I didn’t know anyone was still not sure if Belos was Phillip until I came onto tumblr today. People were talking about the reveal and I went ??? What?? I watched the whole episode what reveal?? Eda’s dad? Only for people to mean Phillip/Belos. This feels like Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond all over again.
There’s a possibility that this is just supposed to represent his voice getting corrupted as he’s taken over more and more by wild magic; that him having a different VA as pure Philip was to keep us from having his identity confirmed by the VA. That’s possible.
But with the “The Emperor is looking forward to meeting you”, and his eyes sometimes being blue and sometimes being green, I’m genuinely starting to wonder if there are two people inside Belos. If he and his brother are… combined, somehow. Some magical accident? Is that why he built a new body– not to put himself into, but to separate out his brother?

That would explain how Hunter seems to be a replica of Phillip’s brother in every way but this:

Either that or Phillip had to use bits of himself to complete the spell??
I still feel like so much more is pointing towards Hunter being some-sort of sacrifice, but this theory is going to be nagging at me for a long ass time
Because I’m ✨fruity✨ my theory is that Darius and Alador use to be best friends. Darius developed a crush on Alador and Alador was probs too oblivious to notice. Then here comes the bitch from hell-I mean Odalia. We all know she loves power and to be at the top. These two guys were probably the strongest witches in their track, thus Odalia wanted one of them. My guess is maybe Darius at first but he saw through her bs. So she went after Alador instead, it worked obviously. Darius tried to tell him but Alador didn’t want to hear any of it. Darius didn’t want to see his friend, and crush, with someone who doesn’t actually care for him. So instead, Darius pushed him away and they became rivals.

If one wanted to assign Dungeons & Dragons subclasses to Owl House characters, then — given their skill at infiltrating the Emperor’s inner circle under a harmless guise, manipulating those who would try to manipulate them, and using this position to root out secrets and collaborate with a small group of equally ruthless rebels — one could arguably diagnose Raine, without even intending the pun, as a College of WhispersBard.
Remember when Follies at the Coven Day Parade first came out, and people were analyzing the effects of Terra’s tea; And a lot of us pointed out that it didn’t make sense for her tea to erase ONLY the last month of memories for Raine, because they made the choice to rebel several yearsago?
…I always love it when a plot hole is actually foreshadowing for a hidden truth going on in the background. And the viewers are MEANT to notice the discrepancy and question if things aren’t as they appear! We’re rewarded for critically analyzing and asking, holding the show to that standard because the show is confident enough to live up to that and play with those expectations.
It’s not like Terra knows when Raine first started to think treasonous thoughts, so she only erased their direct actions of the past month, not realizing Raine’s machinations went that far back, that they got away with this for that long and not just a month! Underestimating them, not realizing the meek and stage fright Raine Whispers has been deliberately walking into fire this whole time, instead of making a recent decision on a sudden whim! This is a deeply-held ideal formed from lifelong beliefs integral to Raine’s character, they’re serious about this and not some silly kid, Terra. If you want to make Raine stop, you’re gonna have to change them on a fundamental level until they’re no longer Raine at all; THIS IS WHO THEY ARE.
Their surname is Whispers, and so the viewer and characters might interpret this as alluding to Raine being quiet and anxious; But in reality, it refers to Raine being a clever, cunning manipulator who hides in plain sight and operates in the background. They’re a bard; And bards do love those double meanings and wordplay after all, taking into account and predicting how the audience might think and taking advantage of that, presenting key information so as to carefully guide a certain thought process…!
