When the wolf at length had had his sleep out, he got on his legs, and as the stones in his stomach made him very thirsty, he wanted to go to a well to drink. But when he began to walk and to move about, the stones in his stomach knocked against each other and rattled. Then cried he,

“What rumbles and tumbles
Against my poor bones?
I thought ‘twas six kids
But it’s naught but big stones.”

And when he got to the well and stooped over the water and was just about to drink, the heavy stones made him fall in and there was no help, but he had to drown miserably.

Greed is a curse unto itself, and this spell turns that malice back onto a person whose greed is harming the people around them.

Make or acquire a cloth poppet. You’re going to be stuffing the poppet, so make sure it’s a decent size, with plenty of room in the stomach area.

It is not necessary to have any hair or nails from the target in order to make the spell work, but it can help. In the absence of such things, you can name the poppet thus:

“Poppet, I name you [NAME]. Your limbs are their limbs. Your flesh is their flesh. As you suffer, so shall they suffer.”

With scissors or a small sharp blade, open a slit in the belly of the poppet. If there is pre-existing filling, remove some of it. Into the cavity where the stomach might be, place a whole chili pepper (any kind will do), seven small pebbles, and seven tacks or thorns. Carefully stitch the poppet closed and whisper to it:

“Rumble and tumble,
A pepper and stones.
Swallow your greed,
And choke on the bones.”

Take the poppet to a deep body of water, such as a lake or pond, and drop it into the deepest part you can reach. If such a body of water is not available, you can “drown” the poppet in a bucket of water for three nights and then discard it with your garbage.

I’ve been writing a lot of incantations lately and this is my take on a return to sender spell with maybe some spice. Hey, they struck first. This is pretty straight forward and all you’ll need is:

  • an envelope
  • paper and pen/pencil
  • sea salt or beach sand
  • spider web or knotted string
  • bone dust or a small bone
  • a tear (optional)
  • poppy seed (optional)

note: If you feel uncomfortable with using spider web or bones, leave them out. You could also replace either item with something that looks like a bone— maybe sculpt something! Spider web represents something hard to get out of— tie and make a mess of some string instead. I made some choices such as dying my paper and envelope with coffee. Coffee is known to speed up a spell so this is simply to send this letter quickly. Poppy seed can be used to confuse or dominate people. I mix it with sea salt to represent something eating away at their protection and causing strife. You can see the contrast of black and white. I used a wax seal to close the letter and tied twine around the letter itself.

You’ll be making a petition paper of sorts! Write on your paper your target’s name and date of birth. Feel free to add a photo of them or whatever you do have. This person should be someone who genuinely caused you pain or tried to; you’re sending whatever negative energy back to them with tax.

The incantation is pretty literal so after you write your letter you’ll simply add it to your envelope and start reading the below lines. On the first stanza third line, “take no salt” add either your sea salt or beach sand. On stanza two when you say, “left a trail” this would be the time you sprinkle poppy seed.

On stanza three line one, you’d add your spider web or knotted string. When you say, “bone dry” you’ll add your bone dust. On the final line, if you can muster a tear, you’d tap the tear on the envelope’s seal and rub it in with your thumb. You want them under your thumb now. Seal the letter and you’re done.

When you think the lesson is learned, take the letter out of the envelope and either keep it or dispose of it. I suggest burning it.

”Out of balance and out of hand

Twisting daggers in my back

Seal the wound and take no salt

Let my blood have a cost

It left a trail so the path is paved

Let them wish for better days

I have that map so they’ll be lost

The tides have turned and they are caught

Resting in their own little web

Quickly made their own bed

Leave them high and bone dry

Feeling low with damp eyes”

Witch Grass For Banishing & Breakup Spells

Witch Grass (Couch grass) is a hardy plant that can be used for banishing, good luck, dominating a lover, causing separation and binding the actions of another. This is a very versatile plant that can be very helpful or harmful depending on your intention. If you wish to banish an evil spirit from a house burn some Witch Grass and carry the smoking plant material throughout the entire home. To attract or dominate a lover make a strong tea with Witch Grass and pour it all over your body after you take a shower. Don’t towel dry, allow yourself to air dry or use a blow dryer if you’re in a hurry. To help dispel sadness carry a small pouch of Witch Grass on your person and annoint it with Sweet Orange essential oil once a week.

If you wish for a couple to break up you will need some Witch Grass, some Catnip, 2 white candles and some vegetable oil. Carve the name of one of the people into one of the candles and the other name into the wax of the other candle. Anoint both candles with vegetable oil. Sprinkle Witch Grass on one of the candles and Catnip on the other candle. Place the candles about an inch apart and light them with a match, say the following prayer over the candles 7 times-

“Apart, Apart, You 2 Need to Be Apart, Time To Move On, Time To Go Oh, Apart, Apart, Apart!”

Let the candles burn for 1 hour and then snuff them out. Every night move the candles one inch further apart from each other and light them with a match and say the above prayer over them 7 times and snuff them out after an hour. When the candles have burned all the way down wrap the wax remains up with some cloth and bury them in the woods or the desert.

Witch Grass is native to North America. The plant grows best with full sunlight in sandy soil. Medicinally Witch Grass can be used as a diuretic. Witch Grass is associated with the astrological sign of Sagittarius, the element of earth and the planet Jupiter.- Zwahk Muchoney (Image from Unsplash.com)
