If I had a nickel for every time I was invested in a piece of media based on Egyptian mythology where a sort of love triangle was solved by two parts of the love triangle being two parts of the same person and them all being a polyamorous relationship together I’d have two nickels.

i love how there are so many different interpretations of things, like in tkc ammit the devourer is basically described as their pet bc the dad becomes osiris but in moon knight ammit is this all powerful goddess that has been punished and bound to a stone statue like thats so amazing
This fandom really sleeps on all the riordanverse books that aren’t the original three series. I think we need to pay more attention to the Kane Chronicles, MCGA, all the RRP series, and The Demigod Files.
After all, the Riordanverse is just that - a whole universe of books under Rick’s imprint. We have so much content that we hardly ever touch on. I would love to see more of these books show up in fan content in the future, and hopefully I’ll be able to bring more onto my account.

When I tell people my favorite book is Percy Jackson, they have no clue I’m actually referring to three 5 book series, 2 trilogies and multiple collections of short stories.
The Kane Chronicles are being adapted by Netflix, so a little reminder that although Sadie is described as a blonde girl in the books, there’s a great possibility that a mixed race actress will play her in order to respect Sadie’s heritage. This could mean that we could possibly get a light skinned black actress as Sadie instead of blonde one, and that will be totally acceptable and accurate.
Just saying this, so when it happens people don’t start with the “but she isn’t accurate to the description in the books”.

Of course it is possible.
Some people had this view of Sadie being a white British girl, and you can see it a lot in fanarts, they forget about her dad’s side. I had seen some art of her drawed with a more dark skin color than caucasian, and there is always comments of people complaining.
It is completely possible to have a blonde light skinned black girl, but, there is also possible that they cast a black girl with dark hair and a skin color different to what they picture it. The point of the post was that reminder that the latter is completely possible and will still be accurate for Sadie, so these kind of people don’t start complaining about the actress and saying the “she doesn’t look like the one in the books” in a negative way. Like they had been doing with the recent casting announcements.
