Day 12 - Favourite Protaganist + Day 13 - Favourite Antagonist
Was unable to do yesterday’s one and the timing made it perfect to combine them. They might be the very basic first protaganist and antagonist but they did their jobs well. I feel like they each subverted some of the classic hero+villain tropes in a subtle way. Drink is a sake bomb.

He’s a gigantic brown tabby with striking face markings and multiple scars. His eyes are amber and his leader mark is sharp on his forehead.
Once dead his pelt becomes weighed down by blood and a long canyon goes from his chest to his hind legs.

Things From TMNT 2012 That NO ONE Talks About and SHOULD Talk About
- Casey HATES dubbed anime. He’s also played by Josh Peck from Drake and Josh.
- April was failing trigonometry at one point, but at the time she was still tutoring Casey.
- April has an aunt that we’ve never met. Casey has a dad and a sister. Karai and Shinigami had been friends since childhood and Karai never mentioned her.
- Alopex and Tigerclaw probably killed their parents and joined the circus.
- Raph has a drum set in his room. He also sleeps with a teddy bear.
- Karai’s makeup has never smuged and it took us 5 seasons to see April with her hair down.
- Raph grew a beard, so the turtles can grow hair?? Maybe idk??
- The guy who played Donnie played Raph in the 1987 series. Mikey’s VA plays a character in ROTTMNT. Leo has had 3 voice actors.
- Mikey wears a pair of underwear because he can.
- Irma was LITERALLY A ROBOT and they kinda just forgot she existed.
- What happened to Timothy?? Like is he still in Donnie’s lab??
- Master Splinter has cheese popsicles in the freezer the entire time.

- I have a headcannon that the Little Girl Leo has tea with is actually Casey’s little sister.

- Renet didn’t tell the boys about the apocalypse.
- Donnie and Casey still have unexplained gaps in their teeth.

- Raph stayed up for nights on end to watch over Leo when he was in a coma.
- Casey had a toxic friend named Tony.
- April helped volunteer at a soup kitchen.
- Casey has a diary.
- Raph still plays with action figures.
- Mikey used Leo’s comics as toilet paper.
- April was almost black and Raph almost had feelings for her.
- The boys were born in 1999.
- The 2012 series ended 2 years ago.
Firestar - The OG boy! The one that started everything so many years ago! I have always had such a soft spot in my heart for Firestar, being able to watch his adventure unfold from an outcast to one of the most respected cats in all of the clans, as a little girl. I’ve always loved Firestar- I think one of my favorite scenes is when he sits with Yellowfang when she’s dying and tells her about every good memory they have together. I love the idea of him going from this little tiny kit to this just massive, stronk cat. I could never imagine him as a tabby, so I love his Abyssian designs!! I bet when he purrs it’s REALLY OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD
Graystripe- It has been so long since I have read a Warriors book that I haven’t been able to keep up on Graystripe, other than he had his own book and it was really good ;; I always loved how loyal of a friend he was towards Firestar, but I distinctly remember being incredibly frustrated with him when I was first reading through the series and his romance with Silverstream, followed by his subsequent bouncing between clans. Now I don’t mind it, but when I was little, I was MAD. I also like that he was able to settle back down as he got older with Millie- I really like that it showed he could love again and was able to move on while still honoring Silverstream.
Ravenpaw- I haven’t read Ravenpaw’s story yet, either- but I love this boy! Big ears are a must. Very nervous boy! One of my top 10 favorite characters- I love how even though he was afraid, he came back to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Firestar against BloodClan. I don’t really have too much to say about him- dark kitty, white patch on chest! Loved his brother Dustpelt so much but never felt as good as him.
Tigerstar- A horrible man- disgusting! But his character was already really interesting to me, and the characterization that Cushfuddled made with him was spot on- I love!! I love the concept that he legitimately thought that taking over ThunderClan was in their best interest and he was honestly convinced that he was doing the right thing. Big cat, maybe Maine Coon or Norweigan Forest cat? Just BIG AND LARGE. His design pulls a lot of inspiration for Nifty-senpai’s design for Tigerstar!
Spottedleaf- Man, I was never really a fan of Spottedleaf and I absolutely HATE FirexSpotted. I feel like it was more of a tiny crush on Firepaw’s end like “ooh she’s pretty! uwu” but nothing more than that. I really hate the writing on how that was dragged out into him loving her forever. I mean, when he joined the clan, she was literally old enough to be his mother? I just… don’t like it. Design wise- she is small and has round-shapes Her ears are small and round, compared to Redtail’s, that are large and have tufts. While Redtail’s design is much more simple, Spottedleaf’s is much busier (based on my favorite design for her by cityswarriorkitties on Tumblr). I honestly love in Twin Shadows (by Cushfuddled) SandxSpotted ;; I love it so, so much
Bluestar- Bluestar is the worst. 10/10, dislike. I love my design for her, but just in general dislike her character a ton. I could do a complete character analysis for her as to why I dislike her, but I think my main reason is by naming Brightpaw ‘Lostface’. Even if she was mentally struggling at the time (which I think we have all been there!), she, someone who holds the HIGHEST power and respect in the clan, took our her anger on a CHILD (a literal CHILD) by naming her 'Lostface’. You cannot take our your anger on a literal child. Imagine if a teacher- no, the principal- went to school and was having a really hard time with everything in life, and took a child who was just HORRIBLY misfigured and would be for the rest of her life- and named her LOSTFACE. Not even that, a Warrior name is almost sacred to Warrior cats- it is their entire identity. It’s just cruel, disgusting, and I could never forgive her after that fact.

