Most of all Dark Energon really did in the show was make Megatron significantly less reputable and also made the Nemesis suddenly alive somehow (could be missing context, was there history of a Decepticon equivalent for Omega Supreme?), rather than something something ‘we’re robots in disguise but megan fucking revived the ancient/6 year old corpses of cybertronian battlefields and we lost a few and we gotta make sure old allies and deceased enemies don’t raze a human city’- I mean, what the fuck happened with Skyquake’s arm? Did it bleed out and stop moving some time after running away?? Does it even bleed out and is Dark Energon ‘just like that’ and always controls a corpse??? Where in the heckery did it go!?
oh! oh! maybe reviving the dead has some world impacting consequences in altered loyalties- and not come up with convenient excuses a la shadow dimension, ‘prime and a medic reslaughter thousands of bots without missing stragglers’ or ‘sic and another medic fuck with dark AND synthetic energon: dead husband edition free fleshy growth dlc’
