THE LOVE WE LONG FOR: MOON ASPECTS ☾

*These are my PERSONAL opinions & interpretations. Do NOT repost on any other forms of social media under any circumstances.*

disclaimer: In this post, when I refer to the moon aspects, I do primarily have the mother in mind, but without a doubt, this applies to caregivers in our lives in general. Also I’m talking about how the energy CAN manifest NEGATIVELY so if it doesn’t apply to you, that’s perfectly fine.

There are numerous obstacles in life that might leave us hurt. But without a doubt, one of the most agonizing, complicated, and ancient wounds of all are the grievances we have toward our family. Our moon sign and its aspects can give us hints on how to effectively self-soothe and care for our emotional health. However, before we can ever learn to soothe ourselves, we learn by example and from the individuals who from birth were expected to bandage our scraped knees, tuck us in at night, and be our protectors. We learn and internalize our sense of self worth from those meant to listen to our fears and concerns and consistently make space for us. Not just TELL us that we matter but actively prove it.

Children require stability, and growing up without it leads to intense anxiety and emotional and mental wounds as the child realizes their guardian could turn on them at any minute. In the scariest moments of their young lives, the person the child looks up to would be nowhere to be found. And although many of us were incapable of defending ourselves from various forms of turmoil or mistreatment as children, as adults, we have the option of using our moon sign and its aspects to transmute that energy into the love we so badly desired. And then give it to ourselves.

MOON-PLUTO ASPECTS

“Does she know that we bleed the same?
Don’t wanna cry but I break that way”

This is not a placement for the weak. The child may have believed that when their mother became angry, the entire world had to experience her rage. When the mother feels pain, everyone else must as well, and it’s as if a black hole is opening in the center of the room, dragging everyone down with her wrath. Your siblings may possess this placement if you do. The mother could have lacked empathy, been highly controlling, and be emotionally erratic. You never knew which side of her you would get, but you were always hypervigilant and tense, waiting for a reaction. A subliminal recognition that, if she were spiraling, she would be either intensely attached, blatantly hostile, or dismissive. This placement could make the child with the Moon-Pluto aspect feel that they were constantly required to walk on eggshells around their parent. The mother figure could have expected you to adjust to her erratic mood and temper swings, leaving you with no semblance of stability or privacy.

The superpower of having this placement is that if anyone can transform this energy, it’s you. As the child matures and fully assumes their power, they realize that they no longer need to have such a chaotic and intense attachment to it. They could forcefully yank their hand away in these moments their parent grabbed theirs to fall with them. And when you feel the urge to let go, that feeling in your gut, do so. It does not make you a bad son or daughter or child. Instead, it transforms you into a person who no longer desires to be repeatedly heartbroken. You realize that if your parents cannot provide you with consistency, you must set your boundaries and give this consistency to yourself as an adult. And this can be incredibly liberating for a Moon-Pluto individual. You realize you are no longer required to allow your intense emotions (moon) to overwhelm you (pluto) completely. Instead, you can release (pluto) these intense emotions (moon) and find safe places to evaluate and process them. Then, use this awareness to transform (Pluto) into the person you truly wish to be.

I know so many people with this placement that have been through the most traumatic shit I have ever heard. And they still can find it in their hearts to forgive others and give them the benefit of the doubt. However, there comes a time when they must relinquish their intense control over their emotions and responses. In addition, to immediately stop constantly attempting to comprehend or justify the reactions of others. You possess the inner authority to regenerate continually; why would you surrender this power for temporary security? When the moon-pluto individual refuses to engage in power struggles, their sense of security can become a permanent feature of their lives instead of a temporary one.

MOON-NEPTUNE ASPECTS

“But lately, her face seems
Slowly sinking, wasting”

If you have this placement, you may have had difficulty understanding your mother (or your guardians) as a child. Her image may have confused you, and she may have contradicted herself frequently. She may have been a compulsive liar who believed her delusions and rewrote reality in front of you. With this placement, you could have had a parent who abused drugs or alcohol. And therefore, you could have also used drugs or alcohol to cope. As a child, you may have felt that you were constantly pleading for help and support while no one looked in your direction. You may have felt as though you were extending your hand for her to come to your rescue, and she vanished. The mother could have been absent emotionally, physically, or both.

The most dangerous component of this aspect is being lied to or gaslit to the point where you can no longer discern what is real. You cannot determine whether or not your pain is legitimate. And it can be frightening for a young child. As a child, you may have retreated into your own spaces as a coping mechanism, read many books, or had a vivid imagination in an attempt to manage your daily life. When you expressed your needs, it may have seemed as though it was a competition to determine who has suffered the most, and the mother may have proclaimed how much worse of a victim she is and how much pain she is in, thereby overshadowing yours. The most heartbreaking element of the situation is that the child could have believed it. They could have believed that their suffering was invalid. That there was something fundamentally flawed about them. The child could have internalized they were just broken, and that’s why their mother never let them in.

However, we know that is not the case. Those with moon-Neptune in their hearts also know that their pain was not an illusion. On the contrary, it was terrible and deserving of attention; it was not intended to dissolve into the obscurity of the fog. As an adult, you may be susceptible to overstimulation. You can perceive the emotions of others and detect minor changes in people’s behavior. And you feel their emotions profoundly. Consequently, you may be concerned that creating boundaries would hurt the feelings of others or end in conflict or rejection. However, you can divert this energy and use your intuition to improve your life. Your thoughts, emotions, and gut feeling will reveal when you must establish limits. Consider, for instance, what limits you must impose to recharge your energy when you feel drained. Or, if you feel resentful, investigate whether your anger or frustration stems from your inability to establish limits or assert your needs. Individuals with placement should practice saying “no.” You are not required to over-explain yourself or provide others with justifications for your feelings. Your touch is healing to others. But now, place your hand to your own heart.

MOON-SATURN ASPECTS

“Maybe it was the way
That she used your full name
To ask you
If it might yet be the right time
And it never came”

With this placement, your mother or parent could have invalidated your feelings as a child. The parental figure may have been so intent on asserting their authority that they pushed you away when you needed reassurance or someone to wipe your tears. Your parents may have been rigorous, prideful, and incapable of admitting fault and apologizing to you. Even as a child, you could have been required to compartmentalize and manage your emotions in a manner that was far too complex for a child. You could have been ridiculed or yelled at when you cried, and if you attempted to express a concern, you were deemed overly emotional or sensitive.

You could have spent a great deal of time alone as a child because you knew your parents would never say the right thing. In instances where your world felt like it was crumbling, you would not be able to rely on them to remove the burden from your shoulders. Instead, they could have expected you to fulfill their demands; your parents treated you like a mini-adult, even venting inappropriately to you. For example, my friend has an opposition between the moon and Saturn, and as a child, her parents vented to her about their divorce and expressed animosity toward each other in her presence.

When articulating how you feel towards your caretakers, there may be a profound sense of shame. As though you are committing a grave sin by confessing these thoughts. But that is not the case. All emotions are neutral, including anger, sorrow, and happiness. They are merely feelings until we decide how to utilize them. If you have a moon-Saturn aspect, you may have also locked yourself in your room and sobbed into your pillow during these moments of shame. Or crying in the bathroom because there is no emotional feeling of safety, that you need at least a physical space to feel somewhat secure to decompress in.

This aspect’s most significant benefit is that it provides higher knowledge over time. Children and women (moon) in your life might appreciate you and look to you for guidance as you grow into a reliable person (Saturn). You channel that energy by granting yourself the grace and patience you were not provided with as a child and giving it to those in most need. Indeed, it is not a simple effort. Still, Saturn will ensure that you are rewarded in the end if you are prepared to be less restrictive with yourself and accept anything new, whether it pertains to your surroundings or your emotions. You can sustain long-term interpersonal relations by leaving your comfort zone and ending the cycle of negative self-talk and degradation in your head. Sharing your deepest feelings with people you truly trust can transform loneliness and sorrow into fulfillment. There is no right or wrong way to feel; thus, give your emotions a chance to run their course by honoring them. Remind yourself of how far you’ve come, reflect on what you’ve learned along the way, and accept that you deserve the freedom to scream, cry, vent, write, and speak. If you lock it all up inside, you won’t get the chance to decide what you do or don’t want to take on the journey.

