Kitten paralyzed by botched microchip insertion might walk again

The kitten had to be microchipped as part of the adoption process. But soon her rescuer noticed something had gone horribly wrong. The kitten started acting lethargic, couldn’t walk properly and dragging his entire left side. She thought it was odd since it happened right after the placement of the microchip.

Special Needs Cat Show: A Purrfect way to help rescue cats in need

They may be missing an eye or two, some with crooked jaw/teeth, some with medical or physical needs. No matter what they look like, these extra special felines are purrfect just the way they are and they deserve to be loved. It won’t be easy to take care of them but Milo’s knows how rewarding it is to take in an animal that would otherwise sit in a shelter with no chance for adoption just because the cat is blind or has injuries from an accident or abuse.

That’s why Milo’s is hosting a very unique cat show and convention Saturday, September 13 in the Los Angeles area called “Walk A Mile In Our Paws”.

We failed to take a photo before taking it in, but we brought a bundle to the shelter today! Food, treats, the leftover toys from our store & some of the kitty accessories for the volunteers to enjoy. Plus bleach! Cleaning supplies are well appreciated at shelters as they’re not often thought of.

It’s been more than 2 years since Lazarou was adopted and nearly 2 since Adamwe was. We are so grateful! Why not help out your own local shelter? Or ours

One day at work, a trash collector had a heart-warming encounter when he opened a trash bag.

A usual day for this employee at Philadelphia, PA is hauling trash bags deposited in the streets into the garbage truck. The routine was the same for this particular day. Nothing uneventful happened, until he noticed that there were movements in one of the bags. After he heard sound coming from it, he realized it was coming from a cat that was still inside the bag.

The collector released the kitten as soon as he could. She was then taken to the Providence Animal Shelter, and was aptly named after the Sesame Street character Grundgetta.

The animal shelter that took her confirmed that Grundgetta had been adopted by a loving new family.

It is truly inhumane to throw away such an innocent kitten away. Stories like this, however, provide hope for humans who are still compassionate and kind to animals.

We’ve had a hard time getting dogs like Ryan out of Clayton.
Even though he’s young, a lab, and fully funded, he’s got one strike against him- he’s a black dog!
It’s silly, but here that’s a major problem.
This beautiful guy needs a northern rescue where they love labs!!
Can you help us find one for him?

Blind Persian Cat Gets A Second Chance In Life After Being Rescued From A Dirty Pet Shop Where She Lost Her Sight

An Orphaned Baby Wombat Was Found In Her Dead Mother’s Pouch Weighing Just 120 Grams, Got Rescued.

The Bad and Sad:

His back looks a little odd there right? Kinda hunched up.

This sweet little stray kitten had severe lordosis with scoliosis, an enlarged heart, murmur, and he was anemic.

This is not compatible with long term life. His heart was being crushed between his spine and his sternum.

We gave him a yummy meal, snuggles, and humanely euthanized.

The interesting:

Approximately 18 month old feral tom with a significant pectus excavatum. Heart is shoved way over to the left but he is in amazing condition otherwise. Very lucky he survived this.

The good:
