Well friends, i need to spend more time behind the scenes at Team Green. We have grown so much and there is work to do for the animals and vegan athletics. Surrounded by cichlids, Daisy the #hippo naps in surprisingly clear water. Hippopotami each produce hundreds of pounds of poop a day, and mostly while they’re soaking. When large groups of hippos congregate in rivers, the sheer amount of excrement that accumulates can result in such deoxygenated water that aquatic life downstream literally suffocates! When hippos are in human care, that preference for pooping underwater can make it very hard for their pool water to stay clear enough for zoo guests to actually see the animals: new exhibits, like this one that opened at the Fort Worth Zoo in 2018, are designed with truly heroic water filtration systems to address that problem. Another solution? Those cichlids aren’t just in the tank because pretty fish add another visual dimension. The “leaf-like” profile created by the high, laterally compressed neck feature here puts me in mind of phasmid or chameleon-style camouflage….I can almost see it rocking in the breeze.

Even if you discount the fact that listening nut-job orgs like PETA are about as “factual” as the Weekly World News (for Christ’s sake, they think dairy causes autism and that a monkey taking a selfie counts as “animal cruelty”)…
…vegetarianism and veganism are CHOICES. Do it or don’t, but don’t knock anyone else for their choice.
What do the predators eat in the movie? I mean they’re carnivores. They have to eat meat. You see the prey and herbivores eating veggies and hops selling carrots and blueberries. Does that mean the carnivores eat other animals that they keep on a farm like we do? Or maybe that’s why we never see cows of chickens in the movie?! They keep them as livestock. OR IS THIS A SOCIETY WHERE ANIMALS HAVE EVOLVED AND TAKEN OVER THR WORLD LEADING TO THE HUMANS ENSLAVEMENT?? ARE HUMANS THE LIVESTOCK?!?!
