Mammon & MC being partners - the implication that they’ve been together longer than they’ve been with the crew and then the rest of the event actually showing that they arepartners;
Mammon finds a second map and shares it only with MC/is willing to share the second treasure only with MC
They’re both willing to go behind the others’ backs and work together
How easily MC tosses him a sword and moves to protect him. How easily he accepts it and cheers them on but also says that being protected would cramp his style and that they need to let him get the next one. Do they have a count? Do they keep track of who protects who or how many enemies they take down? That last line strongly implies they have a tally
How he questions Solomon’s orders but instantly follows MC’s orders despite not knowing what’s wrong
They washed up together so they probably tried to stay together when the ship went down
Him being absolutely worried about MC and MC pretending to be injured just to worry him. The way he falls for it but almost instantly realises they’re just being a dick
The way he phrases it, it’s implied that MC frequently gets in trouble and makes him worry
Were they there when he lost his eye? Does tossing a sword to him and moving to cover for him come so easily to them because they’ve learnt to help cover his blind side?
I’m frothing at the mouth. I need to know more about them
God this event is so good - it has so much room for expansion. From Satan’s father to how Lucifer gathered the crew to all their adventures and how they got a big bounty on their heads to Diavolo’s town and their new crew dynamic to just the idea of pirates navigating a magical world full of monsters (Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas vibes anyone?) You could make six seasons & a movie purely from this event and I’m all for it
Hybrids and magic orbs and all that. But the brothers + MC all seem to be human.
They’re also not related like usual and are just a crew that Lucifer picked up.
So being human and not related chances are they’re over a wide range of ages closer to what their personalities are like.
Since they’re human, their ages would be counted like normal people so Satan would be the youngest,
Aka Lucifer being closer to his 40s & Satan being closer to 18 (or something to that effect)
So imagine when Satan says this:
Lucifer is still his father. But he doesn’t know and Lucifer probably knows but he’s too emotionally constipated to say it but it’s partially why he got Satan on to his crew

No but seriously. Imagine how pissed he’d be! There’s so much potential here.
Why’d Lucifer leave? What’s the treasure? How pissed Satan would be to find out the father he seems to respect so much is Lucifer? Imposter Syndrome as he questions the reasons behind Lucifer letting him join the crew? Bitterness when he realises Lucifer had known all along?
Add to that the magic & fantasy elements and the implication that MC & Mammon were together prior to joining the crew and are willing to go behind the backs of the others to find their own treasure
The event is still meh and I’m not super happy about the amount of Mammon bullying in season 4 so far, but I was lucky enough to get his UR in my nightmare pulls -
I was able to use my saved DV on the revival Nightmare which was my only other missing Mammon outfit, so now I have both (۶ ᐛ )۶

I’m stuck in box 1 at 140+ pulls (ie 70,000+ points) and don’t even have all the SRs let alone the means to get to box 2. I was only hopeful of getting the Mammon icon in box one, Mammon background in box 2, and then the same in set B plus his SR but…
Even just wanting a particular icon and background is potentially impossible with the bad odds that these boxes have.
I’m not even aiming for a UR, I don’t even want SSRs, just an SR, a chibi icon, and background. That shouldn’t require hundreds of thousands of points.
For those who do want the SSRs or URs, the requirements are ridiculous :/

It’s really hard to keep up enthusiasm for the game tbh, I didn’t even play the new lesson until a little while ago, but I’m glad I did at least get the Mammon UR card, and last year’s too.
It’s just a shame its so luck dependent. I saw someone replying to OM on twitter saying they had 160 pulls in the event Nightmare, and only had the Asmo you get given at 100 pulls.

PS I’ve not noticed the URs being worth anymore in the event today than they were yesterday - I know some folks are reporting otherwise. Any duplicate URs add a few more points but not many, but I haven’t seen any jump in points sadly!
Firstly, unless Solmare change their mind, the new mechanic introduced in the current event is intended to be permanent.
This is how events will function from this time forward, from the Celestial loot boxes to the lack of SSRs in the event Nightmare.
My guide for the new events is one step long and very simple:

Events in the new system no longer have rewards. Instead they have prizes available via loot boxes, a type of gambling.
Loot boxes are required in most legal systems to list their odds of each item - even if those odds are equal. Solmare has not done this and risks the game being pulled from international app stores as a result.
If the odds are indeed flat, your chances of getting the first character SSR (Simeon) is 1 in 250, as each box has 250 items. You have to get that card twice in order to open the next box.
To get the SSR costs up to 125,000 points.
Versus the old system, 100,000 for the SSR.
To get the demon UR costs 500,000 points.
Versus the old system, 285,000 for the UR.

