Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides) is such a gorgeous addition to any vertical space and the best thing is that you don’t need soil or a pot.
This is an epiphyte, which means they grow on tree trucks or any surface that provides nutrients from the moisture, water and or air or the surface itself (like the tree trunks).
I’ve propagated twice now and they are all growing. I keep them in our shower as they get filtered light and humidity from our hot showers.

This is how I shop for airplants!
Many times the flower attracts you and that’s fine. I know they are gorgeous and surreal. As long as you know that they are Monocarpic plants, and will slowly die after putting out their flower.
I prefer to look for babies! That means that after the babies grow enough, I’ll have more airplants. The mom will flower eventually, so I will still appreciate that too!

These new pots and vases just came came out of the kiln this week! I loooove them! Experimenting with a new speckled clay and the glazes react beautifully to the minerals in this clay to create such interesting textures. Also experimenting with layering glazes to create interesting interactions. Each of these were hand thrown on a wheel, then trimmed, bisque fired, glazed, then fired again. The whole process takes about 3 weeks!
