Final design outcome of the belt attachment to vial box. I do need to get two clasps so they can hook onto the vial box. I have silver ones but for this I’ll need bronze ones. Overall I like how its come out. Will have full picture up in the near future. … … …
Making a belt attachment to go to the vial medical box I made. So it will have two ways to be worn. Design almost looks like a face mask one would wear to a ballroom dance back during the renaissance. Will have to test it out when all done to see how it supports the vial box, such as comfort wear, or if the box will tug or make belt sag on waist and so forth.

I don’t have anything awesome to confess today. My design process starts with an idea and moves directly into sculpting.
As I’m sculpting, the form and design usually come together organically. Other times, I’m sending pictures of design options and colors to my brother @bendragonstudio, my sister @celisticwolf and my bestie @punkdivaa311 .
I feel like I’m still finding or defining my style, and I’ve always been so indecisive in general, so I never really know what I like best.
This little “dragon chick” was a perfect example of my process: I knew I wanted to do yellow and use feathers. I was thinking of a chicken costume as my basic idea.
While mixing pink and yellow to make the orange color, I fell in love with the swirls, so I made the horns and belly with the marbled colors.
When it came to incorporating the feathers, I relied on my trusty friend triangle for feedback on which of two looks was voted cutest.
Edoardo Gellner and Carlo Scarpa: La chiesa di Corte de Cadore
Here is how two architects in the 50′s collaborate in the design of a church. Edoardo Gellner and Carlo Scarpa designed ‘La chiesa di Corte de Cadore’. The evolution of drawings from the general plan to the details are a good example to realize the importance of a collaborative design process, where a graphic dialogue evolves from a plot of ideas to the progressive definition of a structural system by studying its sections, details and views with accurate.
These gorgeous drawings came from the idea, however through measure they got the detail for its construction.

Between 50s and 60s Gellner & Scarpa made a fantastic collaborative design for La chiesa di Corte de Cadore. Check it out.
✏️Here are some preliminary sketches for the design “Taking Sides”, my latest t-shirt printed by @threadless (Swipe/click/scroll to see the the finished design). The idea behind this design is really very simple: If I order fries, that means I want fries. If I don’t order fries, that also means I want fries. T-shirts & other products featuring this design are available here.

I’m renowned for the precision and finesse of my thumbnail sketches. Actually, you’d be surprised how helpful they are and how much I refer back to them. 2.) Tracing paper is indispensable as I work my way though multiple attempts to simplify complex shapes while retaining their character. 3.) The more complete my preliminary drawing is, the less painful the final execution will be. (my reference candle was made by @mithrascandle) 4.) I find things less overwhelming when I batch my tasks, such as drawing all my shapes before even thinking about color. 5.) Crystal is an unusually challenging surface to represent, so I lean on plenty of reference and a methodical approach. 6.) Since I don’t use outlines, my colors need to be carefully chosen to create the right contrasts. 7.) All my shapes are similarly simple, but I can simulate light on both shiny and matte surfaces by adjusting the light/dark values in adjacent shapes. I hope this has gone some way towards demystifying a process that nobody has ever mentioned finding particularly mysterious. T-shirts & other products featuring this design are available here.
