Just had to share a design I recently finished up! I’ve actually had this design on the backburner for years, but got the drive to come back to finally finish it.
It’s referencing the amazing youtube channel The Brain Scoop and a discussion on conservation efforts being spent towards marketable animals like pandas vs more environmentally necessary animals like unionid bivalves.

You might remember Wil as the kid who played Gordie in the film Stand By Me. Or maybe from the half a decade he spent playing Wesley on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Or maybe from his multiple guest appearances on The Big Bang Theory, or CSI, or Family Guy, or Criminal Minds, or Eureka. Or maybe from the web series The Guild, or TableTop. So many things!
Thought I’d reblog this as Alan kindly put it up as the main image.
This is a poster I worked with Hank Green to make for Wil Wheaton’s debut line of merchandise at DFTBA. Was an awesome project with a really quick turnaround.
I love working with DFTBA. Happy to be making lots of work with them. I can never really eloquently explain how much I like making things like this. I just very much appreciate these kinds of opportunities, and happy Wil likes it too.
Go and take a look at the other shirts and posters too.
I decided I wanted to make my own paper cut version of a book cover for John Green’s ‘Looking for Alaska’. It’s based on a combination of the labyrinth idea within the book and the white flowers which are so significant.
This is NOT for sale, however I do have items for sale in my etsy shop.
If anyone wants to suggest other books for me to do covers for then feel free!I hope you like it. :)
‘Some days it’s okay for things to not be rationally true.’
A beautiful quote from Hank Green in the 'Thoughts from a butterfly hatch’ video which I made into a papercut. It’s done from a single sheet of A4 card. :)
As you can see from the second photo it is cut by hand with a craft knife from a single sheet of card. For the design I opted for Hazel and Gus holding hands, with Gus’s cigarette clasped between his fingers too. I hope you like it. :)
Obviously this piece isn’t for sale, however there is lots of my other work for sale in my shop here.
With the Mike Wazowski epidemic plaguing Carry On & Wayward Son covers, the clear solution here is to simply implement an additional decoy dust jacket!
