In the days of ‘pay for promotion,’ the people looking for an organic following are getting lost in the shuffle of people competing for exposure. In starting an Instagram page for my children, I’ve noticed a lot has changed in the last five years or so. Mostly, engagement alone is not enough to get you seen by people using the app. It doesn’t matter how much you post, comment or like…we just aren’t getting seen. The ones getting views on Instagram are the ones paying for it. I’ve found numerous apps or websites that create basic comments and will unfollow people who don’t follow you back. Has this become our experience on Instagram? I just want the old, natural social app that actually promotes real social engagements. Nobody will probably even see this.
Ops! I forgot to edit the last two seconds out of my last Instagram video. So I pissed off the Facebook gods. Thankfully I deleted it just in time on here. Such a shame that Facebook won’t allow harmless nudity, showing the human body in a non sexual way. Yet they support Trump and his horrible, racist bigot remarks. This is totally fucked up!
Hello fellow Tumblrs! I know I haven’t posted in a while, I just have tons going on right now with my new job and all. But I haven’t forgotten y’all, don’t worry! However today’s post is not related to history, it’s rather special actually.
This post is a shout-out to a very special, admirable woman. Her name is Christine Iliadis (yes, she’s my mother). She is a talented and dedicated author, not to mention a kind and loving mother. She also has a new FB group entitled “Writer’s Block”, a community of authors, writers and bloggers that help each other succeed in the writing world.