Sappho asteroid was found in 1864 and named for the renowned Greek lesbian poet Sappho. .ೃ࿔

♡ In a birth chart, Sappho signifies a talent for the arts, particularly with words. The freedom to express one’s sexuality is a component of Sappho, as is the right to act sensually as one chooses. You are the type of artist whose poems would be treasured and whose works would be hung on walls. You may have a smart mind that can easily comprehend intricate patterns, processes, and challenges, so when you produce art, it may appear to have multiple layers or viewpoints. You may frequently experience an unusual sense of nostalgia for a past you never fully experienced but feels like it was yours. These individuals’ hearts will ache in a bittersweet way as they contemplate art or read beautiful poetry in silence. They are far more emotional than they let on. When you have a crush on a woman, you like keeping it to yourself and not telling anyone. Frida Kahlo had Sappho in the 10th house and she never directly stated her love for women but she still expressed it, especially with her relationship with french dancer Josephine Baker.

Sappho in Aquarius, in 11th house, aspects to Uranus or at 11°,23°:The collective inspires you. You want to write about your community and share your stories alongside theirs because of the kindness in people’s acts and hearts. Overall, you’re the type of person that loves individuals purely on the basis of their actions and words. For you, intelligence is a major turn-on.

Sappho in Pisces, aspects to Neptune, the 12th house or at 12°,24°:You may be attracted to extremely alluring women. Women who are emotionally sensitive, kind, and self-aware typically pique your interest as you strive to learn more about them and who they are. Similarly, your creative, caring, and spiritual personality could also attract women. There is a desire to create a profoundly spiritual type of love and to feel love on a deeper level. You could excel at writing or creating art about your fears and trauma because you have the ability to reveal all of its concealed layers. You may be endowed with the ability to think intuitively and respond with compassion. There are physical and personality characteristics about you that could be quite mesmerizing, leaving the other person with their hand outstretched, wanting you to stay in all those moments where you must go.

Sappho in aspect to chiron: You may be great at turning your wounds into art. For example, Frida Khalos’s art eerily reflects the horrific physical and psychological agony she faced over most of her lifetime. From a deforming childhood sickness and, later, a painful and debilitating incident that led to severe pain to the mental scars of a stormy marriage and a social upheaval, Kahlo tackles impossible situations and turns them into what are now recognized masterpieces and ultimately healing instruments. According to the American Medical Association’s Journal of Ethics, Kahlo’s work has been utilized by psychologists to encourage women to communicate about their experiences of physical and mental anguish, as in the circumstances of the interpersonal assault, infertility, and chronic disease. Therefore, with this placement, you can gain from understanding the universe and your wounds via your creativity. You might attract women to you because of this therapeutic touch, and you could function as a teacher when it comes to helping people reflect on their traumas.

Sappho in aspect to Lilith: You are inspired by untamable women because you could be one yourself. You admire their piercing eyes, alluring smiles, and beckoning finger. You may be attracted to irresistibly beautiful women who are unafraid to use their sexuality to obtain everything they desire in life and exact revenge on those who have tried to harm her. You may have seductive cat eyes, arched eyebrows, and a preference for revealing attire or clothing with a silky or luxurious texture. Women with these attributes may also attract your attention. You could benefit from writing poetry or creating art about the scorned women of our world. About feminine wrath and sexuality. It could be very empowering for you.

THE 22ND DEGREE ⚔️

In this post analyzing a birth chart, I mention the power of the 22nd degree; I state:

“The 22nd degree is sometimes referred to as the "kill or be killed” degree. And at just three years old, Mariska was fortunate to survive a car accident that ripped the entire roof off the car and killed all the adults inside. However, I do not believe we should fearmonger when it comes to this degree. This degree had unique value for Nikola Stojanovic, and while it is not in the lightest sense, it is still powerful. Mariska has had to overcome difficulty in many other aspects of her life, neither surrendering to it nor allowing it to beat her, slaying her anxieties and worries. Death is a concept that extends beyond the physical realm. Death is a transformation. And you may go through changes dozens of times over your lifetime. Only to return and re-invent yourself as something new. If you have a 22nd degree, you can continually reimagine who you are.“

Here is what the 22nd degree means through the houses:

1st house= early environment

2nd house= earning ability

3rd house= short journeys & communication

4th house=end of life

5th house= children

6th house=health

7th house=partnership

8th house= death

9th house=long trips

10th house= status

11th house=dreams & wishes

12th house= self undoing

Just to illustrate: Mariska has an Aqua Saturn at 22 degrees (Capricorn) in the 1st house. The 22nd degree in the 1st house rules our early environment. Undeniably, she has received a great deal of attention from the public ever since she was a young child. And her life was changed forever after her mother died right in front of her at just 3 years old. With this degree you could feel a sense of culmination, like a cycle could be coming to the end in respect to the sign and house energy. It could serve as a reminder of all that you have overcome.

do not plagiarize my writing.

Janduz published Les 360 degrés du Zodiaque in the early 1930s, an illustrated book based on Antonio Borelli’s interpretation of the Volasfera. The following are the website’s interpretations of the energy of the signs at the 22nd degree.

ARIES AT 22°

"A carefree man, seated on the corner of a table with a glass of wine in his hand, admires the colour of the wine through the sunlight, while at another table, his two friends seem to be plotting against him. Nearby, two groups of three snakes fight against each other.”

Refined, benevolent, and impressionable character. Because one lacks willpower, one often allows other people to take decisions. One does not have the heart to break up even though so-called friends prove to be harmful and covet one’s spouse or romantic partner, one’s wealth or one’s position at work. However, the snakes represent protective occult powers which are readily available, provided that one displays willpower and fortitude.

TAURUS AT 22°

“A king is seated on a throne in the company of his followers. A silhouette wrapped in a black veil stands behind him. In front of him, a man falls flat on his back.”

This degree describes a reversal of fortune at the pinnacle of the career. The fall is commensurate with the social status and indicates a risk of dishonour and all kinds of losses. One relies too blindly on one’s own strength and undertakes projects without having carefully assessed its assets and weaknesses. The danger of fall also applies to physical accidents, as well as moral and social matters.

GEMINI AT 22°

“A decrepit man stooping on a stick limps off a deserted road. Behind him, is an old, storm-stricken oak.”

Secretive, subtle, and courageous character. Life starts under the best aegis, but after having reached its heights, the career undergoes numerous ups and downs, and one discovers that the people one has helped, including the family members, behave with ingratitude. One must carefully distinguish between genuine friends and flatterers, if one is to prevent one’s life from ending in painful poverty and loneliness. Furthermore, one must never hesitate to fight injustices instead of limiting oneself to cowardly neutrality.

CANCER AT 22°

“A man sleeps in a field, in broad daylight, near another man who yawns and stretches himself, while two marauders steal their working tools.”

Carefree, neglectful, and lazy character. Nevertheless, owing to sheer good luck, brilliant success and happiness are achieved around mid-life. One must then put up every effort in order to make them last, because otherwise, one is most likely to end up in poverty and loneliness.

LEO AT 22°

“A star rises above a two-headed man standing by the shore of a lake.”

Benevolent, discreet, and fair character endowed with powerful intellectual capacities. One has broad knowledge covering a wide range of disciplines, particularly in human sciences. Any career in education and mentoring are favoured. Should the natal chart concur, one is some sort of prophet whose name is most likely to go down in history.

VIRGO AT 22°

“A beautiful ship in full sail glides through the sea.”

Adventurous, carefree, and humble character. One is always in quest for new experiences and new sensations full of romanticism and dangers. Because of one’s marriage, one may have to travel to foreign countries. Success can be achieved in the arts, in literature, or in the representation of one’s country abroad, especially if in the natal chart, several natal planets are posited in mutable signs. If Saturn is prominent, protections granted by powerful figures do not produce all the expected outcomes, and public recognition comes late. Furthermore, one is not the pushy type and prefers to have one’s talents revealed by others. According to Manilius, a poet and astrologer of the 1st century of the Christian era, this degree describes beauty, great eloquence, witty repartees, artistic gifts, and outstanding authors and teachers.

