grimoirebabylon:

White, green, oolong, and black tea all come from the same plant (camellia sinensis) but are separated by how oxidized they are.

A lot of ‘tea correspondence’ lists make associations based on the *color* of the tea, rather than by the oxidation cycle. Correspondences are quite personal, of course, but as somewhat who quite likes tea I think there can be deeper meaning beyond the color.

I associate the four types of teas and other four step cycles: ages, time of day, elements, seasons. I’ve also included the health benefits of each type of tea.

Green Tea: Childhood • Morning • Earth • Spring.
All tea starts out green. Green tea is not oxidized.
Nature, health and growth.
Interferes with the growth of cancers; prevents clogging of the arteries, burn fat, counteracts oxidative stress on the brain, reduces risk of neurological disorders, reduces risk of stroke, and improves cholesterol levels.

White Tea: Youth • Afternoon • Air • Summer.
White tea is 1-10% oxidized.
Cleanliness, purity and simplicity.
The most potent anticancer properties compared to more processed teas. Good for skin.

Oolong Tea: Maturity • Evening • Water • Autumn.
Oolong tea is 10-85% oxidized.
Stability, balance, and variety.
Lowers cholesterol levels.

Black Tea: Old Age • Night • Fire • Winter.
Red tea (known as black tea in the west) is 100% oxidized.
Rationality, formality, and energy.
Protects lungs from damage caused by exposure to cigarette smoke, reduces the risk of stroke.

♡ That naked witch in the woods

If you fill up one book, where are you going to put the rest of your ever increasing amount of spells, rituals, information, and all that jazz? In your second book of shadows of course! Or third, or fourth…

No matter which book you’re on, never stop learning about the craft!

Things To Research As A Witch MASTERLIST

Always remember that each witch’s journey is a different one. You certainly do not have to research all of these in one go. Or all of it for that matter. Take your time and explore the possibilities of witchcraft, even if it’s one subject at a time. Witchcraft isnt strict on rules, find what suits you, there’s a place for everyone. And remember, always keep learning! :)

I tried to organize it somewhat (not really) Im going to start a series of master lists like this one for different types of witches too! So stick around for those but for now…

windvexer:

I’m in to bullet journaling. It is a very easy and convenient way of keeping track of daily events and tasks.

Do you know what else I figured out? It’s actually a very good way to keep a grimoire.

What I dislike about the aesthetic of grimoires is that I always feel there is a need to make it real fancy or look perfectly nice and have it totally organized, like it’s for a graduate level art class. I really admire those who do this, but I 100% know that is not for me. I want to be able to find information and record it in a few moments, while still being organized and neat enough that it doesn’t drive me bonkers.

Aspects of bullet grimoires:

  • Record information in a fast and practical way
  • The index keeps track of stuff without the need to reorganize
  • It’s smaller than a binder so you can take it anywhere with you
  • You can add to it during the day without the need for ritual or special tools
  • There is still room for as much personal journaling and art as you want
  • Organized and neat enough that it won’t drive you bonkers

First, make sure you check out this website if you are unfamiliar with bullet journaling.

Ideas for keeping a bullet grimoire:

► Don’t put the index on the first page. Reserve it for an introduction or dedication, like,

OH MY GOD this is a fantastic idea and I’m going to try this!! ❤️ I will probably use this for my correspondences, but I’ll use my full grimoire for my rituals and spell instructions. Maybe this will help some of my lovely followers, too~ Have fun, my witchy friends!

firewithinthewitch:

“My Best Self” Spell Jar

I made this spell jar to manifest happiness into my life, as well as bless my future with all the good things in life! (I know it’s a lot of ingredients but it just adds to the spice!)

Ingredients:

  • 7 drops Lavender oil- calming
  • 7 drops sandalwood- uplifting
  • 7 drops lemon- balance

The 7s are for the trinity 777, aka “the inner strength”.

  • 8 drops Peppermint oil- regulation
  • 8 drops eucalyptus oil- stimulation
  • 8 drops jasmine oil- euphoria

As you could probably tell, the 8s are for the trinity 888, aka “the balance”.

  • Black pepper- courage
  • Clove- healing and protection
  • Cinnamon- prosperity, passion, luck, and love
  • Coffee- intellect awakening
  • Dandelion- wishes
  • Daisy- hope and love
  • Ginger- sexuality, adventure, success, confidence
  • Raw lavender- love, longetivity, harmony, happiness, peace
  • Parsley- lust, power, strength, prosperity
  • Poppy (optional)- fertility
  • Rose- healing, luck, love
  • Rosemary- lust, love, memory, health, purification
  • Sage- protection
  • White candle
  • Red candle
  • Pink candle

If you don’t have some of the ingredients, just check the meanings and see if you can do without that specific herb or oil, or find one that could replace it!

Now, for the steps!

  1. Add the ingredients as you say their purpose out loud- this will make it feel more official, and it was also more fun for me!
  2. Think happy, promising thoughts as you envision the future. Think about what you want to do in life, your goals, and think about achieving them!
  3. Once finished, seal the jar with white, red, and pink wax while saying the incantation:

“Love and luck, luck and power.

Power and money,

prosperity and happiness.

Let nothing but joy come of my life,

all the little things,

All the happy things.

Bring me the comfort in the rain, the promise after pain.

All the good things in life, they come my way.”

White wax- purity

Red wax- strength

Pink wax- emotion

4. Finally, add the sigil. (I carved mine into the wax on top of my jar, you can choose to do it however you want!) I used the sigil that has the meaning:

“My life will be full of happiness, love, and success.”

And you’re done! Now go live your best life and be the best you that you can be! ✨

naomi121406-deactivated20210507:

To mend a heart spell

A simple ritual to heal a wounded heart, after a break up or after someone has hurt you, to get rid of negative, hurtful emotions and bring back love, forgiveness and joy to one’s life

You’ll need: black cord or string, a pair of scissors, a pink candle, a charm (necklace, ring, etc) you can carry around with you at all times.

Steps:

  • Open ritual space, if you have any patron deities, or if you wish to invoke the universe or any superior beings, this is when you’d call on them for their aid.
  • Light up the pink candle, and recite the following incantation:

“I wish to break the habit, cut the cord,

I no longer need the old.

Take my heart, make it whole,

heal all the wounds of my soul.

Now whole again, straight and true,

All that’s good in my heart can bloom.”

  • Now take the black cord or string. Start making knots, as you do so think of what has hurt you, think of that pain, and concentrate it on the knots on the cord. Let your emotions flow.
  • When you’re done, take your scissors. Now it’s time to get rid of that pain, if it does you no good it no longer serves you. As you destroy the knotted cord, repeat the following chant: “Break the bond, heal the wound, break the bond, heal the wound, break the bond, heal the wound…” as many times as necessary.
  • When that’s all in pieces, take your charm. Place it over your heart while you’re looking into the candle, feel it’s light and warmth surrounding you, protecting you like a cocoon.
  • When you’re feeling calm and protected, repeat once more the long incantation from before, into the charm. Seal with a kiss and something like “so will it be”.
  • Blow out the candle, thank the universe or your deities for their support.
  • Keep the charm with you at all times, when you’re feeling low, place it over your heart again, and let it’s loving energy calm you and remind you of your inner light and strength. You can do this!!!

With love, Nao