FUCKIN.@goobiestar HAS ME ON SOME SHIT, OKAY-
I’m calling this the Tigerfeather au. Read more and you’ll soon find out why
Tigerpaw is distraught when his father abandons ThunderClan. He was barley old enough to open his eyes when it happened, but the weight of the event pressed upon his shoulders shadows him well into his apprenticeship. He feels angry and bitter and betrayed by a tom he never knew, but desperately (traitorously, he thinks) wishes he did.
Thistleclaw encourages his negativity, encourages all his violent outbursts and only allows him that one way to vent his frustrations. But then he hurts Whitepaw in a training session, and Sunstar issues him a punishment, despite Whitepaw’s protests:
Tigerpaw will care for Goosefeather until Sunstar sees fit.
Tigerpaw hates this because a) Ever since he was born, Goosefeather had cried that Tigerpaw would lead ThunderClan into a future soaked with blood, and that Goosefeather himself would fall at his paws, and b) Goosefeather was just. Weird. He’s a weird old man, and Tigerpaw is essentially a preteen, but he begrudgingly accepts.
The first half-moon is rough. The two don’t get along. Goosefeather sometimes acts as though Tigerpaw is no more bothersome than a flea he picked off his pelt, and other times he’s absolutely terrified of the young tom. But regardless of how he views Tiger, one thing always stays the same: he insists on sharing stories of Pinestar with him.
(Note: Goose does legitimately have a vision that claims Tiger will kill him)
At first, Tigerpaw absolutely hates that Goosefeather tells him stories of his traitor father. But then,, he starts to really listen. Because that cat was part of him, even if Tiger hated him for it, and Goose knew him better than anyone. So he listens, and after a while, tentatively starts asking questions
“What was he really like?” “Was he really like all the stories I’ve heard from my mother?” “How was he as a warrior?” “Was he strong?” “Was he brave?” “… Do I look like him?”
Even after Tigerpaw’s punishment is lifted, he still does his best to visit and care for Goosefeather every day. The two grow close. Goosefeather is there for his mother’s funeral, for the day it’s revealed that he cannot sheath his claws, and he is there when Tigerpaw becomes Tigerclaw, and watches him glow with pride.
One day, Goosefeather convinces Tigerclaw to go out for a walk. “My old bones can’t stand being cooped up in camp all the time,” he complains, loudly. Tigerclaw takes him out on a walk, as they’ve done countless times before: Tigerclaw will regale him with tales of a warrior’s life, of all the patrols he’s attended and battles he’s won for his Clan, and Goosefeather will tell him gentle stories of his father, stories of which he seems to never run out.
They near Snakerocks. It’s new leaf. A snake, gray-scaled and blending into the flat stones, is sunning. Tigerclaw runs up the rocks, the young, unobservant warrior that he is, to demonstrate a battle move. Goosefeather sees the disturbed creature rear up to strike, and he moves faster than he has in moons to barrel Tigerclaw out of the way
The snake’s fangs sink into Goosefeather’s hind leg.
Tigerclaw sobs over his shaking body as the poison courses through, full of grief and regret and sorrow and guilt. He apologies over and over before Goosefeather shakily reaches up and asks him oh so gently, in the same tone he would tell the young Tigerpaw stories of his father, to put him out of his misery; the poison was traveling too fast, and Goosefeather had suffered enough in his life.
Still sobbing, still apologizing, Tigerclaw does as he asks.
Upon dragging him back to camp, Tigerclaw tells his Clanmates of what had happened, his eyes still wet with hot, grieving tears. The second thing he does is demand his name be changed: he is now Tigerfeather, after the only cat who truly cared for him.
On the path to StarClan, Goosefeather’s spirit cries quietly.
A short time later, Brindleface and Tigerfeather press close together in complete, heavy silence as they stand vigil over Goosefeather’s grave. Together. They’ve never spoken much before now, and their relationships with Goose were,, strained at best. But in this moment? They both know how the other feels:
They’ve lost a father figure that night. And it hurts more than any flesh wound ever will.
That’s where Goobie and I pretty much left off, but we did dabble a little in other ideas :0
Namely:
- Bluestar seeing Tigerfeather essentially as a cousin, and his betrayal hitting that much harder for her
- Brindleface still falling to Tigerfeather’s claws (hell, I’m even entertaining the idea of the two of them becoming closer after Goosefeather’s death, and BRINDLE being the mom of Bramble and Tawny)
- Goosefeather steps forwards when Tigerfeather rises as leader of ShadowClan, giving him a life for forgiveness.
- But when Firestar and Tigerstar face off, Tigerstar pleads for forgiveness from the blazing ginger tom who was haunted by Goosefeather’s ghost, but Tigerstar had already lost that life. And both Goosefeather and Firestar turn away as Tigerstar’s remaining lives are stripped from him