LIBRA AT 22°

“A mature man wearing a scholar’s gown and headgear works in his laboratory amid retorts, an earth globe and precision tools.”

Gentle, sincere, and wise character endowed with sharp intellectual capacities and a strong interest in science and the arts. Intellectual pursuits, particularly scientific research, are very favoured and lead to brilliant success and fame. If in the natal chart, the Midheaven is on this degree with the Sun or the Moon, this indicates that exceptional honors and high dignities can be expected, even though one is of humble origins.

SCORPIO AT 22°

“A man sows against the wind.”

Hard-working but stubborn character totally lacking good practical sense. One has too much self-confidence and believes that one knows better than anyone else. Despite repeated failures, one keeps on making the same mistakes and waste a lot of energy and efforts. One must seek advice from wise and experienced people.

SAGITTARIUS AT 22°

“A dagger with the hilt encrusted with precious stones pierces a heart caught in a wire screen.”

Selfish, jealous, and conceited character. One has difficulties in understanding that self-centredness harms relationships with friends or lovers, and that other people’s aspirations must be given due consideration. This degree indicates unhappiness in love. If the natal chart concurs, there is a danger caused by a heart condition or a violent accident.

CAPRICORN AT 22°

“As she pulls a man by the hand, a blindfolded woman knocks down the table on which their romantic dinner is served.”

Impulsive, sensual, and weak character. One uses one’s intellectual and financial resources with the sole objective to fulfil one’s passions and whims. So-called friends take advantage of one’s carelessness and disappear as soon as money becomes scarce. In few cases, this degree describes a fatality which wreaks havoc in the home, and a possible suicide.

AQUARIUS AT 22°

“A team of dogs pulls a carriage loaded with bottles of milk. By the river, a family of beavers build a dam.”

Hard-working, careful, and discerning character. Teamwork is more profitable than solitary work, and mutual aid is a major asset. Despite many rivalries, success can be achieved in all occupations in the wood and construction industry, or in architecture. This degree warns against floods and fire. Before building anything, the nature of the soil must be carefully assessed by professionals.

PISCES AT 22°

“In a luxurious house, a young man stares at two daggers lain in a cross shape on the table.”

Obsessive, unbalanced, and aggressive character revelling in provocations, plots, and conflicts. Wealth and great honours are often followed by fall from grace. This is caused by bad luck, rashness, or a nervous breakdown. No external help is to be expected since one has no friends. One must beware of burns and injuries made by bladed weapons. If in the natal chart, Jupiter is stronger than Mars, the danger is significantly offset. Nevertheless, one must remain cautious and avoid risky situations such as hunting or all occupations involving handling firearms and cutting devices. If natal Mercury is on this degree, one is blessed with an excellent memory.

*I feel like these interpretations are very fascinating and can add a whole new layer as to how you view this placement/energy and any other degrees you wanna check out.*

MARISKA HARGITAY’S BIRTH CHART

*looking at this iconic queen’s birth chart because I feel like it. do not plagiarize my writing or repost on any other forms of social media under any circumstances.*

Mariska is an Aquarius Sun, Taurus Moon, and Capricorn Rising. As I’ve indicated in previous posts, Liz Greene emphasizes the significance of cultivating your rising traits in order to live your life in the most authentic manner (sun). Mariska has had to embrace ambitious, respectful, and disciplined energy (Capricorn) in order to effectively embody her Aquarius sun attributes, such as being an innovator, rebel, and humanitarian. Since she has been acting for decades, the public can witness this energy at work.

Her role as detective Olivia Benson inspired her to start the Joyful Heart Foundation, which provides assistance to sexually abused women. This is a fantastic example of how Saturn rewards effort in such diverse ways when viewed from the perspective of Aquarius vs Capricorn. In this instance, her hard work and dedication earned her financial reward and also national praise and awards (Capricorn), but it also enabled her to connect, inspire, and mobilize the collective as she tries to relieve the suffering and maintain the dignity of those in need (aqua). I’m sure both aspects/sides of these rewards are emotionally fulfilling.

Since she is a Capricorn Rising, her chart ruler is her Aquarius Saturn at 22 degrees (Capricorn) in the 1st house. Since her chart ruler is in the first house, her actions and manifestations are oriented around herself, her perceptions of her identity, and how she views the world. The 22nd degree in the 1st house rules our early environment. Undeniably, she has received a great deal of attention from the public ever since she was a young child. Her early experiences have, if anything, shaped her into the person she is today. As cliché as it may sound, her chart ruler in the first house indicates that her mission in this life was to just be herself and be able to respond to the stimuli and responses of others around her.

Aqua at 22 degrees in Janduz’s interpretation of the 360 symbolic degrees symbolizes “A diligent, attentive, and observant personality. Teamwork is more beneficial than individual effort, and mutual assistance is a significant advantage.” The 22nd degree is sometimes referred to as the “kill or be killed” degree. And at just 3 years old, Mariska was fortunate to survive a car accident that ripped the entire roof off the car and killed all the adults inside. However, I do not believe we should fear-monger when it comes to this degree. This degree had unique value for Nikola Stojanovic, and while it is not in the lightest sense, it is still powerful. Mariska has had to overcome difficulty in many other aspects of her life, neither surrendering to it or allowing it to beat her, slaying her anxieties and worries. Death is a concept that extends beyond the physical realm. Death is a transformation. And you may go through transformations dozens of times over your lifetime. Only to return and re-invent yourself as something new. If you have the 22nd degree then you have the ability to continually reimagine who you are.

Our moon sign indicates how we self-soothe or how we require our comforts to be addressed. It can also represent the emotional energy we must exude in order to feel secure and stable enough to be productive. Mariska has a Taurus Moon at 20 degrees (a Scorpio degree) in the 4th house. Taurus moons require a great deal of sensory stimulation. They value consistency and might be creatures of habit when it comes to the things that make them happy or comfortable, whether it’s a favorite blanket or food. Her moon in the 4th house emphasizes the importance of having a sanctuary, and she may treasure her privacy in the way she has designed and set up her home and room. Beyond these sensory sensations and indulgences of the Taurus Moon, the Scorpio degree adds extra intensity and a demand for solitude to the equation. Her self-care would necessitate a secure environment to process and release these intense emotions. Additionally, it must be done in a manner that respects her privacy and tranquility.

However, when it comes to intense Plutonian and Martian energy, Mariska is no stranger to dealing with that. Like I stated, Mariska’s mother, Jayne Mansfield, an American actress, was in a car accident that instantly killed her, her boyfriend, and the driver. Mariska also has a Jupiter in Aries in the 3rd house. Asleep in the back of the vehicle, Mariska, then three-and-a-half years old, was left with a zigzag scar (Aries) on one side of her head. Her brothers (3h) also escaped (Jupiter) with minor injuries. It was a miracle they made it out alive. They got lucky. In addition, Mariska’s Taurus moon (the mother) is trine her Virgo Pluto (transformation) in the 8th house (death). She has a 4h moon opposite a 10h Neptune placement. And she’s stated that it always bothered and confused (Neptune) her growing up how she’s always been compared to her mom (moon), especially in regards to her career (10h). I bet that at one point in time, this had left Mariska incredibly confused about her identity, roots, and values (4h) and how exactly she was supposed to present herself (10h Neptune).

But anyway, back to her pluto energy! In an interview, Mariska stated, “I think I learned about crisis very young, and I learned very young that shit happens, and there are no guarantees, and we keep going. And that then we transform it. That’s my superpower.” WHEW. She literally said she transforms it in true Plutonian nature. And without a doubt, she meant every word. She has Uranus-Pluto conjunction in the 8th house, so all her life, she’s has to deal with very sudden and unexpected situations (Uranus) that have entirely flipped her life upside down and acted as catalysts for intense transformation (pluto), especially in regards to the way she merges with others and views the darker aspects of the human psyche. Mariska also has a Scorpio MC, pluto opposite Chiron, pluto trine ascendant, pluto sextile north node, mercury trine pluto, and venus opposite pluto.

