I had a turnaround I used to model the character in this post (I need to do some full-body renders of her now that I think about it), I just shaded it and added a simple background to make it slightly more presentable for my portfolio.

I hope I can get away with a fan character in my portfolio. :V

Moana facial expressions. It was very challenging to make her every expressions and attitudes look like a 14 year old girl. Drawing a girl is always much harder than drawing a male character at least for me.

Some model sheets & keyframes for a concept I did a few years ago called “Postal Heroes.” These designs were fun since I met someone on Discord who used to be a postal worker and got their feedback on the designs to make sure the outfits & story beats were accurate

For Niko, I had to color these fish, then figure out blacklight party colors for them. Coming up with the proper palette and style for this took a long time but I love how it came out

Jean Blanchard’s Bugs Bunny model sheet for the McKimson Unit, 1947. Bob McKimson had drawn the definitive Bugs model in 1943 and then Blanchard designed this strikingly different version of the character a few years later. The range of expressions and attitudes shown here in her model sheet only begin to suggest the unbelievable range of animated “acting” achieved in Bob’s cartoons throughout the 1940s and how the great characters like Bugs developed different nuances as the decade progressed. McKimson was a great, underrated animator.

Here are some designs from Mega Football, plus bonus Elodie in pjs from Mystery Sleepover! It was delightful to draw from @scrotumnoseand@haewon-lee ‘s cute and very action packed boards for this ep! And @dannyduckerand@killapede did a great job figuring out elodie’s v princessy look for Sleepover. Also, mega football features @miraongchua‘s character Glitter Starlight in a major role, so she’s finally got a back view! Amazing colors by @kalidraws and art direction by John Pham!

Our first OK KO miniseries aired yesterday, and continues airing all week! The crew all worked so hard on this thing and we hope you love it! Wisdom, Strength, and Charisma was boarded by @stevieborbollaand@ryannshannon, and they did a stellar job establishing the world of Point Prep. It was a challenge to design every character introduced here, since they all needed to work as the final design for every subsequent ep in the miniseries. I referenced literally everyone’s boards and concepts for this batch! Koala princess was created by @ianjq, hopefully he will post her original concept drawing! I referenced @miraongchuaand@cartoonfuntime‘s boards as well both for her and Miss Pastel. Phoebe was originally @dannyducker‘s character as well, but I based her final design off the way @scrotumnose drew her in Mega Football & beefed her up a bunch. And finally, @brandonwuart did concepts for Miss Sunshine, so I based her final model off both his concepts and the boarders’ drawings of her throughout the series. @kalidraws also worked so hard and did an amazing job on the colors! I love all these characters and I hope you do too!

Drawing guides for Trickshot I made for my short! 

Trickshot, as the middle sibling, lands in-between cartoony Pocket and his more grounded big brother, the Prince. You can see this most clearly in his hands. They’re usually at least partially articulated, except at a distance.

The bottom image shows a comparison between the storyboard and the final layout drawings I sent as reference. Trickshot’s model changed a bit between storyboard and final, so I wanted to make sure eMation had a clear idea of what level of fidelity to the board was important to me.

EO Character Design Turnaround. Now you can see the back of his shoes (honestly I would wear a pair of them if I could).

Captain EO Year One is a FAN PROJECT. New art posts will drop like an old-school episode every Thursday. Next Thursday we will see EO from several angles.

TRad and TEnid from Let’s Fight to the End! I did the top monochromatic version a bit early so we could send the designs to @porigoshi so he could start animating the amazing fight sequence from the second half of the episode! As always, these were a huge collab! @ianjq drew concepts for both of them, and @killapede designed the concepts for TEnid and @dannyducker designed TRad specifically - they all came up with super fun poses and ideas. I had so much fun w/their final designs - I love drawing flying characters! They were also brought to life w/boards and animation by @killapede,@maxcollins,@stevieborbolla , Kofi Fiagome, and @porigoshi ! The beautiful final colors were designed by @kalidraws - art direction was by Kali as well! We all put a ton of love into the finale and we hope you all loved it too! <3

Happy Halloween! Monster Party aired on TV yesterday! This ep was so much fun. These are all based on @ryannshannonand@stevieborbolla ‘s beautiful boards! @ianjq did a lot of work/drawovers with me on the 3 girls’ designs as well to get em perfect, & Ben Bates did the models for Tanis and Winnie! @kalidraws worked so hard on the colors for all these night scenes, & John Pham helped us really sell the HB sequences! We were actually able to get the original Ghoul School model sheets for those scenes. It came out so good!
