 sts Round 13: sc in next 18 sts = 18 sts Round 14: dec x3, sc in next 6 sts, dec x3 = 12 sts Begin stuffing - Enough to make it firm but not stretch the yarn and have stuffing show through. And yes, tracing was utilized for Vulpix and Luxray, though I edited the arts they were originally from so their heads were facing the way I wanted.

I was looking at videos by MALINDA, aka Translator Fails, and there’s one vlog from a few years ago that sort of resonated with me.
I don’t want to be extraordinary.
I don’t find myself wanting to be that as much as just being remembered. If I get to help people the way I want to, I hope I can make enough of an impact that they remember me years later. I want to be seen, not by the world, but by the people who need it.
And I just hope I can be a light in some people’s lives, the way I wish somebody had been mine.

Harry Potter was abused all his life, and he went into the magical world thinking he could maybe get away from that. Then, it turns out everyone knows him for something he can’t even remember. Later, as he’s having these “grand adventures”, he’s going through things no child should have to go through. He realizes this in his second year. He’s fucking 12. I vaguely remember being in 6th grade and allIhad to worry about was grades and making friends. He had to worry about people blaming him for several students getting frozen because he talked to a snake, and then had to fight a fucking basilisk to both stop it and free Ginny from the possession of the diary.
He wasn’t responsible for a lot of things, but he took responsibility because no one else would.

… I read one (1) fanfiction where Harry stopped letting people control him and it was glorious. It’s a HP/Avengers crossover fic on AO3, “On Punching Gods and Absentee Dads” by Enigmaris. They also wrote “The Ghost of Heroes”, another crossover but Danny Phantom and Avengers.
I didn’t remember if I’d ever posted this little PJO haiku, so here it is. Thought of it while still in school, the fact that I remember it after two years is impressive for me.
I really feel like dragons in media should be something that always evoke a great sense of wonder yknow. like even in comparison to the rest of the amazing world they’re in. the word “epic” has sort of been watered down today but that’s what dragons are supposed to be! epic! in every way they can possibly be!
in How to Train Your Dragon, we’re introduced to each type of dragon one by one and see what individual terrifying attacks they have to destroy a viking village. Toothless himself is even more mesmerizing because of how realistic & catlike he is, and how we’re shown the whole process of him and Hiccup learning to trust each other. dragons in this movie are like regular animals, they don’t speak english, they grow to be treated as giant pets like horses are, and they’re still awe-inspiring and wonderful in their seemingly endless colourful subspecies and mannerisms. seeing new and different dragons in the wild is still an amazing sight.
Smaug actually frightened me when he showed up in the second Hobbit movie. I was watching it on my laptop, on a small screen, and in that moment as he rose out of the gold, I was Bilbo Baggins, a tiny, tiny creature in the presence of a giant, intelligent creature, who fully intended on killing me like it was nothing, and I was deeply unsettled. dragons in this world are classically evil, greedy, highly intelligent, and can speak the language of other intelligent beings with ease. they’re hard to kill and can wreak unthinkable havoc on the world just for fun. in my opinion at least, they’re one of the most terrifying things in Middle Earth.
when I first played Breath of the Wild I didn’t know the dragons even existed and I stumbled upon Farosh by complete accident, and I just stood there in complete wonder watching this beautiful being moving languidly through the air, utterly undisturbed by anything around it, and disturbing nothing in return. it had no wings and yet it flew so fluidly, with a type of secret magic I had no understanding of. it was so big it created winds that could boost me into the air to float around it, without it even noticing me. its scales were magical, and could help enhance armour and food. dragons in this world are peaceful and magical, just existing the same way everything else does, and lending parts of itself for us to use in our own crafts.
every way a dragon can be, they’re always so beautiful and scary and wonderful, and they always evoke awe and wonder, no matter if it’s in fear, or reverence, or just plain curiosity. I think this is what makes the perfect dragon.

At first I was really anxious about driving but I’ve gotten better! With the driving and the anxiety! I’m really proud of myself for taking a step out of my comfort zone!
My dad also recommended me for a pharmacy technician job, and I put in another application. I’m still not keen on responsibility, but I need to get over my Gifted Kid Syndrome bullshit to realize something:

I think most of my job anxiety is from my fear of failure, and caring so much about what people think of me…
So I need to kick that in the balls and move forward.
for the record, ‘not feeling anything’ is a valid and not unusual response to trauma or grief
so if you feel empty and devoid of feeling, it’s not because you’re a cold and uncaring person.
Sometimes, not feeling anything is the only way you can cope.
Be prepared for a delayed reaction, too. It’s very common to be totally calm during a crisis, and then days or weeks (or years) later suddenly get hit with a tidal wave of “HOLY SHIT THAT HAPPENED.”
Sometimes your mind waits until it feels safe to start processing things emotionally. It’s a powerful survival strategy, but it can really blindside you, because just as you start to feel like things are okay, you’re overwhelmed by the realization of how not-okay things were before.
This may not happen, and that’s okay too. But it’s something to watch out for when your initial reaction is numbness.
