dear old me,
it was easy losing yourself in someone else. his smile, his laugh, his daunting eyes and playful spirit. he made it easy for you to forget what was really important; yourself. it took years to fully piece yourself back together. however, it only took me a second to determine that i will never let someone destroy me again.

Dear whomever reads this,
Love is supposed to be gentle. Never easy, but never degrading. You’re supposed to uplift your partner in ways that others failed to. You’re never supposed to be the one tearing your partner down. You’re never supposed to lay a harmful hand on your partner. Nor are you supposed to manipulate them. Love is pure. Love isn’t having a claim on someone or owning them. It’s sacrifice. Commitment. Patience. Give and take. It is supposed to be equal. Anything less, you are simply not made for each other.
Never stay in a relationship because you feel you won’t find someone to want you, there are over 7 billion people in the world. I promise you will be wanted the way you deserve within time.

dear whomever reads this,
life is hard. shoot, its a pain in the bum. you feel as though no matter what, you do the wrong thing; or you should’ve done something differently and you’re never pleased with yourself. sometimes you feel it’d be easier if you were someone else, or even nonexistent. i get it. we’ve all been there at some point. life is hard.
but,
that doesn’t mean you give up. that doesn’t mean you throw in the towel and call it a day. that wont get you anywhere.
what you do is you pick yourself up and try again. if i’ve learned anything from this past summer is, tomorrow is a brand new day. dont let today get you down, when tomorrow has a chance of being better.
life is 100% what you make it. make sure you spend it well, because life doesn’t last forever.

its going to be okay. please, reel in a deep breath, take a look around, and sort your mind. everything will turn up, it cant stay bad forever. its just a matter of time before everything falls into place, right where it should be. okay, give it time. till that time, take care of yourself, enjoy a good book, or go for a run. its not the end of the world love, itll all work through love.
