Special Needs Cat Show: A Purrfect way to help rescue cats in need

They may be missing an eye or two, some with crooked jaw/teeth, some with medical or physical needs. No matter what they look like, these extra special felines are purrfect just the way they are and they deserve to be loved. It won’t be easy to take care of them but Milo’s knows how rewarding it is to take in an animal that would otherwise sit in a shelter with no chance for adoption just because the cat is blind or has injuries from an accident or abuse.

That’s why Milo’s is hosting a very unique cat show and convention Saturday, September 13 in the Los Angeles area called “Walk A Mile In Our Paws”.

ABOUT GALILEO

So I may not be able to see you, but I can definitely feel you! My eyes were removed for health reasons, but it’s made my other senses stronger. My touch is now more gentle, my attention more keen, and my heart, bigger. I’m just as playful & social, too! I like to think I’m unique, & that a special someone will give me the same treatment I’ll give them unconditional love. Sight is important, but knowing I have you by my side? Well, that’s even better! Take me home today!

We got a sun lamp for my little old man cat to make him less crabby, and my blind cat has also started napping by it. Today, he woke up and was squinting at it.  We turned it off and he opened his eyes.  We turned it back on and after a moment, he squinted again.

My baby boy can see light!

I know he’ll never get his vision back.  I knowthat.

But.

I’ve been worried all this time that he’d fallen into a world of eternal darkness.  Knowing he can at least see light and shadow, even just a little bit, is so reassuring.  I’m so relieved.
