Tug-o-War {Leviathan x Reader/MC}

A/N: Just something I thought would be fun. I can definitely see Levi being the kind of asshole to pull on the string just to get more room for himself asdklfh plus, I’m a big sucker for soulmate aus :sob:

{Leviathan x Reader/MC}

Leviathan didn’t enjoy socializing.

He actively avoided leaving his room, and didn’t waste his time with trying to get close to the “normies” who surrounded him in the universe. He was alone and didn’t mind it so long as he had his passions to keep him company—and Henry. He liked Henry’s presence.

The tug on his finger was annoying, and at times he would find himself enraged by the fact it caused him such an inconvenience. Rhythm games were almost impossible to do and if he dared to knock over any of his figurines again, he just might call upon Lotan to punish him for his own crimes. Levi would trip over nothing, run into door frames, and worst of all, there were times this stupid string of his would pull so suddenly he’d fly out of his chair. It had him enraged, and he was ready for it to be gone. The taut string was infuriating and limited his movements far more than he liked, but no matter what he attempted to do to cut it some slack, it never seemed to work. Scissors would break under the sheer pressure he put them other, and magic simply backfired if he used it on the red line between him and whoever else.

He was told it was supposedly attached to his “soulmate”, or whatever. He was well aware of the trope—he’s seen enough anime to get the gist—but he didn’t care to find out who was on the other end. Sure, the idea of a soulmate was enticing; someone who was perfectly crafted to be your match while you were crafted the same way? The two of you meant to be together in some way, shape, or form, enriching each other’s lives and making each day worth living—he wasn’t interested. All he cared about was what surrounded him and made him happy in his present state.

Levi had gotten used to the limitation on his movements; he could reach the corner of his room if he stretched as far as possible and duck underneath his desk to plug something in so long as he stuck his other hand out from underneath it. Lately, however, he found it severely odd that he was able to move a bit more freely. He was able to do whatever he wanted; spin in his chair, go wherever he pleased (his idol meet-ups were the only places he died to go, however), and found that he could even pull on this annoying little string of his. He’d yank on the cord sincerely hard at all hours of the day, hoping to inflict some sweet revenge on whoever had caused him to struggle for so long. Every time he watched the string drop a bit more, indicating the person on the other end may have fallen on their face, he couldn’t help but let out a hearty laugh. Levi would admit it did make him feel a bit frightened to know it insinuated that the person on the other end could potentially be much closer to him than they were before.

No, he didn’t care about soulmates. His soulmate was the very love he had for his anime, his games, his idols—for Ruri-chan! Levi couldn’t care less about the person on the other end. They were probably some normie anyway, and he had no time for that. Late at night, however, while he looked at his reflection in the loading screen, he wondered just what they might have been like. It didn’t mean he would seek them out, just… curious. Months had passed; he no longer paid attention to how the string seemed to neither pull at him nor wiggle about.

Dammit, he needed his money back from Mammon. Luckily, he could hear his older brother’s annoying voice ring out from downstairs so he reluctantly made a move to meet him there, moaning and groaning about how disgusting he thought Mammon’s greedy actions were. Orange eyes were trained on his feet as he walked, his thoughts wandering between the idea of forcing the money he needed right then out of his brother, or demanding everything that was owed to him. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the stupid string around his finger once again and sighed, playing around with it a bit; what he realized made him stop in his tracks, however.

He could see the string. Well, he could always see the piece around his finger, and every so often a glimpse of a piece just a bit away from him—but never so much of it at one time. It didn’t give any sort of strain nor slack either. An overwhelming sense of panic took over his body, and he decided to give it a bit of a test; as he had done several times before, he grabbed a hold of the red cord and pulled it back, hard. Below him, he heard a loud thud as someone had fallen to the floor and Mammon call out to whoever it had been. Quickly, his heartbeat was the only thing he could hear pounding in his ears as each step he took towards the two bodies downstairs were so shaky he wondered if he could even do it without falling down.

The person on the other end was there? In the hallway? In his house? In Devildom? It was a fact he just couldn’t fathom. He didn’t care—he had been saying it for what felt like forever– but why did the pit of his stomach feel so jittery that it hurt? He felt like he was waiting in line at a handshake event with his favourite idol; his hands were shaking and sweaty and he couldn’t quit fidgeting. It was as though he could feel every cell in his body at once and they were all shouting to the point his body felt like old TV static. He didn’t care. He didn’t care, he didn’t care, he didn’t care. With each step closer to the mystery person, the louder the ringing in his ear seemed to get.

