Hey I️ hope who ever reading this is doing well,
Even though I️ have 0 followers I️ thought I️ should just kinda introduce myself~ I’m hannah I’m 16 years old I️ live in LA (but I️ wish I️ lived in the UK) I’m Danish/German/Swedish and I️ love rainy cold weather and being all snug so that’s why I️ decided to make this account so I️ can just get inspiration and feel nice and cozy. my favorite gingerbread man recipe!
Ingredients||
½ cup butter, softened//
¾ cup packed dark brown sugar//
1/3 cup molasses//
1 large egg//
2 tablespoons water//
2-2/3 cups all-purpose flour//
1 teaspoon baking soda//
½ teaspoon salt//
2 teaspoons ground ginger//
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon//
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg//
½ teaspoon ground allspice//
Frosting of choice//
Directions||
1. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in molasses, egg and water. In another bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients minus frosting; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Divide dough in half. Shape each into a disk; wrap in plastic. Refrigerate until easy to handle, about 30 minutes.
2. Preheat oven to 350°. On a lightly floured surface, roll each portion of dough to 1/8-in. thickness. Cut with a floured 4-in. gingerbread man cookie cutter. Place 2 in. apart on greased baking sheets.
3. Bake until edges are firm, 8-10 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Frost as desired. Yield: about 2 dozen.

Are you a fan of The Handmaid’s Tale? I admit I haven’t read the book yet, but I’ve seen two seasons of the show and I’m hooked and can’t wait to have time to catch up on the latest. Then after I think it’s time for me to start these books because the story is so compelling and intriguing, all the whole being disturbing and scary. I can’t wait to find out both what happened before and after!

What do you like to do on a day when you are completely free (of work, chores, everything)?
My day today - though started on a rocky footing - got so much better! I met up with @ursula_uriarte and we spent hours just walking around, drinking tea and taking pictures and I already miss her companion; it’s just so much different when you are not alone neither in your adventures of picture taking or wandering around.
I took this picture last week, also with Ursula. Guess she and Oslo in the fall are just that inspiring.
Btw, this is the Nasjonalbiblioteket, the National Library of Oslo that blooms in red every fall.

I didn’t have the best day, so gush about 3 of your current favorite things.
Had the worst cramps in a long while today so I took about 3 naps yet I’m still so sleepy. I had to skip my norwegian lesson today as I didn’t have the strength to even put clothes on, let alone go out in the rain and spend 2 and a half hours in school. I’m snuggled in bed right now, thinking about what to read before sleep inevitably claims me.

Anything exciting happening/happened today? Apart from me taking a nap, I had a kinda productive day. Also I’m trying to accomplish small goals and I’m on the right track hopefully. Fingers crossed my brain won’t start acting up anytime soon.

It’s Halloween month!! Do you like/celebrate Halloween?
Back in Hungary, it’s not really a big thing, mostly just the parties and dressing up, but here in Norway, it’s getting bigger. My host kids are going trick-or-treating and they’ve been excited about the whole thing since the beginning of September!
Anything you like to do to prepare? I just put up some fake spiderwebs around my desk/wall, got some ceramic pumpkins and will throw in some fake autumn leaves too. First time that I can deck my place in autumn-y stuff.

Ever get so busy you don’t even have time to check your phone?
Sorry for being kinda MIA, I had a couple of very busy days. Yesterday I started my second Norwegian course, which is fun but there’s only 6 of us and the others all know each other, so it’s only me whose the outsider. So I was preparing for that for the last couple days.
Then today I met up with @ursula_uriarte finally, and went around the city a bit, even though it was a disgusting rainy weather.
But the fun ended there, my middle host kid has gotten sick, the parents asked me to cut the kids hair, so it was just thing upon thing to do. I hope to catch up with some comments and your posts from the missed time but I have school again so I’m not sure how it will go. But for now, I’m gonna like some posts here and then go to bed, I’m beat.
