#all that jazz
Okay, ladies and gentlemen.
My finals are over, my inspiration is back up, and I thought I could fill this lonely Christmas with some NFA writing.
Except I opened the doc, realised I wrote something, but can’t remember what pairing I was going for.
Oh bliss
Therefore! I’m asking whoever’s online and interested in helping a poor writer choose one of the Love Square’s pairing for the new chapter!
Reblog, answer, or simply DM me aaaaaand I guess we can do something from there!
THANK YOU FOR THE HELP
Favorite Lyrics Chicago Edition
All That Jazz - No, I’m no one’s wife/ But oh, I love my life
Funny Honey - that scummy, crummy/ dummy husband of mine
Cell Block Tango - he ran into my knife/ he ran into my knife 10 times
When You’re Good To Mama - when you’re stroking Mama/ Mama’s stroking you
All I Care About - twisting the wrist/ that’s turning the screw
We Both Reached For The Gun - are you sorry/ are you kidding
Roxie - And that’s cause none of us got enough love in our childhoods
I Can’t Do It Alone - I know, you’re right, the first part’s shit. But the second part—the second part is really nifty!
Mister Cellophane - Unless, of course, that personage should be/ Invisible, inconsequential, me
Razzle Dazzle - Throw ‘em a fake and a finagle/ They’ll never know you’re just a bagel
Class - Now every son of a bitch is a snake in the grass
Nowadays - but nothing… stays
Nowadays/ Hot Honey Rag - Chicago’s own killers, drillers/ Those scintillating sinners
I Move On - I run so fast a shot gun blast/ Can hurt me not one bit
All That Jazz (1979). Director/choreographer Bob Fosse tells his own life story as he details the sordid career of Joe Gideon, a womanizing, drug-using dancer.
God, the 52nd Academy Awards had a stacked Best Picture category - Kramer vs Kramer, Apocalypse Now, Norma Rae, Breaking Away and this. All that Jazz ultimately lost out to Kramer v Kramer, which is probably understandable, but to me, this really deserved to take it home. It’s rare after all that a movie can feel both this spectacular and this intimate, this personal and yet this accessible.
It just works on every level and I really loved it a lot. 9/10.
IT’S SHOWTIME!
Or it will be December 24, 2019 when “John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch” premiers on Netflix. Now that we did a remake of the opening of “All That Jazz” I think I am officially out of wishes and also…out of ideas, baby!
Be well Tumblr. You deserve it.

hey! so for those of you who didn’t already know, i currently live in Japan, where same-sex marriage is not yet legal. tomorrow afternoon, the Japanese Diet is having a hearing concerning same-sex marriage, and they’re “gauging interest” based on the viewership of the livestream. basically, if people don’t watch, they’ll just write off the issue as niche and avoid it for as long as possible.
i’m posting about this here because, for ~some reason~, the hearing is to start at 1pm. on a regular thursday. when people are at work.
so, for those of you who will be awake at 1pm JST on thursday the 26th of november, i ask you to please contribute to the youtube live viewer count. i’ll put the link in a reblog.
thanks in advance!
