Me: How does it feel to hold something that was once part of you but never again will be? Do you feel a tiny moment of grief? Of wonder at your body? Of nostalgia? How does it feel to grasp one of the planks of your own ship of theseus?
I tried to get out of the house for a bit with Yuki. She had fun while I was eaten alive by flies but it felt empty without Curly. Yuki had a blast saying hello to all the people we passed and confused my friend’s puppy when she said hello to him. Poor puppy didn’t know what to make of Yuki after she spoke to him and you could see the gears turning in his little head.
Yes i’ve been playing Fire Emblem 3 houses, yes I’m obsessed, yes I’ve been jamming out to the soundtrack, and yes I’ve already finished a play through. I’m a sucker for the Golden Deers, they are my precious children.
Just a heads up that I’ll be very busy for the next few weeks, so I won’t be posting for a while. I’m going a lot of places though so I’ll definitely have a lot of bird pics for when I come back. This will be the last picture of my babies I’ll post for a while though. ToT
It was around this time last year we got Goose. Looking back at pictures of her still makes me sad. I can’ttake pictures of her anymore, but it makes me appreciate the ones I do have of her. So I just want to remind everyone to appreciate your pets/companions every single day. Never take them for granted. Even if taking care of them can get hard sometimes we need them just as much as they need us. Treasure every memory, every photo, every moment because it’s what you’ll wish you had more of when they’re gone.