I feel this is also why she was such an incredible actress on Law and Order. Every episode consists of violent and horrific crimes for which the audience must accept that victims do not always receive the justice they deserve. And where one must admit that there are horrible, brutal, and cruel people in the world who have no regard for human life. Mariska was nonetheless… (I don’t want to say “strong enough” since I’m not too fond of the statement that those with Pluto placements can endure pain without feeling it, which is not true). She was, however, familiar with this sensation of loss, complex emotions, and critical analysis. It had been something she has had to grapple with her whole life, so I bet that being Olivia Benson has been one of the most meaningful experiences of her life.

Mariska’s Cancer North Node also happens to be in the sixth house. With her Capricorn South Node in the twelfth house, she may have spent a previous life focusing on being an introvert, researching the subconscious and spirituality, and uncovering the innermost depths of her thoughts and fears. In this life, however, that energy is intended to be palpable and expressed in the physical and material realm (6h). But in the ways that most emotionally fulfill her the most (cancer). This energy is reflected in how she serves others (6h), particularly those linked with feminine energy, such as women and children (cancer). And how she has supported the most vulnerable (cancer) members of our society, both on and off-screen, as part of her job (6h). But, again, the south node energy doesn’t just vanish. So her perceptive (12h) and disciplined and determined energy (Capricorn) undoubtedly contributed to her nurturing the types of experiences that she needed to cultivate to work with her karma and learn the lessons that were meant for her this lifetime (that south node-north node axis).

These were just some of the aspects and placements that stood out to me as I looked at her chart. I could go on and on regarding many other placements she has, but I’ll stop here. She’s a super badass lady. I think she’s great.

Mercury Observations: Our Anxieties & Getting Through the Day.

*DO NOT plagiarize my writing or repost on other forms of social media under any circumstances.*

*these are my PERSONAL opinions, ideas & interpretations on how these anxieties could manifest on a surface level. Keep in mind, other aspects, are also factors.* ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ

Mercury is the messenger of the gods and is the natural ruler of the nervous system;therefore, its location in a person’s chart is a crucial predictor of their nervous system’s health, resilience, and stress tolerance. This also explains why many mercury-dom individuals are often anxious and prone to shaking. Mercury also rules the third house, symbolizing the conscious mind, perception, thinking patterns, relationships, communication, neighborhoods, and family. In contrast to the 12th house, which may reveal our unconscious fears, wherever Mercury is in our charts (or Mercury’s signs such as Gemini and Virgo energies) can reveal anxiety and mild fear that is much more prevalent in our everyday lives. ⋆⁺₊ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ⋆⁺₊ ⋆⁺₊⋆

Gemini in the natal chart might represent areas where we tend to over-explain and share excessive amounts of information. It may also reveal parts of our lives where there is frequently so much gossip or where it feels impossible to escape someone’s opinions. Finally, it may also indicate where you might initiate gossip or drama or engage in it.Since it’s mercury ruled it can also show where you tend to be nervous, for ex: gemini in the 3h might feel anxious (gemini) when driving (3h).

For instance, with Gemini in the fourth house, you may discover that your family is frequently talking about you or they love to gossip in general. You could overshare many details regarding family drama or issues with others. Or Gemini in the eighth house, where people comment on your body, sex life, and even finances. You might be continuously questioned about these topics. With Gemini in the seventh house, you may find that people are always reaching out to you and being nosy about your romantic or business relationships. However, you might also overshare regarding your love life and relationships, so be mindful of who you vent to. Gemini in the second house might cause you to reveal too much about your finances, resources, and possessions. People may discuss your possessions (e.g., “Oh, see how she has this or look at his new car! ”),OR they may question your beliefs and what you stand for. Gemini in the sixth house may cause individuals in your everyday life to ask you intrusive questions or always appear to be scrutinizing your actions. WithGemini in the third house, your siblings may continually pry into your affairs (or you may gossip with them as well lmao), and your neighbors may be very nosy, peering through the blinds, criticizing you, etc.

On the other hand, Virgo could show where we are trying to keep things together. But we find that our need for perfectionism or even keeping up a specific image makes us feel even more frustrated or stressed. These problems could also lead to health issues or poor management of your routine/ care for your body due to that stress.

For example, Virgo in the 7th house and you could be very picky when it comes to picking your partners and be concerned with the image the relationship projects into the world. Virgo in the 10th housecould overthink when it comes to their reputation and career or even be cautious and concerned about the opinions that the figures of authority in their lives have of them. Virgo in the 1st housecould be very critical about their appearance and what people think of them off first impressions. Virgo in the 6th house could be particular in their routine, in general, and at work. They could also analyze or criticize almost every aspect of their physical body. Virgo in the 9th house could be very strict with themselves about their philosophies; the thought of their pre-existing beliefs being brought into question could make them panic. If in higher education, they could strive to be as organized as possible and have the best grades. Virgo in the 12th house, and you could constantly contemplate your fears, worry about every little thing you did throughout the day, or even berate yourself for your mistakes right before bed. Virgo in the 3rd houseand you could be very critical about the relationship you have with your siblings and family members, constantly wanting to keep up a well-liked, orderly and polite image in your neighborhood and within your loved ones and peers.

SinceMercury governs the central nervous system, its placement may suggest where we require specific reassurance or tend to be more readily overwhelmed by these concerns than in other areas of our lives.

For instance, Mercury in the 12th house, and you could find yourself lying awake at night thinking about your fears. There could be a sensation of feeling voiceless or like there is no point in speaking up for yourself since you feel like no one will listen to you anyway. So you would need a lot of reassurance that your fears and concerns are valid. And that your words are as well. Mercury in the 10th house, and you could care about what the authority figures in your life have to say, or you could worry about your reputation and career choices. So you would need reassurance that you don’t have to micromanage your image or constantly have to be ten steps ahead with your life choices. Mercury is in the 11th house, and you could get very nervous when it comes to the opinions of your community and friends and what they have to say about you and your goals. So you would need reassurance that you are free to be whoever you want to be without the need to ask for permission or live up to this image for others. Mercury in the 5th house, and you could feel anxious about nurturing your hobbies, inner child, and romantic interests. You could need reassurance that you are free to express yourself in the ways that seem most genuine to you, not to please others. Mercury in the 7th house, and you could feel like you have to be there to listen and consistently communicate in your relationships, both platonic and romantic. You would need reassurance that you can take time to set boundaries in your forms of communication so that you don’t have to feel like you’re hesitating or beating around the bush all the time. Mercury in the 9th house and you could become anxious when reflecting on your personal philosophies or beliefs, asking yourself am I truly standing up for whats right? You would need reassurance that no one is born knowing where they stand on certain topics or issues, especially societal and cultural ones. You create your own through series of mistakes, learning and unlearning.

You can use your mercury aspects, if any, whether they are harmonious or challenging, as ways to release that energy most beneficially to you; some examples:

Mercury-Sun aspects: When you live your life in the most authentic way possible (sun), you will find that you would need less reassurance from others and can communicate (mercury) in a much more direct, confident, and honest manner.

Mercury-Saturn aspects: When you find balance and try to be more stable, structured, and disciplined in your life (Saturn) without it becoming restrictive or limiting, you will find you get much less backlash from others, and you gain much more respect when you communicate (mercury). You can be truthful without being cruel, and in turn, people will seek your wisdom instead of resenting it.

Mercury-Venus aspects: The more you invest in your image, beauty, fortune, relationships, and pleasures (venus), the easier it will be to be diplomatic, charming, and relatable when speaking and relating (mercury) to others. You could benefit from writing poetry as well.

Mercury-Mars aspects:the more you learn how to be a powerful and assertive leader in a healthy manner (mars), the easier it will be to mobilize people or lead your peers with your words (mercury) and actions (mars) without being looked at as being overbearing (mars). you could be an amazing motivational speaker.

