Been doing a lot of gouache painting. It’s way more fun than I remember it being! That said I really don’t like how hard it is to control my values and saturation; but I’ll get there with practice! (I hope lol) I’ve also been really into drawing pigs lately for some reason? Thought I’d combine the two! :)

I understand that it may feel like the norm and thinking about killing yourself may be something that just feels like a routine and normal part of your thought patterns; but it’s something you should absolutely be wary of. Therapy and/or treatment can only help. It’s worth the shot.

Speeny Weeny: A robot suit combined with chibi characters. With chibi rules, should dogs get noses if humans don’t have them?
The mech has extending limbs and gigantic speeny-weeny shoulders, great for punching and flinging things. I saw the basic silhouette of the robot and pilot in a wall tile, and it escalated from there!

Whenever I decide to post something online, I make sure that it is perfect from top to bottom. This includes lighting, color, concept, anatomy and all the other great stuff. I’ve always been a firm believer in “quality over quantity”, which is one of the reasons why I only post my best drawings and skip over the ones that I deem unworthy of an upload. But sometimes, planets and stars don’t align in our favour and we get bad days. This was not a good day for me. From the beginning, I was dissatisfied with the proportions of the face and the fact that I had to erase the sketch layer multiple times. I decided to use a brush pen for inking ,which is notorious for being a tough tool to master, and ended up smudging the ink in multiple places. When it came to watercolors, I was so impatient that whenever I would try to add a new layer, I would end up lifting off the previous one with my soaked water-brush. What’s worse, I didn’t even have the proper lighting for decent pictures and almost gave up on posting this as a whole.
But then I realized that making mistakes and showing this to others is not a bad thing. Actually, it proves that you are not a robot and that, just like any other human being, you have ups and downs. I hope that this will encourage people to embrace their self-perceived failures as happy accidents and to learn from them. P.S: Sorry for the rant, I felt like it was necessary.