Levi couldn’t bring himself to lift his eyes for a moment when he heard Mammon call out to him; instead of looking towards the person with him, he trained his gaze onto the white-haired male and put all of his focus into blocking out his peripheral vision. As his brother spoke, his mind easily snapped back to the task at hand—chewing him out for his money back. He hounded him, threatening him as he normally did, only to be blown off as he attempted to inch his way down the hall; calling after him was useless, Mammon had taken off running, leaving Levi with the so-called “soulmate”. Their presence behind him was heavy, and he faced away from them as long as possible. Maybe they wouldn’t notice it was him? Maybe they wouldn’t realize and rather fear him, knowing he was a demon? Maybe they didn’t care—he sure didn’t. Not at all.

“Um, excuse me…” their voice was heavenly. Levi could feel his ears turn red and a shiver crawl painfully slow up his spine. “Leviathan… right? Your brothers mentioned you–”

Their voice wavered, the words dying in their throat. Were they nervous? He wasn’t. He wiped his hands on his pants before turning to look at their feet. Orange eyes dragged up their frame to meet theirs that looked like they gleamed like the stars were supposed to. He didn’t care.

“I’m MC,” they played with the perfect little bow wrapped around their finger. He watched them bite their lip ever so slightly and subconsciously mirrored their movements. He didn’t care.

He didn’t care. He wouldn’t care. They could be the most beautiful creature he’s ever seen, as though they fell from heaven alongside him, so terrifyingly perfect he couldn’t even wrap his head around it and he wouldn’t bat an eye. His throat was dry—he was gaming all night beforehand, that was why. It was hot in the house, that’s why his hands were sweaty; no, it was cold in there, that’s why he was shaking.

Deflecting their question, he put a bit of disgust behind his voice as he spoke to them, telling them to make a pact with Mammon. He didn’t care if they did, he just wanted his money. He didn’t care if they got close to his brother. Levi ignored the pain in his chest as he thought about it. He ignored the confused, and somewhat sad, look to their face as he kept talking.

He doesn’t care about meeting some stupid normie that would be his “soulmate”. He didn’t care at all. He just wanted to go back to his room and watch the new episode he’d been waiting for, maybe get some food since his stomach had been churning the entire time he stood there. He didn’t care, he didn’t care, he didn’t–

Why did his heart beat so loudly in his ears, then?

“Camera” with Leviathan

summary:[sent 11:39 am] MC, after the panel will you help take my photos?

from this prompt list

You and Leviathan have been preparing for this weekend, it was a smaller convention in its first few years of activity. It was also, in the human world. Not one of the Devildom convention centers that Leviathan was used to, doubling the nerves as well as the excitement jitters as the transport bus pulled from the parking lot to the actual convention hall.

Binging anime series, games, and translated mangas that hadn’t been “properly” released yet on somewhat worrying websites, had been replaced for the two weeks prior to this very outing. Instead, Leviathan would watch any convlog you found acceptable. From old ones from years back of when you first gained the interest to ones of this convention specifically. It was soothing to him, to know the similarities in how humans acted compared to demons and the basic lay out of the vendor’s hall to the makeshift arcade room.

As much as it was helpful, it was also enthralling, having trusted your judgement before his own was a wonderful and perhaps even pogdecision. He loved the different accents, the regional dialects and slang, the reaction of seeing someone’s hero, the voice actors in character to cosplayer, the memes that the human fanbase had picked up instead, and especially how many people actually dressed up rather than going casually.

Of course he was going to wear one of his comfort cosplays to his first human anime convention with you that was already law, written in stone really. Though it was, nevertheless, comforting.

The rest of the bus was filled with people similar to himself and you, yet entirely different from the archetype of the character to the franchise company as a whole but it was never close to full of hate or questionable quip’s at Leviathan’s attire. When he had actually gotten compliments other than your own before even stepping foot to the badge line.

It was something surprising to him especially when his pose had been so stiff, freshly available after having stretched his legs from the cramped condition of the car and how his charms had dug into his side from the seatbelt. Leviathan was already in his habitat despite the clear change from Devildom’s hellish humidity to the chill of the automobile insides.

His shoulders were loose, not as tense as normal, yet still huddled close to you like a lifeline.

Like a better comfort than his head pillow, craning his neck towards you to look at the schedule you had pulled up on your phone.

The day was becoming hazardous as most good con-days were. Trying not to stumble into people’s large wings, not getting caught by a loose dress layer to the escalator, having to send the quick and mistyped version of “where are you” after getting lost from going to different booths in the artist alley when you are across from each other, the change from cute heeled shoes to sneakers with memory foam insoles.

It was closing in on lunch when Leviathan’s “Oh My God! My Lover Looks So Cute When He’s Happy Enjoying What He Loves! In Character Q&A” Panel was about to begin, settling into the folding chairs set in neat rows not before clearing the forgotten water bottles left behind. There was about five minutes before the hour long panel would begin when Leviathan would flare up, blush hidden under concealer and setting powder but visible at his ears. Whipping out his phone in his ungloved hand and typing out a message haphazardly.