Mercury-Jupiter aspects: the more you begin to embrace your out-of-the-box ideas and visions (Jupiter), the easier it will be to communicate them and share them with others (mercury) as long as you reflect and make sure the energy remains insightful without becoming unrealistic.

Mercury-Moon aspects: The more you practice and reflect on becoming an emotionally intelligent individual, the easier it will be to comfort (moon) yourself and others without your words (mercury) being harsh or critical in the moments you are feeling overwhelmed. you could also be great at writing poetry, short stories and songs.

Mercury-Pluto aspects: The more you pride yourself on your deep and complex mind and nature (pluto) without demonizing it or behaving through an extreme perspective, the easier it will be to transform (Pluto) your views (mercury) and also the mindset of others without it being seen as threatening or dogmatic. Those with squares and oppositions should learn that there is also a time and place for their comments as not everyone will take your bluntness so lightly (I say this as someone with a mercury square pluto aspect, and my mouth has gotten me in trouble many times lmfaaaoooo).

Mercury-Uranus aspects: The more you channel your inventive (Uranus) and thrilling (Mercury) mental energy into more practical forms of expression, the more you will feel able to express your genuine self without feeling censored. Embrace the chaos without allowing it to overwhelm you.

Mercury-Neptune aspects: the more you accept that you see the world from different perspectives & hone your intuition and spirituality (Neptune) the easier it will be to enlighten others through your ideas and words (Mercury). The key here is to be able to nurture this imaginative energy without it spiraling into an illusion. another placement that can benefit from poetry or songwriting, practicing tarot and art that nurtures your spiritual side.

VENUS-SATURN ASPECTS: AGING LIKE FINE WINE

There are so many concepts that Venus-Saturn aspects can represent and how they can manifest themselves. For example, it can mean you are interested in someone older than you when it comes to romance. Or sometimes you can be the older person in the relationship. You could have an interest in vintage items or products of quality. There could be an exquisite and refined manner to your demeanor. The list goes on.

In their early years, though, Venus-Saturn placements can feel like the ugly duckling. I’m not suggesting they were unattractive, but they could have viewed themselves as such or felt uneasy about their features, even those with the harmonious aspects. There may have been a sense of awkwardness or restriction (Saturn) in their sense of style, appearance, or charm(Venus). Or a dread(Saturn)of Venus-related issues, such as flirting, dressing up, dating, romance, creativity, or even the presence monetary and financial difficulties. These fears could have led to isolation, whether the individual did it to themselves or felt that way in their relationships.

Those with Venus-Saturn aspects, however, age beautifully and gracefully over time. As these individuals get older, their skin may appear clear and wrinkle-free, and their bone structure may become more prominent. When you’re feeling down this placement can serve as as a reminder that life is not done showing you how much better it can get—even the squares and oppositions. Squares can suggest friction; however, it also dictates action. And oppositions represent a push or pull moment, it’s a challenging or “hard” aspect because the energies are at odds. It represents a sense of polarity. But once efforts are made to find more balance and redirect harsh aspects, Saturn will reward.

Therefore, those with Venus-Saturn aspects should refrain from speaking negatively about themselves or bringing themselves down. Saturn willalways reward effort, even if it is awkward or you don’t get the hang of things; the more you experience and explore in life regarding your relationships, appearance, and personal preferences, the more you will begin to comprehend how to fully step into your truth. Even if it’s just baby steps or you stumble a bit, experimenting is always worth a try. At first you could feel a paralyzing fear, but once you have reached maturity, you may attain outstanding professional achievement and recognition. You will continue to improve year after year.

If you have this placement you will notice that as you age, you stand taller, speak with greater certainty, and have better connections or fortune. In addition, you will begin to feel more confident in the way you dress and wear the clothes you could have felt too insecure to wear when you were younger.

With this aspect, consider how your tendency to restrict yourself (Saturn)impacts your relationships and appearance(Venus)by examining the sign and in what house the planets are located in.

For example, if you have a Venus-Saturn aspect with Venus in the 7th house and Saturn in the 3rd, then look at how you restrict(Saturn)your self-expression and how you communicate(3h) and how that directly affects your relationship with others (7h). For example, are you holding your tongue? Are you repeatedly self-sabotaging (Saturn)yourself in the forms you communicate and express your versatility (3h)?

Once you start nurturing those parts of yourself and committing to expressing the most genuine aspects of yourself, even if it’s awkward or not consistent at first, you will find that you improve when it comes to venus-related matters and your self-confidence as well.

How it feels when you have:

pluto-ascendant aspects, pluto in the 10th house, pluto in the 1st house, Scorpio rising, Scorpio moon, pluto- sun aspects, pluto-moon aspects, pluto-venus aspects, 8th house placements (especially moon, sun and Venus).

these individuals give off, “you can never kill me. I will never fall” energy. ⚔️

Attempts made against them to destroy or harm them ultimately fail. It will simply replenish them over time. They are ultimately compensated for their pain. They have an overwhelming need to climb up to the top, whether they’re covered in sweat or their hearts ache from the journey. even after being shunned, defamed and slandered by the public they will not crumble. similar to the way a snake sheds its skin, they become new over and over again. and it’s glorious to watch them. To change, some people require a catalyst.. someone to guide them through it. But these individuals don’t need anything at all. Off willpower alone they transform.

Often times, they are not even aware of just how powerful they are believe it or not. They could stare at their peers in confusion, wondering, why are they looking at me like that? I had to get back up. I didn’t have a choice. And in many ways it can feel like they didn’t for them. They can’t remember a period when they didn’t experience some sort of upheaval in their lives.

There could have been weeks or even years where they lived in survival mode. After spending so much time in the shadows, they don’t even understand how dazzling and beautiful they are until they emerge from them. When they walk into their full power and not only recognize it but also comprehend how to utilize it in the healthiest and most successful manner, get out of their way. Or you will be brought to your knees by their success.

Wherever Saturn is located in the natal chart, it might seem like an enormous weight on our shoulders, yet even if we wanted to get rid of it, it would somehow feel wrong. This is due to the weight, the pressure, and the expectations that have been imposed on us from an early age. Saturn is wise, but his hand is heavy, and it might seem as if we are collapsing under him when he clutches our faces forcefully and demands more. We may feel as if we are being held hostage, and at some point in our lives, whether early on or much later, we surrender. In spite of how much we try to fight back against the world and all the pain it has caused us, certain scars are ours to bear, no matter how much we scream, weep, or detest it. Saturn is the physical representation of the sense of commitment and duty culminating in the heavens when we all drew our first breaths. At first, it feels like the agony is raw in our hands, and there is no reason for us to endure. However, Saturn will emerge from the shadows to reveal to us how powerful we have been all along.

Saturn went retrograde on the 4th, and it will end on the 23rd of October. Saturn retrogrades once a year, spending roughly one-third of the year retrograde. These retrogrades typically last four and a half months. It’s nothing to be afraid of, but it’s also not something that should be taken lightly. Saturn retrograde periods are also excellent for revisiting pattern or structure and determining how something can be built to last the test of time.

Wherever Saturn is stationed, those are the themes on which we should reflect and focus. Saturn, for example, is currently retrograde in my 12th house. Our unconscious fears and trauma are ruled by the 12th house. Many memories have surfaced as I am prompted to reflect on the coping mechanisms I currently use. Saturn is asking, “Can you do more?” Are you making an honest effort? It’s more complicated than learning a lesson for being “bad” or being rewarded for being “good.” It’s about facing the facts and trying not to grimace or flee when the truth, no matter how annoying or frustrating, comes to the surface.

We sometimes try to cope by sugar coating, rewriting our reality, and dismissing current (and unhealthy) behavior. At the time it can feel easier. It can make you feel safer. But that comfort is merely temporary. Bad shit happens all the time. Life can be difficult. But the good news is that we are brave enough to recognize that. After all, we are all here right now, despite having endured incredible adversity in each of our complex and very individual lives. Respond to your fears by drawing logical conclusions. And also by giving yourself grace. The point isn’t to punish yourself. It’s to make things easier for yourself in the end. Sometimes the only way out is through.