The number of battles remains the same - 83 per day if the extra battles via adverts are available.
The base reward per battle is 120 points.
The base daily total is 9960.
The base event total is 119,520.
ie, not enough for the SSR.
(This is a keyed event so the base event total will be lower than this in fact.)

The event Nightmare contains no SSR or SR cheat cards, only URs.
The odds of pulling an event UR do not change regardless of increasing or decreasing the number of URs.
The odds remain at 0.5%, ie an average of 1 UR for every 200 pulls.
This means your chances of having a higher battle total due to cheat cards is far lower than in previous events.
The only way to get higher odds is to use a UR voucher. You can try and win one for just 625,000 points ಠ_ಠ

The loot boxes contain more prizes in terms of backgrounds, icons, and random items, as well as AP, DP and DV.
However, your chances of getting any of these is far small (1 in 250 per box), rendering most of the prizes useless, and opening the next box dependent on you earning up to 250 openings of the previous box.

By the way, the Charge Missions this time around are also more expensive - anything from $200-400 depending on your currency - and no longer count level up sales or spending DP towards the totals.
Only purchased DP counts.

Obey Me has gone from a game that included one element of gambling via gacha, to a game that is solely reliant on gambling.

Gambling without odds listed is horrifically irresponsible.
Gambling games are NOT SUITABLE for minors.
People with adhd, anxiety, depression, and so forth are all at higher risk of falling prey to spending spirals and gambling addiction.
Please do not waste your money

I forgot to include this earlier but -
If(!) Solmare don’t rescind their decision to have this as a permanent new mechanic, I’m expecting it to be implented the same way keys were at first.
ie every second event will have the new mechanic
(but possibly every Nightmare will only have URs, I’m not sure). And then slowly, it will become every event, as if every other event weren’t bad enough.
And all of the above very much applies.
This means that if the next event after this double anniversary one doesn’t have the new mechanic, that unfortunately does not mean it has been revoked ¬_¬
If Solmare announce that this won’t be the mechanic going forward, that will be the win for players as it means they changed their mind due to backlash, cancelled VIP memberships, and lack of participation.

I don’t want to make a full guide for the new Obey Me event system until an event actually launches so I can be 100% sure of info.
However, the tl;dr is that event rewards will now be gambled for rather than earned outright.
Overall it will require either great luck or irl money to earn enough to win the same level of prizes as we used to earn.
For the current event, the only cheat cards are URs with means the chances of getting cheat cards is much LOWER than in other events.
That means getting higher points in the event will be HARDER.
And that again, you are not guaranteed to get the event rewards you want, nor as many as you previously used to get.
Pop quizzes are now gambling based.
The current Nightmare has fewer cheat card points.
The charge missions this time around cost even more irl money than ever before.
The new system benefits those who spend a lot of real money on the game, and also greatly encourages gambling by making both sides of events gambling based with fewer prizes to be won.

IF(?) these events are added to Lonely Devil after 6 months, you will be able to complete them but to reset the boxes to earn all prizes will require the equivalent of reaching page 4 of rewards previously, and will take far longer to earn rewards due to the gambling mechanic.
I strongly advise people not to spend irl money on something they can get later, even if it ends up being much later (event after 6 months, then likely several weeks of playing to earn prizes).

Also please remember that just like last year, while this is billed as an anniversary event to celebrate with fans, the game is using this as cover to increase how much things cost, price out ftp players, encourage people to gamble beyond their means, and above all to give them money.
This is how many games companies work, while fandom focuses on free content and making art and stories with the characters we love.
If you are tempted to spend money on OM, consider commissioning some art instead - it will mean more, and you’ll get much more for your money
