Hey, here’s another fun one for the Collector!Luz theorists (though it might’ve been said before):
I remember someone saying that while Belos says the day of unity is happening when the tide is low, king tide (like king’s tide) is actually high tide, so what’s up with that?
And so I looked it up to see if it had any other facts or symbolism, and uh
We already know what the sun and the moon are. And Belos mentioned that they’d be aligned.
But the earth… don’t they live on the boiling isles? There is no “earth” here. Why reference king tide if-
How many times has Luz gotten upset that King and Hooty know to embrace her to make her feel better?

I’ll never grow tired of the found family trope. I want a big family portrait with these three, Hooty, Lilith, Gwen Dell, Camilla and Vee in the Owl House now!
King Clawthorne, the last Titan. I think it’s safe to say that The Titan is King’s father. Died protecting his son from the Collector and the Titan Trappers.
Eda is gonna go all Harpy mode on their asses next week! What a cliff hanger!
Don’t get me wrong, Eda is a great mother and parental figure, especially to King and Luz.
But I’d rather see Darius take Hunter in.
I mean, it kind of seems they’re heading in that direction anyway. The previous Golden Guard was Darius’ mentor, so it’d be nice to see Darius mentor Hunter without the threat of Belos.
Glad to see Darius has a new friend group. Take that Alador and Odalia!

One thing I love about this show is how even the most angst filled episodes can be filled with lighthearted humor.
The Collector! There’s something about chaotic demons that I just love.
Belos or Phillip or whatever you wanna be called, you are a piece of shit!
Hunter’s reaction is so great and feels very real. Zeno Robinson is insanely talented as are the animators. I’m glad he didn’t stay with the Owl gang, as that would feel very happy ending like. He’ll return when he needs too with Flapjack and a stack full of glyphs.
My poor Owlet is traumatized. She inadvertently helped a witch hunter and now may possibly never see her mom again. Ms. Terrace, you may pay for my therapy.
If Luz finds out Phillip and Belos are the same person in this episode, she’s going to realize he never returned to the human world. Which means Luz might think she’ll never see her mom again.
Forget what I said last week, this is my favorite episode!!
King is connected to the Collector now as many theorized and they know now too! Only a matter of time until he tells Belos.

I love how Steve had one line in season 1 but the fandom just fell in love with him anyway! To see him grow from a background character to now a side character is amazing! I love him so much.
This broke my heart. They love each other so much they don’t wanna lose one another. God I really thought Luz would call Eda mom in these tense scenes. Something like, “please don’t send me away mom!”
All she wanted was a fun summer learning magic. Now she’s getting arrested for what, the second time?
OK I need a young Eda Hexside series now! All four of them went to the same school and from their conversations, Raine and Darius hung out too in some way.
I fucking lost it at this scene. Darius getting angry, Raine building up a dramatic reveal and Luz with her hoodie! Screw it, we’re sticking with the CATTs!
FINALLY!! We’ve waited so long for this and next week Luz finally gets her Palisman! I’m going to love whatever it is, whether it’s a blue jay, bat, snake, a chimera of all, or something else entirely. Another fantastic episode, Dana and her crew keep knocking it out of the park. Two episodes left of season 2 and I can tell they are gonna destroy us!
I love it when Luz and Eda mimic each other. This was such a cool fight.
I thought his scar was fake until it reappeared on his face again. He’s falling apart I’m surprised he’s lasted this long.
God this is horrifying. I really want Dana to go full horror in her next series.
King in the graveyard of the Golden Guards was chilling.
I love them so much! He’s just a chaotic little baby with God like powers. I’m sure we’ll see him again.
Raine kept their promise to Luz! I jokingly said Eda could just take her arm off and be fine. Didn’t realize how right I was gonna be.
I’ve gotten teary eyed before at this show but never full on cry. King’s sacrifice changed that.
Wow. Luz and her friends are all in the Human Realm now. I don’t know how to feel. Happy that Camilla is with her daughter again but devastated that Luz lost Eda and King and the others on the Boiling Isles.
And now only 3 episodes left. So much to answer and unfortunately not enough time. I can’t wait for season 3 to be released because Dana and crew are hard at work! Until then, we enter another hiatus.
So I’ve seen people talking about how Luz could potentially join the emperor’s coven wanting the use the day of unity so she wouldn’t have to chose a world to live in. But I really don’t think she would, maybe when she first got to the Isles when she didn’t think things through that well but after everything I don’t think she would go that way, Belos would definitely offer and she’d consider it for a second imagining the perfect world where she could have everything. But in the end she would refuse knowing something like that would only cause chaos and pain. Also if Witterbane theory is true it could lead to a heart stopping moment where Belos replies “You remind me so much of him.”
OR
Luz does join the coven but does it to betray Belos, leaving Amity a message on the little Tamagotchi thing to let everyone know her plans also serving as a cool Eclipse Lake call back.