Neptune: Fading into Obscurity

*do not plagiarize my writing or repost on other forms of social media under any circumstances. These are merely my personal opinions, notes and observations. *

I was reading the Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk, and this paragraph on losing your Body reminded me of Neptune:

“The lack of self-awareness in victims of chronic childhood trauma is sometimes so profound that they cannot recognize themselves in a mirror. Brain scans show that this is not the result of mere inattention: the structures of self-recognition may be knocked out along with structures related to self-experience.”

I am in no way equating or reducing childhood trauma to astrological placements. However, I was reminded of Neptune’s influence as a person interested in astrology. Like the other gas giants in our solar system, Neptune doesn’t have much of a solid surface to live on and has the most extreme and bizarre weather in the Solar System. It experiences massive storms with powerful winds. Its atmosphere features revolving patches of darkness and clouds that undergo rapid transformations.

It makes sense to consider how rapidly Neptune’s spiritual, creative, and imaginative energy can transform into an illusion, delusion, or lie. Neptune can generate a fog that obscures our view, leaving us vulnerable to manipulation. However, it can also reveal instances in which we deceive others and even ourselves. The mist can obstruct our view of other individuals and leave us unable to determine their true identities. But it can also envelop us, detaching us from our sense of self and leaving us with bodies that feel light, as if we can never rightly plant our feet on the ground.

As someone who is Neptune-dominant and did not have the best childhood, I had always thought that not recognizing yourself in the mirror was normal—feeling estranged from oneself because practically all of one’s time was spent molding yourself into the person your parents expected you to be. I’ve also seen that for somePisces risings or Neptune in the first house individuals, the mother or family may have viewed the birth of that child as someone who would heal a previous wound—already born into the world, hoping that your presence may alleviate suffering.

For example, I am a Pisces ascendant, and my brother passed away before my mother gave birth to me. Growing up, my family would tell me how fortunate I was to be able to alleviate some of that agony for my mother, but at times it felt more like a burden. My closest friend’s younger brother is also a Pisces rising; he is the rainbow baby, as his mother had a miscarriage before he was born. As the youngest and only boy, in the mothers eyes, he was a source of healing for the family and is her treasure. However, from the child’s point of view, a statement with that much weight and expectation can still be quite challenging to hear, even if they are said with the best intentions.

This expectation of filling an emotional void can also be applied to the other water-rising signs to a certain extent. For instance, Scorpio ascendants may have been born at a period when a family member passed away or when their mother underwent an intensive and drastic transformation. For example, my cousin gave birth to her child after her mother’s death and at a chaotic and perilous time; her baby is a Scorpio rising with Mars in the first house.  Scorpio ascendants may feel as though their mothers or parental figures attempted to feel more secure by dominating them, which is unfair to the child. On the other hand, Cancer ascendants may have been born during a period of profound emotional transformation in the mother. The authority figure may have anticipated the child to restore peace or security to the household in some manner. However, this may come at the expense of the child’s mental health and with unreasonable expectations.

But anyways, back to Neptune. In the book, the author emphasizes that you can only be fully in control of your body if you acknowledge its visceral reality in all of its dimensions. We must feel comfortable and secure with all of our potential feelings. But then, how can you be expected to look in the mirror and know who you are if you are not permitted to build your sense of self? If you never got the chance to process those emotions? They do not just go away. When Neptune is involved, they dissolve into us, into areas of our life.Moon-Neptune,and they can merge into our relationships with our mothers or caretakers. Venus-Neptune,and we find that our perspectives of relationships can quickly become skewed, leaving us heartbroken. Mars-Neptuneand our anger could unravel us and leave us completely confused. When it comes to houses, Neptune in the 7th and we can become disillusioned by our relationships. Neptune in the 3rd house, and it feels like communication is always cut short, like a faulty signal, where you speak and others can’t seem to hear you. The energy can manifest in dozens of different ways.

Neptune can grant us the potential to produce the most hauntingly beautiful art from our sorrow. When we bring to life what has been lingering in our imagination, we prompt others to contemplate. If you have an aspect to the moon, you could be an extraordinary songwriter or poet. Aspect to Venus, and when you create art about love, it is magnificent; you might also be an excellent makeup artist. Mars in aspect to Neptune stimulates the vitality and drive of others, as well as your own.

Chaos can ensue, though, if we are not cautious and continue to dwell in our fantasy worlds without attempting to live and actively participate in the material and physical world. Our comfort zones can just as easily hold us hostage instead of provide us with safety. Especially when we try to dive in headfirst. This can lead to drug or alcohol abuse or even self-harm. Trapped in the fog, hoping for the best despite reality… denying reality.

Inthe Astrological Neptune and the Quest for Redemption, Liz Greene explores the complex nature of Neptune and states:

“Neptune can symbolize the highest and most exalted manifestations of love, grace and creative vision of which human beings are capable in those moments when the earth bound illusion of separateness is replaced by recognition of ultimate unity. Equally, Neptune can embody the most desperate and destructively devouring impulses of which human beings are capable, when they have not dealt with the fear of loneliness and death. Which is true? Probably both. Sadly, it is often those individuals with the greatest imaginative gifts who, at the same time that they desperately long to manifest their potential, sabotage with the left hand what they seek with the right.”

Anything that lets you keep going is the right thing, as long as it’s not damaging. You need to find the way that works for you.”

6th house placements, especially sun and moon: “You can’t go back to how things were. How you thought they were. All you really have is…now.”

9th house placements:“And then Jesus says, ‘Well, watch this’ - "Really? Well, watch this?” “What? that’s biblical language.”

12th house placements: “Looking for a thousand years is worth it, if in the end you find what you need.”

3h synastry, 4h synastry, 11h synastry:“it’s hard not to see. You’re the kind of pair that makes everyone around them feel as though they’re missing out on a private joke.”

8h and 12h synastry: “Maybe that is the price of loving someone: you lose your grasp of where they ended and you began.”

Capricorn placements: “Because I want you to know,” she says, “that there is life after survival.”

Aquarius Mars, Scorpio Mars, Capricorn Mars: “At fist he didn’t say anything more, and we had a little staring contest there in the darkness. but I liked staring at him, and I won.”

Mars-Uranus aspects, Jupiter-Mars aspects: “You said you were going for a walk!? What kind of walk takes six hours?“ "A long one?”

Cancer placements: “Usually I’m remarkably good natured. Try me on a day that doesn’t end in y.”

Moon-Saturn aspects, Venus-Saturn aspects, Sun-Saturn aspects: “You endure what is unbearable, and you bear it. That is all.”

-This was just for fun & just signs/ placements that came to mind from quotes in books by cassandra clare, scott westerfeld, tomi adeyemi, lynne reid banks, sarah j mass, stephen chbosky ,mackenzi Lee.✨

random astro observations part 8.

part 7.

12th house placements, especially moons and mercury, are the people that give really great advice and then someone is like “eh, yeah I’ll think about it” but then someone else repeats the EXACT same thing the 12th house person just said and the person is like “wooow! great advice!” stop fucking ignoring the 12th house placements when they speak also I’m gonna talk a lot about 12h placements again in this post.

Virgo placements, especially Virgo moons and Virgo Venus will get turned off by the most minor things and it’s always something very specific. They’ll be like “yeah i can’t go on a second date anymore I saw his buttcrack when he got out the car”

also my virgomoon bestie venting about a dude she’s talking to “idk the way he pronounces certain words grosses me out” I screamed

also the way in which mercurials (Gemini and Virgo placements) start vibrating once they drink coffee, you know like those toys where you turn the little key in the back and they start moving… like girl… be calm. Drink some water baby.

mercurialscould also be the type to have certain compulsions, running your hands through your hair, constantly shaking one leg or cracking your knuckles, twisting your fingers into your shirt, turning your ring over and over or touching your necklace, chewing or clicking a pen, tapping your fingers on the desk, biting your nails etc. Some could even smoke because they have an oral fixation (I could also apply this oral fixation to Taurusplacements as well)

Saturnians (saturn aspects, aqua placements, cap placements) also have this penchant for sitting very still lmfaoo they remind me of lions. My friend has Saturn in the first house, and she will sit very still with her back straight and when you’re talking to her she pays a lot of attention to you. Same with my Capricorn sun friends. I think they’re amazing at listening to you. And when they feel fully comfortable (which will take some time so be patient with them) they will open up as well. labeling saturnian placements as boring is wrong, like maybe they just don’t trust you idk.

