UPDATE :: The next book reviews are….

• The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkin Gilman

It was on my long list of to be reviewed books, mostly because it’s one of my favorites. The books I’ve already read are actually taking me longer to review since I have to go back and read them, but someone in my inbox told me I should review it so it’s the first on my list now to review.

• The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe

Another short that I absolutely loved, so why not bundle my two favorites to review.

• A Court of Thorns and Roses Series (1-3) by Sarah J. Maas

I read the series last summer and I have to revisit my thoughts of the series, but I did immensely enjoy them. I’m not reviewing the last book, A Court of Silver Flames, because I haven’t read it, yet and I’m sorta hesitating until the next book is released (Mostly because I hear it might be around Azrael, so might as well bundle the two books together).

• Throne of Glass Series (1-7) by Sarah J. Maas

literally just finished the last book yesterday and while I did review the first one and wasn’t all that excited to read the rest of the books, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I never doubted Sarah J. Maas (one of the few authors I like off of BookTok), but the first two books were an uphill battle to get through. Though the last books make me emotional unstable…I’ll just save the rest of my comments for the reviews.

This is an ask for my fav ACOTAR/ToG fanfic writers who have seen Gilmore Girls!

Grumpy Lorcan and Elide always reminded me of Luke and Lorlai from Gilmore girls. Can one of you lovely fanfic writers write a fic where everyone thinks Lorcan is a jerk cause he is a bit of a loner and keeps to himself. But Elide worms her way into his seemingly cold heart and realizes that he’s the one that is doing random nice things around town (like fixing broken mailboxes and fence posts and helping old ladies with their groceries) when nobody is looking? Maybe even has done nice things for Aelin and co’s family without them knowing? It’s a small town, after all.

Can also loosely be based of this, put your own spin on it! Its just something that’s been in my head but I am not even close to being able to write as well as all you guys!

I kinda think that that is where @shyvioletcat​ might go in his/her Light The Sparksfic(Elide and that bus stop without the awnings that casually she told Lorcan about) but I could be off the mark on that! If I am, @shyvioletcat​ hint hintttttttt. :D

I know it’s A Court of Silver Flames but everytime I see ACOSF I read A Court of Star Fall.

Currently rereading every single Sarah j Maas book so I’m refreshed and caught up entirely when I finally read A Court of Silver Flames

Just the fact that one of the first things Dorian wanted to do when he shifted into a woman was masturbate says so much about him

Rereading Heir of Fire and read the first time Manon says “from now until darkness claims us” let’s just say I’m in tears. Had to close the book and put it down, I need a moment.

This is a little project I’ve been working on as an acotar/tog crossover. I thought I’d give you guys a sneak peek for if I ever decide to post the full thing. Anyway, you’ll never guess who Fenrys’ lover is. (Don’t tell me I’m weird if you figure it out)

Whimpering, Fenrys put a shield around himself that he knew would do no good, his body shivering as the house shivered. His ears rung with every crash, the grumble bouncing around in his head.

The bedroom door opened. He should have locked it. Should have left before this city of light was torn apart, cast into eternal darkness along with all the people within it. 

“Fenrys?” 

Fenrys squeezed his eyes shut as thunder sent the windows rattling.

Someone was in front of him. Kneeling there. She was using his lover’s voice, coaxing him out only to go for the throat in the next. He knew it. She’d done it before.

“Hey, what’s going on? Fenrys. Look at me.”

No. Because when he opened his eyes, it would be real. She’d take him, thrust him back into a nightmare of her own making.

“Puppy.Look at me.”

The pure command in that voice called to him, a shout in the dark. And that name. She didn’t know that name. Only those here, those in the City of Starlight, had ever called that name and only to one would he listen for it.

Quaking, he peeled open his eyes to find a man before him, hands hovering over his body. No. Not hovering. The faint glimmer of gold in the air told Fenrys his shield had worked. 

“There you are,” his lover breathed and the shadows around Fenrys tightened. “Can you put down this shield for me?”

Anyway, let me know if you’re interested and if you have any guesses to who Fenrys’ lover is.

To whatever end.

I’m not going to on and on about this. I finished Kingdom of Ash and have been crying for 30 minutes now. A truly heartbreakingly beautiful end to a stunning and life altering series. I feel blessed to have read every dark, joyful and inspiring word on the page.

A better world is all we can hope and strive to achieve.

I’ve decided that I don’t give a crap if it makes a good book or not, none of the main characters should die in KOA.  Aelin, Rowan, Dorian, Manon, Elide, Lorcan, Gavriel, Aedion, Lysandra, Evangeline, Chaol, Yrene, Nesryn, Sartaq, Asterin, Fenrys, etc.  I’m pretty sure Sarah will have put them and us through enough by the time the last word is written.   I’m just putting that out there.  

I’m so pissed at myself.  I said I was taking a break from tumblr so I wouldn’t spoil my read of Kingdom of Ash.  I even set up the tag blocking to avoid it.  Let’s cut to me this morning thinking I could do an innocent check in since I missed your crazy mothers.  Instead, I see an anti-SJM post with quite possibly significant spoilers who proceeds to go on a motherf*&^T tirade about a book that no one else has seen so they could ruin it for others.  I couldn’t look away - I was stunned…and then I swear to all that is holy my laptop barely survived.   

Here’s the thing.   I know whatever Sarah has in store for us, there is going to be a LOT of hate.  People are going to lose their shit over anything and everything.  I learned that from the last 3 books she released & the reaction.  It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if there’s another cataclysmic rift in the SJM fandom.  The books aren’t perfect, but damn it, they are an escape, and they bring me joy.  Sue me.  I’m also completely fine if you hate it.  It’s your perspective, and it should be respected. 

But for fuck’s sake, at least wait until the gods damned book has been out more than a day before you spew your hate into the ether.

Thus ends the rant.  I’m sure I’ll have a meltdown after the damn book is out. It appears to be my thing now.  In truth, I’m sure I’ll really enjoy it. It won’t be perfect (see velvet wrapped steel :|), but what is these days?
