So are we gonna talk about the fact that Nico just… turned a homicidal cow into a skeleton for him to ride and just controlled it? Like excuse me sir you are too powerful.

So I’m done Tower of Nero. I may have cried. Spoilers ahead!

- there are a lot of Nico things I have to post about and rest assured I will.

- I cannot believe Rick took the “Will lights up like a glowsitck” head canon and ran with it

- Rick really said Apollo created the honey he gay meme. Iconic? Iconic.

- but on that note I’m seriously so happy Rick gave her a girlfriend. I’ve never seen so many queer characters in a children’s book, and it’s amazing that he’s doing this for people.

- RACHEL IS AN ABSOLUTE QUEEN

- everyone who hated her for no reason had better be eating their words, she’s awesome.

- the character development in this series is impeccable

- Meg is also a queen and I love her

- I actually really liked the book and the series, and I know a lot of people didn’t and that’s fine, but yeah.

- if you’re still reading this thank you for caring about my opinions, I hope they’re mildly entertaining for you.

- I’m really going to miss this series but we have a lot to look forward to and I can’t wait to see it

It’s time.

This is just an emotional post because I’m emotional and I wanted to write about it.

Tower of Nero comes out today. The 15 year long, 15 book, 3 arc saga ends TODAY. This journey that Rick was kind enough to take us on ends today.

This fandom does not end today. You can’t get rid of us. But it will evolve, it will change, and it will be different.

We have lots to look forward to. I’m excited to see what happens next, and I’m so so grateful.

These books saved my life. They changed it for the better. I made friends through them. I know most of you have similar stories, and what a testament that is to the power of this series.

Endings can be scary, but we got this.

We are the dam Percy Jackson fandom and I can’t wait to see what we do next.

So I’ve been re-reading all the books in preparation for Tower of Nero (two! Days!) and I’ve noticed something.

Calypso is described as having straight hair the same colour as Hazel’s, and dark almond eyes, which sounds East Asian to me?

So I tried to look it up but I cannot find any art of East Asian Calypso so I’d anyone wants to like,,, direct me to some of that I would appreciate it.

Cannot believe Rick really put Nico in a jar? for eight days?? without oxygen?!The absolute audacity.

I’m just thinking about Nico working with Dionysus to help him with his PTSD. I’m thinking about the fact that Nico di Angelo had to go up to the god of insanity and say “I need your help,” and Dionysus agreed.