Sagittarius placements, especially moons and risings, really get turned off when you’re not willing to go on their crazy adventures with them. After a while they’ll just stop asking you (which is understandable but then other times it’s like im sorry i don’t wanna skydive with you and land on top of a cliff and then jump naked into the sea for a swim).

earth moons get turned off by loud ass people. Earth moons are the people that in high school looked at the ones yelling & having loud convos at 7am in disgust lmfaooo. I think earth moons are also the people that politely tell their guests to go when its past 9pm haha

air moons can be very charismatic. these are the people that you’re with them and when you turn around they’re having the most interesting conversation with a stranger. Its only when they feel like it though bc when they’re not in the mood… they’re really not in the mood.

I’ve noticed that a lot of water moons have had to re-parent themselves in some ways & their parents or family used them to vent emotionally to them constantly. I bet its very draining. WATER MOONS GET BEHIND ME I will make eye contact with you across the room and notice when your social battery has died and you want alone time.

I think moon in the cadent houses can also get overwhelmed easily or just need breaks from people (moon in the 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th house). The cadent houses symbolize aspects of life that are characterized by human relationships and numerous transitional events. People with the moon in these houses may feel pressured to continually perform and therefore unable to change their minds on some issues pertaining to home life, values, roots, tradition, and coping. These individuals should be allowed to develop their own social identities. And if no one else is giving you this space, give it to yourself with grace.

fire moons get turned off by boring people. if you don’t have them feeling energized and excited to see u they’ll be like yeah imma head out. That’s why I think it’s so cute when fire moons date each other. I like watching the chaos and fun (from a distance)

water placements not speaking and instead staring at their crush until they notice them and form a telepathic and spiritual connection

fire placements bullying their crush to see if their crush isn’t boring and can handle them

earth placements consistent acts of service for their crush that they pretend is no big deal but hope their crush will acknowledge them

air placements debating with their crush so they can have a good time but also secretly analyze just how smart they are

who has experience dating someone who has their mars in your sister sign? My friend is a taurus mars dating a scorpio mars and she’s living her best life. I bet the energy can be very complimentary and challenging at the same time. it sounds like a good time So does that mean my leo mars has to find an aqua mars? I’m scared but also intrigued haha

4h, 8h and 12h synastry is mentioning something briefly or making a comment and much later it gets brought up as a problem or concern. And it can leave one person wondering, like “wow was it really that serious? It was just a small comment. I can’t believe they remembered that.” But with this synastry what you say to each other can have an intense and much deeper effect in comparison to other lighter synastry.

If you’re moving somewhere new you can check the synastry you have with the countries birth chart. Its interesting to see how that energy manifests, for example where I use to live the countries mercury was in my 6th house and the people were very social (mercury) in my daily life (6h), constantly greeting each other and chatting, whether at the market or neighbors. (you could find the birth chart of the country online. You could also do a relocation chart. I also made a post on astrocartography as well) ✈️

whereverMars is in the chart is where you need to stop bullshitting. You need to be assertive in those areas or it’s going to suck feeling unsatisfied at the end of the day bc you didn’t stand up for yourself. mars in the 6th house and you need to *kim k voice* get off your fucking ass and work. I’m kidding but with mars in the 6th house, don’t be afraid to be assertive in the work place, when setting goals with your body or working out, or just standing up for yourself throughout your daily routine, the day is YOURS so conquer it. Mars in the 7th house, and you need to be direct when you speak to people because when you’re not ppl are just gonna try to twist your words. Mars in the 1st house & sometimes ik it’s nice being humble and being the bigger person but don’t let people play with your accomplishments and image either. Mars in 8th house and assert your needs when it comes to sex and also the way in which you handle your finances. Mars in the 11th house *squints* do NOT LET people try to bully you, especially in group settings when they’re trying to show off so stand ur ground. Mars in the 12th house and do not allow people to project onto you and take their anger out on you, INTERRUPT THEIR ASS MID SENTENCE. You get the gist though.

whereverVenus is in our chart can also show where we are assertive but in a much more “diplomatic” way. This could be where we can silently take note until we have all the pieces together. It’s where we don’t reveal our hand. For example, Venus in the 7th house will watch for peoples reactions and word choice in their relationships. These are the people that can tell others to fuck off and still sound polite. Venus in the 8th house could see right through peoples bullshit and not let on a word but for sure the other person will FEEL it. Venus in the 1st house could be good at pretending like they’re a ditz in a way, like letting other people underestimate them only to then prove them wrong. Venus in the 4th house could make others feel at home, could make them feel comfortable enough to reveal their secrets. These are just examples/ thoughts.

duringAriesmercury transits & mercury-mars aspects in transit you should be very careful with driving. One my friends got in an horrible car accident during a transit where Mars (accidents) was conjunct her natal mercury (cars). she’s okay now though thank god. I’ve also got into an accident during a mercury-uranustransit in my chart but it was also during a mercury retrograde. If you have this in your natal chart, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t drive, just take more precaution, same with Pluto or Saturn in the 3rd house. Those with mars-Uranus should be careful when working with machinery, using knives etc, you can easily hurt yourself. I have a Mars-Uranus aspect and I use to work in a restaurant and the amount of times I was near close to chopping a finger off pls.

people with Gemini VenusandMercury-Venusaspects will write the most beautiful and poetic shit and be like oh that? I was just playing like Shut-up and publish the book please.

ppl with Venus in the 10th house could find that people love to take pictures of them or in events they tend to draw in attention, appearing in photos and not even knowing. They could also be very photogenic.

the planets you have in the 12th house can manifest its energy through your dreams. Neptune in the 12h and you could feel like you have dreams that predict the future or can send you warnings. You find hidden messages in your dream. Mars in the 12th house and if you internalize your anger throughout the day you could have violent dreams where you’re fighting and standing up for yourself. Uranus in the 12th house and as you’re falling asleep, you could suddenly have epiphanies. Moon in the 12th house and your emotions could be released at night, you could have dreams of confrontation with someone who hurt you emotionally. You could cry at night as well to release what you held in throughout the day. Sun in the 12th house and you think about how you want to present yourself at night, you lay awake and fall asleep dreaming of how you truly want to represent yourself in your daily life.

speaking of the sun in the 12th house I was reading a book called the 12th house by Karen Hanmaker-Zondag and I was blown away when she stated that someone with a sun in the 12th house could have had a father who was overshadowed or was talked badly about by the mother. In a sense that figure of authority isn’t quite clear in the household. It’s like hello? Whose the adult here? That made so much sense to me!!! I know someone with 12h cancer sun opposite his 6h cap moon and both the son and father are def intimidated more by the mother who puts her foot down.

^ with that logic, Saturn in the 12th house could represent a father figure as well that was talked down badly about the family or called a deadbeat or just been accused of being emotionally or physically absent. Moon in the 12th and your mother could have been talked about a lot. She could have been found intimidating and emotionally absent as well and could have clashed a lot with your father.

In the book, she also recommended that 12th house placements keep a dream journal, which sounds like good advice. She stated, “Insight into and understanding ones dreams can provide powerful support in everyday life. Also in any situation in which we are very relaxed and not under any stress -but receptive and free from the desire to do things- is a good opportunity for experiencing the power of the 12th house.”

I think if you want to do some shadow work and reflection, focusing on the angular houses is important as well (the 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th house). Looking at your Chiron, Pluto, moon and Saturn placement can also provide you with a lot of insight.

