When people invented the isekai trope of “human summoned to another world, losing everything with the imminent threat of never returning home, and being enslaved all for the sake of cleaning up someone else’s mess”—

Did anyone else make the connection that when humans summon demons, spirits, or in some cases angels we are doing the exact same thing to them?

Something I’ve always wanted to do…is to create a small clothing boutique with my own designs. But the twist would be that each collection would be based off of an original story prompt written to show the various beauties of how our humanity can be expressed alongside the elements of nature and different places and time periods, and to empower those who wear the outfits with their stories in mind.

A way to further spread positive magick and influence through collaborative creativity, if you will!

The sky very suddenly turned yellow. Now everything outside is tinted yellow. It’s quite pretty with all the mellow rain.

Guys, whatever happens, never let me travel to a fantasy world. I would die immediately. The second I saw something fluffy, regardless of if it was a beastkin person or a dire wolf or an actual, real, live forest monster, I would risk my life to pet the fluff and die smiling.

Every time I play a video game or watch an epic anime, it always makes me wish I could live somewhere less boring and mundane. Somewhere I could fight and stand for something. Somewhere true adventure was still possible, in whatever random form it appeared in. Somewhere I could take control of my own life without someone bigger than me lauding my human rights over me, toying with them in their hands. Somewhere I didn’t feel so suffocated…

Then I remember that this world can become like that too.

This is my battle. The reason I fight. To create a world that isn’t suffocating to myself and everyone else who experiences this feeling. To craft and mold a world where people are free to chase after any dream they desire.

And I’ll follow through with that sentiment with my bare hands if I must.

Becausethis, this massive, crazy world right here in front of us, this is our adventure. Each and every struggle we face, big and small, are our quests to complete and main bosses to vanquish. Our victories, both little and grand, are our rewards and levels ups and new achievements unlocked. Each and every skill and asset we get our hands on are our inventory and equipment. And every bit of wisdom we acquire, every lesson we learn from our blunders and our triumphs, are the experience we need to propel us further forward towards our final goals, whatever they may be.

I don’t actually want to run away to some far off fantasy, I truly just want to live.

And that is something I will never stop striving for.

And now I ask you, too, dear reader…

What it is you fight for?

Reading back through some of my favorite older myths, there are a lot of the “King in the Mountain” tropes where a great hero of yore doesn’t actually die, they just go chill somewhere until their given countries “time of need”. So like..the apocalypse is going to be pretty epic if any of these are true.

Omg so I just watched a movie called Wolfwalkers. And it’s this beautifully animated movie about old Irish folklore werewolf-ish people and it is probably my new favorite movie. I highly suggest watching it. It’s so good!

I’ve been obsessed with this mix for a while :) I never knew that there was medieval revival music in the 60s. Credit to @teleglamslam on TikTok.

thinking about my elf OC today that I’ve been developing since I was six years old and now I’m taking a college level course and studying elvish language to further validate him

Faramir: desperate for approval, old cave systems, waterfalls in the moonlight, remembering myth, pine trees in the wild, ruined cities restored, well worn paths

Theoden: weathered faces, greying hair, wisdom earned through experience, strength to lend to soldiers, fingers gripping the hilt of a familiar sword, riding to the aid of another

Elrond: looking into the future, fear of darkness, vaulted ceilings, flute music, fine silk, light filtering through trees, shimmer of water under the moon, honoring old allies

So anyways tonight I am crying about how beautifully Aulë’s description of the Dwarves of his creation was, rather than simply their hardened and nearly comical exteriors as presented in the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. The Dwarves are devoted to their work, yes, but through the lens of Aulë’s passion and lovefor his creatures do we truly see the softer, more beautiful side of the Dwarves and their rough exteriors and creations.

They may work in the darkness and in stone, but they are craftsmen with finelyhoned talent, intricacy, and attention to detail just like their creator. Their beauty lies in their fortitude, their strength to cradle the most precious of jewels and yet survive in grandiose halls of stone. They are much like the Elves in that regard, as the Elves live long in the strongest of trees (as in Lothlorien) yet they care for the most delicate of flowers, seeds and patterns. One is a beauty of dusty, dirty things and the other is a beauty of light colors and softness. They are quite harmonious when one considers.

I need everyone to tell me their favorite fantasy movie NOW because I’ve been on a quest to watch as many as possible that are on streaming lol. I’ve got YouTube literally full of foreign language films ready to go. I saw a couple on Hulu that I’ve heard of but never saw. Any suggestions???

I’m making a mini series of fantasy creatures! <3

This being lives in the forests and has a gentle soul with everything that surround them.

I’m trying to learn more about illustrating fantasy characters. This is my first time and it’s just an study but I wanted to show you <3

WIZARD SECRET #5

It is hard to accurately judge the age of a wizard. This is because a wizard must above all else have imagination - and to have a strong enough imagination to do wizard magic, they must be deeply connected connected to their inner child.

Also, the beards don’t help.

WIZARD TIP #7

When the depression hits, it’s okay to say you’re running low on mana. Sometimes looking after yourself is as taxing as a good Fireball. Heavy lies the head that wears the pointy hat

WIZARD SECRET #6

A wizard never reveals the true extent of his powers. Better to take credit for every coincidence. Keep them guessing
