Today: Russian editiotion of HP :)
Well, I do no think that there is still someone who does not know who Harry Potter is. I`ve been a big fan of his books and films as long as I can remember. This story made me who I am now because it made my childhood magic and wonderful. I`m not a child anymore but I still have this special feeling watching HP movies or rereading it.
I`m so glad that first russian covers math the original ones. I know how much editors love to change them but back in the days they made a right decision.
I remeber my feeling buying them as a child. I loved these covers so much. I was so obsessed with this series that whenever I watched a film I took the matching book with me.
I`m so grateful for J.K. Rowling because thanks to her and her books I started to love reading seriously. I found out that I adore fantasy books thanks to that amazing woman.
These are not just books, they are the world. Weren`t you wainting for you letter as a child? I was! Well, I was a bit dissapointed that I didn`t get it but I believed that I can help this world even as a muggle. Such a naive kid :D
Lately, we got a few more books translated. I`m talking about related books such as:
Fantastic beasts and where to find them
Quidditch through the ages
The tales of Beedle the Bard
I love these books too but I definitely have some complaints! How could they change the traditional translation???
Instead of Quidditch – Quiddish
Instead of Dumbledore and muggles we have wrong pronunciacion.
You can say that it does not matter but I will disagree. When your mothertongue is an original language of all these books, of course it does not matter to you, becayse translators can ruin nothing. But when you have to survive with translated versions believe me even the wrong letter makes you angry. When you know how it needs to be and you see it the wrong way, you get angry and upset. Especially, when you talk about something so importnant to you.
Also now we have the new covers that look amazing. If you have all of them than you can see the image of the Hogwarts when these books are standing on your shelf. It`s great, really, but I believe that these covers are more personal, they have so much more soul and feeling in them.
P.S. I hope that one day I will be able to have the English and the Spanish books< because there are so many beautiful covers and I`m definitely a bookoholic!

Lands’ End is still sadly classifying their science and space tees as “boys” and “girls,” BUT that doesn’t mean they have to be worn and enjoyed along gender lines! Now if they would only make these all in adult sizes so I could BUY THEM ALL PLEASE.

Started reading LONG LIVE THE TRIBE OF FATHERLESS GIRLS by @tkmadden yesterday and I can honestly say I wasn’t ready for this kind of searing honesty. You think you have read it all, and then this comes along. The themes are varied and the length and weight of this book is a comforting presence in my life at the moment.
