I need to find a summer job (I know I should already have one, procrastination’s a bitch) but mother’s day is coming up and I need to order my stepmom a gift. I found something I think she’d like but I’m not going to order it until I apply to some jobs. I have everything ready to go, I just have to confirm my order really but I’m going to get the most satisfying outcome out of finishing my tasks. Essentially, I’m giving something without a clear deadline (get a job) a deadline by proxy (can’t order time sensitive gift until I get a job). Kinda a dangerous game if you let things pile up but I think I’m onto something.

I wanted to develop a challenge that helps diviners develop core skills that sustain long term practice. Or in less clinical terms, there’s a ton of stuff for newbie card readers but you, my friend, are in this for the long haul. You’re gonna need a strong foundation for when you’re reading cards ten, twenty years from now. 

This month we focus on self awareness. 

I have trouble putting into words just how important this skill is. Knowing how your perception is colored and limited is key to giving good readings. A reader needs to have a sense of when their personal bias is creeping into a reading. Just went through a break up? You need to know when you’re projecting that unhappiness onto other readings. Just got a new job? You need to know when you’re feeling unreasonably optimistic given the cards in front of you. 

For this challenge, you’ll pull two cards. One you select and one you shuffle/draw at random. The goal is to see how closely your perspective of yourself aligns with your deck, to give your deck a chance to check you. Feel to start this challenge whenever you feel like it, well after May even. If you post this somewhere else, please credit me and link to my tumblr if you can. Q1. The venue this time will be Tokyo Dome! Any impressions or memories?
People play baseball here (laugh). Well, my first time visiting Tokyo Dome was for a concert when I was a kid. Even then, I remember being surprised, and then deeply moved at how big Tokyo Dome was. After that, it’s got to be the strong impression that the μ’s concert left on me. I still can’t forget it — these memories will last me a lifetime!!

Q2. Aqours’ hometown is Numazu ☆ Once again, what kind of place is it?
I think Numazu is, without a doubt, a place with warm and welcoming people. Everyone there has been so kind! Whenever I visit Numazu, everyone always greets me as if they’re telling me, “Welcome back”, which makes me really happy. There’s so many culinary masterpieces there too, making me wonder if their kindness is the secret ingredient to their food ♪

Q3. Tell us about a memory or story you have from Numazu!
I’ve done a lot of different events in Numazu, but if I had to pick one that left an especially strong impression, then it would be that one time I visited Numazu on my own time to celebrate You-chan’s birthday. It was my first time visiting the house that inspired You-chan’s house… Being there, in the house where You-chan lives… I was just so touched. Also, I remember that other places in town were celebrating You-chan’s birthday as well, and that made me super happy.

Q4. If you had to give You a surprise present, what would you do?
If I really wanted to surprise her, then a boat… Well, that’s what I want to say, but if I actually gave You-chan a boat, she’d probably be concerned (laugh). Instead, I’d give her my homemade hamburg steak and yakisoba! A surprise made with cooking skills that won’t lose to You-chan’s ☆ To add to that, since she likes uniforms, I’d give her a uniform with my own original design too! After that, I want to give her a genuine “thank you”!!

Shen Qingqiu became aware of the pain before he was even consciously aware that he was awake. For a second, he was irritated. It’d been so long since he woke up like this—covered in bruises and sporting a pounding headache—that his brain couldn’t help but focus on the pain instead of the more pressing problem, like where the fuck he currently was.

Well, he thought sardonically, he clearly needed more practice waking up injured.

With some effort, he forced his attention outwards. His hands were bound—chained, what the fuck—behind his back, and the ground was rough beneath his cheek. It was uncomfortable and everything smelled faintly of too-old straw.

The last thing he remembered was Liu Qingge confronting him in an alley. He’d been full of righteous fury, outraged that Shen Qingqiu would sully the reputation of Cang Qiong Mountain by visiting a brothel the evening before the Immortal Alliance Conference.

But Liu Qingge wouldn’t tie him up. It wouldn’t even occur to his stupid, honor-obsessed brain to do that.

Eyes still closed, he called upon his qi to expand his senses outwards, trying to see if there was anybody else nearby. He was brought up short when his qi didn’t respond. It wasn’t that it was gone; he could feel it circulating through his meridians, albeit slower and less smoothly than usual. But trying to reach for it was like trying to scoop water up in his fingers. He doubted he’d even be able to summon Xiu Ya with the amount he could gather before it slipped away.

His stomach sank. He knew—intimately—which poison could cause that. And there was only one place he’d ever found it before.

Sometimes it’s cold.

People (of any gender) like to layer shirts. Idk why shits ugly but go off ya’ll.

Men can 100% have titties implying otherwise is transphobic. Again, sometimes it’s just cold.

Clothes are fashion, everyone’s fashion sense is different and stupid  IDK why some people do ugly shit like wear white undershirts or why we judge fashion choice so hard. Most shit is just stupid and subjective. Recognizing that a gender-binary is toxic, however, isn’t stupid. 

Should I start posting on Twitter? Not to say I wouldn’t still be posting on here but seeing as Tumblr’s userbase continues to shrink I think it would be a good idea to post on another platform as well. It’s an idea.
