hey all!! i’m aware i’m very dead on tumblr, but i just don’t feel comfortable on the website anymore, even more having in mind my account is blocked and it loses not only visibility, but dms don’t get through to me!
i won’t delete this blog but i’m starting to move all my stuff to twitter and instagram, if you still would like to follow my work follow me on twitter (@emelonart) and instagram (@mayra.vives) !!

also make sure to follow my webcomic Coping Mechanism on tapas!

I adored Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. I read it in about 3 hours at my desk at work and cried. The ending was one of the BEST I’ve read in a while!

Walking at a brisk pace near the old supermarket, I again saw their tags and their distinctive style, it was memorable from the first time. The guys were working at night, apparently, very fast. Besides the usual graffiti on the walls, they were doing another fun thing; they were turning every object, a rock in the park, a barrier in the parking lot, a garbage can, a power pole, into a living object; it was eyes, noses, hairstyles, hands and feet. It brought a smile to face. But time was rushing me. With a brisk gait… the wall with its characteristic outlines was leaving my field of vision and moving away. I ran on my own doing jumping over puddles, leaving something new in my mind. It was early spring, the smell of rain again, the clouds thickening.

Last artwork from new NFT collection “Kon-Tiki”
And then we saw the new shore, stunned, tired from the long journey. A force beyond our control was pushing us toward it. We were strong, we had goals, for even those who were against it eventually realized something, too. The new land was not far away, not close. We created it with imagination, with hands, giving a piece of ourselves for the next story, a chapter, heart to heart.

We were haunted by a series of events during the journey. Like a whirlwind in a measured voyage on a raft, day and night, they excited us, not allowing us to calm down, not to sleep. We could not control them, we had only to accept them, had to adjust, change and constantly find the right path.

That unusual, mixed feeling when you realize that you have already passed the halfway point, on the one hand it is joy, but at the same time it is an understanding that there is still exactly the same distance to go. And the mood changes, as if the waves, soft and calm, helping to move forward, and restless, under the onslaught of the wind, they are obstacles in the way, capable of destroying the raft on which we are sailing.