Clearly embarrassed when you leaned over, curious at recognizing your icon at the top of the bar, so flustered he had to backspace quite a bit to recover the text from the jumbled keysmash. And within the next minute it would have been unknown he was so shy, the message looking relatively chill. Maybe, even calm and collected.

Yet you had seen the nervous grip messing with his phone case, even the way he had folded his arms on his lap, making himself small as if someone had asked to share his seat.

[sent 11:39 am] MC, after the panel will you help take my photos?

Such a text that would lead you close to 1pm, being handed Leviathan’s phone in front of the park fountain near by. A shy smile held in return by the seriousness you gave to such an honoring role before swiping to his camera to bring focus to his first few poses. Lens and eyes behind it on him with the right amount of exposure, him becoming comfortable and confident to play his character more in your delightful company.

If Levi had a child be like

Child: Daddy, I drew you and mommy at school!

Levi: Hell yea, fanart!

The Older Brothers and MC after an argument

Lucifer

  • You both would be ignoring each other for the next days, depending how intense the fight was.
  • Usually, after a week or so, you guys would quietly seek each other’s company,
  • silently sitting in the same room, or “accidently” bumping into each other in the hallways.
  • Lucifer however, he would never admit that he wants to be around you. He’s way too filled with pride.
  • You on the other hand, you couldnt care less.
  • If you want to be near Lucifer you just go to him, even when you guys dont talk with each other.
  • And thats how you end up sitting on his desk, glaring daggers at him.
  • The demon infront of you tries to ignore you the best he can, but you are literally sitting on his paperwork.
  • He didnt tried to move you either, Lucifer just pulled the papers away from under your butt.
  • “So you’re going to ignore me all week huh?,” you finally spoke up, glaring at him even harder, if thats even possible.
  • Lucifer just kept a blank expression and glimpsed at the paper in his right hand, not making any attempt to talk to you.
  • “Listen here you little-”
  • In the end he finally gives in and apologizes to you, admitting he missed you.
  • He will definetly make up for the lack of physical contact.

Mammon

  • It doesn’t matter who started the argument, Mammon will always be the first to come to you.
  • He is far too attached to you.
  • If you made him angry, he ignores you for a day at most, but he quickly realizes how much he misses you.
  • He is quickly irritated when his brothers call him out on it and he can’t help but feel very jealous when he sees you with them.
  • So, he eventually barges into your room and finally crushes pulls you in his arms.
  • “Dumb human, keeping me waitin’ for ya”.
  • But if you should be the one angry with him, it is a bit different.
  • He roamed through your room once again and thought it would be a good idea to sell your jewelry.
  • It wasn’t the first time you’ve caught him at it, and your patience was running thin.
  • For a whole week he followed you around begging for forgiveness, but you ignored him.
  • Even at breakfast he wouldn’t leave you alone, and because you were sitting next to him you were out of luck.
  • Be ready to get poked in the sides-
  • When you finally entered your room without Mammon sticking to you, you noticed a jewelry box on your table.
  • Next to the box was a note that said “Forgive me”, and then realization hit you.
  • He had bought you everything new, even a few more things than you had missed.
  • “Please don’t ignore me anymore, I can’t stand it,” spoke a voice behind you, and when you turned around you saw Mammon looking at you sadly.
  • A blush spread over his cheeks as he closed his eyes. “I miss ya”.
  • Well now you’re the one running into his arms-
  • Lots of cuddling afterwards :).

Leviathan

  • As strange as it may sound, you guys almost never fight.
  • Leviathan and you always perfectly enjoyed each others presence, and your interests also seemed to mach. So no problems here, right?
  • Well, that changes when Levi’s envy comes in.
  • You always told him, he shouldnt summon Lotan when his emotions are going wild, but he wont listen.
  • And now you stand here, fully soaked in water and the whole staircase is ruined.
  • Leviathan sobbed and apologized to you, goddamn it was the third time it happened this month.
  • “I just got so angry seeing Mammon receiving that figurine I’ve always wanted without even caring about it! He just selled it off somewhere- Do you know how badly I wanted it?!”.
  • He hid his face behind the back of his hand and glared at the ground “And on top of that he never gave me back my-”
  • “Leviathan”you spoke lowly “By the time I count to three, you will be gone from my sight”.
  • And in that Moment he realised how he fucked up.
  • You locked yourself inside your room and calmed down a little, not wanting to hurt him with any mean insults.
  • Leviathan was in his room aswell, really sad about how angry he made you and down talking himself (the usual stuff).
  • In the end, you somehow ended up inside his room and apologized for being so harsh on him
  • He apologized as well and you guys ended up playing video games or watching anime,
  • as always.
  • If you’re lucky, you get to cuddle with Leviathan without him almost passing out.

Yo, am I supposed to already get the UR card on the first day?

Well, either way im not complaining .
