Hey everyone, long time no see eh?

I hope you all missed me, because I sure missed the atmosphere and vibe of tumblr….

I can’t believe it’s been close to a year since my last actual post.

What have I been doing while I’ve been gone?

Well not to be dramatic, but I’ve been trying to stay alive.

Before the pandemic hit things were ok…. I had a relationship that wasn’t really helping me grow, but he got me an iPad and upgraded my digital art skills.

And it took off from there. I’ve now sold pieces of my art, I hand make stickers & bookmarks & I sell postcard sized prints.

I went through some difficult times, I thought I’d found my twin flame and went full throttle into a living nightmare.

I lost my best friend of 5 years and also quit school.

When my family found out I quit school, they were mad. Which didn’t make sense to me, I don’t think college is so important. I understand how it helps some people with career goals in mind. But for me, it doesn’t make sense. There’s no degree for someone who wants to sit at home and read or paint.

My advisor and I talked about leaving school & he pointed out that every time we talked I drew, and he really liked the finished products.

So I took his advice, and started advertising my skills, pushing myself into every space I could find to get people to see what I make.

My mom didn’t like it, she said I shouldn’t put my faith in something that’s “luck of the draw”…. And that I should go back to school to get a real job.

Here’s the thing about college though…. I was spending a ton of money (10k) on classes I didn’t want to take, didn’t like, had a hard time understanding and since learning about my multiple disabilities…. School became miserable. Everytime my week got chaotic and super full I couldn’t sit down and manage my time, I got overly depressed and instead of trying to iron out a schedule I made plans to ✨unalive✨ myself. Not sure why the people in my family want me to continue on a parlous journey…. But some people just want things their way.

Any how….

I started an Etsy… which I will be closing soon… and I’m focusing only on Patreon.

It’s cheaper for everyone, and I have found a way to post my videos which makes me so happy.

I post a weekly picture, or progress photo or both! With a blurb of the time and brushes it took to create the picture.

And once a month I send out physical items.

I have Four Tiers

• Tier One, seeds: $1, you get a shout out on all most posts, all my videos & get access to all my content (videos, brushes,stamps,pictures,downloadable content)
• Tier Two, Seedlings $3, AKA Sticker Club. You get access to all my content and a monthly sticker from the months theme.
• Tier Three, Blossoms $5, AKA Bookmark Club. All access to my content, a monthly sticker & a monthly bookmark.
• Tier Four, Good Gourd $10, AKA Print Club. Access to ALL my content, a monthly sticker, bookmark and 5x7 print with a specialized note & occasional surprises.

And….. I’m hoping that once I reach ten patrons I can start sending birthday gifts to my patrons.

I had to draw him admiring his beautiful self. He’s getting ready to emperor for the day, wearing Pacha’s wife, Chicha’s, sweater ahaha. Can you just imagine the messages he writes to himself on the mirror ✨ I haven’t spent so much time on a background (foreground?) in ages so I hope you like the attention to detail! This took me AGES, wanted it to be just right. Do these hills sing? I always loved the title screen in the movie so I redrew the items in it here. Boom baby!! ✨

The next Paintable ‘One Week Portrait’ challenge is starting on Monday (11th April)!

Just sharing the one I did for last year’s OWP - it was a lot of fun, especially because I thought I wouldn’t be able to participate due to a house move around the same time.

This year I’ll be painting a self-portrait to use as my profile picture across my channels!
