What’s this creature? A magical glob? you tell me
This just started as a quick value sketch, but then I started wondering about the process of adding color to a grayscale painting.
A few layers later and this is the result, which actually came out better than I thought it would.
I’m not necessarily a fan of coloring a piece that way, but it’s a quick and easy way to turn a value sketch into something more.
Been working on this for the past couple days, and I think it’s finally done!
I didn’t quite hit the look I was going for (it came out a little too cartoony), but I’m happy with it and I learned a lot during the process, which is always great.
Hope you like it!
Made this little series of minimal watercolor paintings a little while ago, hope you like them!
Thought I’d share these together since I made a few more and really like how they look as a whole :)

Reassigning Fantasy Accents:
Gnomes now sound like James Earl Jones.
Vampires now talk like Deep South, inbred from inbred and inbred again, get off my land, no fancy book learning, rednecks.
Fairies/Pixies are from the Canadian maritimes (similar to the Minnesota accent but a little more british/scottish)
Goblins are from Newfoundland.
Okay I had to make a post about my Spotify wrapped…
If this doesn’t scream my aesthetic, I don’t know what does!
Do you think this Spotify Wrapped explains me as a witch, a blog, and a person? Let me know! And tag me in your #spotifywrapped to judge you, I mean your music tastes.
