Y éste año ? Bueno, cumplí uno de mis grandes sueños weones de la vida: mapaches ♡ De las veces que he estado en Tokyo o en Seoul, nunca había dado con ningún café de mapaches, el año pasado primera vez que fui a uno de gatos, perros y también de mascotas exóticas. Pero el de mapache siempre había sido mi prioridad ~~ Qué weás más lindas, tan inteligentes, hábiles y malvados ~~ me hace questionarme mis decisiones mascotiles

Me prometí que no iba a hacer una reflexión de final de año, pero viendo las fotos que no había subido, recordé un montón de cosas que hice y gente que conocí y la verdad fue todo demasiado bakán. Aún quedan 24 horas de este 2019 y el 2020 se viene bueno ♡

… y honestamente más allá del año y algo de clases de mandarín que yo ya había tomado (que poco y nada te enseñan en realidad), me fui así sin más, apenas sabiendo decir “cuánto cuesta?” y “gracias”. Pero todo eso, por lo mismo de ese estar tan lejos y tan sola, y no entendiendo nada, me dio una sensación ridícula y desbordante de libertad, de sentir que lo podía todo.
Vine a caer en cuenta que ya van casi 7 años de ésto. Que estaba yo tan mal y la había pasado tan mal el 2013, que necesitaba despejarme, de alguna manera. Y claro, no se me pudo haber ocurrido nada más extremo que haberme ido a China, a aprender chino, por un par de meses (2014)~
Es tan raro pensar que cosas tan comunes como ir al 苏果 de la esquina de la U y comprar los snacks de siempre, es acá casi imposible y el triple de caro, lo había olvidado. Encontré una nueva cede del @chinahousemarket.cl acá en Provi y no me aguanté. Pero onda, la lata de cerveza que allá me cuesta ¥3 (como 300 pesos Chilenos) me salió $1000 . Pero filo, compré varias cosas que allá como siempre ♡ pequeñas cosas que me harán sobrevivir esta cuarentena ♡
Well, nothing has really happened in the last few weeks (or is it months already?). I have given up to this feeling of general numbness, I lost the will of doing things and its getting harder to work on that thesis, specially with everything thats going on, and not really knowing when I can go back to China (?) Not that I’m particularly looking forward to it tho, just gotta do what you gotta do amr ~~

Mix Architects transforms old Chinese country house into library and teahouse
Located in Gaochun of Nanjing, China, a small fishing village called Jangshan commissioned Mix Architects to meet the basic needs of indigenous people for modern functions and cultural life. The renewal plan proposed by the studio consisted of two parts, namely the renovation of the vacant old homes and the construction of new rural public facilities like a library, a tea pavilion and public toilets. Mix Architects focused the renovation plan on the transformation of the old house. the design retained the external appearance of the rare old houses hoping to emphasize the importance of regional characteristics and cultural heritage. at the same time, disruptive functional replacement and spatial reconstruction of the interior of the building was implemented like a bookcase wrapping a patio and a glass tea pavilion facing the courtyard.
Gosh, there are so many places and dishes and things mentioned in the anniversary comic! Thank goodness Elena from the Ling Qi international group helped me with those or I would have no idea about the things Xi and Jinghua are talking about. Elena also made a super useful reference guide to all places and dishes mentioned - I can’t post the link here so I’ve added the link to the document with chapters!
As for the actual chapter - ah, guess the memory trip got cut short, pity. First Jinghua needs to get Xi out of the bombed city to a safe place, give him a kiss to recover (…though this time it might not be enough. Zhangxuan, where the hell are you when you are needed…) and then we can go back to Xi’s miserable and heartbreaking past.