Chiron might make us feel as if we are looking into a broken mirror, where we cannot see what others see. And the separation can be distressing. For instance, with Chiron in the 1st house & no matter how many compliments you receive and how many times you say “thank you,” you feel like you don’t completely comprehend or realize the beauty or greatness they express about you. Chiron in the 9th house might make it feel futile to connect with your culture, religion, or spirituality, as if you will never know “the truth.” Chiron in the 6th house could make you feel confined in your daily routine, as if the universe is making your decisions for you, despite the fact that you have complete control. With Chiron in the 4th house, you may be urgently attempting to restore the relationships in your home and with your family, but you may feel as though nothing will ever change. Wherever Chiron resides, we must be willing to view things differently, even if we are initially skeptical, weary, hurt, or disheartened. Just try anyway, as there is nothing to lose when confronting our deepest pains. We can only learn something from it. Chiron reminds me of the quote, “Face what you’re most afraid of and you will be free.”

Also, I’ve made a post on Scorpio through the houses, how other people can sabotage us & what we should keep private. But without a doubt, looking at the 8th house, whereScorpio is in your chart and Pluto, can also provide insight into our fears. Plutonians(Scorpio placements, 8th house placements, pluto aspecting personal planets) can be very good at self-sabotaging. Speaking from my sun-pluto aspect, sometimes it feels like “well, you don’t have to ruin this for me because I will destroy it myself” energy, especially when I was younger.

cont: I try to note down ways in which I can redirect the energy by looking at the sign, the houses, etc. But sometimes, we just need to learn about what one thing means and start reflecting on it before learning how to cope more healthily. For example, 8th house in Libra, write down and reflect on your fears with partnerships and relationships and your image. Pluto in the 2nd house and what worries do you hold about your confidence, the way you assert yourself, and your relationship with your money. Do you feel like you have to be frugal? Or Scorpio in the 7th house, do you self-sabotage when it comes to your relationships? Scorpio, in the 3rd house, do you focus intensely on finding the more profound meaning in everyone’s words that you forget what’s right in front of you? Believe people when they show you who they are. Again, these are just examples of how it can manifest.

*these were all just random observations, ideas and opinions based on personal experiences. take them with a grain of salt as placements and aspects can manifest themselves in numerous ways.*

Astrocartography

Where Should I Live? ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾ ⋆⁺₊⋆ ☁︎

Depending on our natal chart, astrocartography is the study of how the positions of the planets affect the energies we feel in various places we live or visit. You may determine which line you reside on by searching up “astro.com astrocartography” and inserting your information (it’s easier to look at it on a laptop but your phone can work as well). When you click on the lines you can see what lines you live on or nearby and what they mean.

Here’s an example, with the lines and the explanation of living on the Neptune line:

On top of those explanations, there are numerous websites that also provide additional meanings to what each line and its corresponding planet and its energy will bring into your life. Other useful websites such as this one discuss what it’s like living on the ac, dc, mc, and ic line.

However, overall I found this response on Quora to be very straightforward and accurate on the planetary lines. The authors name is included in the screenshots as well. ✈️

Personal notes & opinions

You can use astrocartography to choose the ideal trip destinations. For example, do you want to feel beautiful? Enjoy the scenery? Then look where you have your Venus line! Or you are in search of where you can have the most success with your career, then look at where your MC, aka midheaven line, is. It’s easy once you sit down with it and is just fun to study.

However, learning about astrocartography also provided me with a sense of comfort when I understood that there are occasionally other forces at play that can impede our objectives or plans. I believe that we can always be the master of our fate, but without a doubt, our environment can make accomplishing our goals a bit more complicated or, at times, infinitely more accessible.

I used to live on my sun and descendant (DC) line before I ever heard about astrocartography. I felt entirely supported by my family, particularly my male family members, such as father figures (sun), felt very confident, and dressed up a lot (Leo energy, haha). I honestly did feel like the star of the show and incredibly energized. I got a lot of compliments and could feel and see peoples interest in me. The sun line, Venus line, and Jupiter line are often seen as advantageous lines on which to reside. Additionally, you can examine your chart to determine what is activated on these lines. Consider, for instance, the sign of your Venus, the house it resides in, and the aspects it forms if you intend to live on your Venus line. Another example, if you were to live on your Jupiter line, the aspects of Jupiter in your natal chart would be activated as well, so if you have squares and oppositions learn about that energy first.

After moving with my family to another country, it made so much sense when I found that I am living on my mars line. I realized the continual pushback I was getting. Without a doubt, the energy of Mars may provide vitality, drive, and ambition. But it can also bring hostility, car accidents, arguing, aggression, and unwanted male attention, among other adverse consequences. And it feels like my life has been on fast forward for the past year. There have been a lot of achievements but so much conflict as well. And it feels good to know that I can fucking do it, but every accomplishment feels like I have to fight tooth and nail. Aspects in regards to mars in my natal chart were also activated, for example with my natal Mars-Uranus aspect I have noticed that I have been a bit more impulsive (Uranus) with my energy, assertiveness and even anger (mars) in my current home.

I discussed this with a friend who was born and raised on her Chiron line. As the previous screenshot demonstrates, living on your Chiron line can also indicate emotional, bodily, and mental trauma, particularly throughout childhood. Living on her Chiron line has wounded her in numerous ways, but she is resilient as a Scorpio dominant individual and wise beyond her years. So that’s why if you’re living on your Mars, Saturn, Pluto, or Chiron line and if you’ve been there for years or grew up there, nobody can tell you shit, okay You’ve gone through the worst, and now you know where you can go to discover what the world has to offer! ✈️

I can’t wait to one day be able to travel more and see what it’s like being on my Venus line. I miss feeling like a queen on my Sun line. But, on the other hand, being on my Mars line teaches me how to be more resilient and work smarter and not harder.

note: It is not necessary to live EXACTLY on a line to experience its energy. When viewing the lines on astro.com, you have the ability to zoom into a specific place, and clicking the “show details” checkbox will display the “power lines.” These lines are close enough for you to still feel their influence. The website states, “Your point of contact need not necessarily be exactly along a line but can be experienced within 200 km. The closer you are to the line, the greater it's influence.”

What line are you currently living on or nearby?

the 4th house: the safety we need

“We are born with the bare bones of certain innate predispositions and expectations, but our experiences as children add layers upon layers of flesh to these.”

- Howard Sasportas

We can all agree that a firm foundation must be established before anything can be safe and secure in our lives. There must be a sense of consistency and assurance that what we are cultivating, be it relationships or habits, is rooted in emotional, spiritual, and mental wellbeing. And when it doesn’t, it’s easy to see how our structures can tremble and eventually fall apart over time. When we begin to reflect on our childhoods, our foundations typically become unsteady as we are unearthing memories and experiences that we subconsciously could have buried for years. Were you allowed to decipher your values? Did your parents make you feel safe? Were they consistent in their routines? Did they hold high expectations for you and expect you to behave in specific ways that they were not doing themselves?

The 4th house is the nadir, the lowest point in our chart. It represents our home, value, family, roots, upbringing, heritage, ancestry, and traditions. It’s our private life, and even when we try to explain just how chaotic or bad things were growing up to others, it can feel like others don’t fully understand because it’s hidden from their perception. The 4th house is, “well, honestly, you had to have been there to understand,” energy. It’s opposite the very visible house of our career and reputation. We can see that Moon-Saturn Axis come to life as you cannot have stable and prosperous structures (10h) without emotional wellness (4h).

Howard Sasportas states:

“The 4th house represents where we go when we settle back into ourselves- the inner center- where our ‘I’ returns to rest before launching into activity again. It is the base of operations from which we meet life. As opposed to our public side, the 4th house describes what we are like deep inside. Becoming conscious of the origins of our attitudes allows for the possibility of changing them. Delving into the 4th house, which shows the archetypes activated in the early home life between ourselves and the parent in question, can greatly aid this process.”

When you look at the sign and planets in the 4th house, you can see both the positive and negative ways in which energy in your upbringing could have manifested.

For example, Gemini in the 4th house, could have parents who valued education’s importance and encouraged the child to learn. Still, on the other hand, the child could have felt silenced, like they were not able to fully express their opinions or originality, especially if planets such as Saturn are in the 4th house. The parent could have valued the child’s education and wit, but never when used to critique their forms of parenting. Pisces in the 4th house and the parent could have tried to be welcoming and nurturing but in very unhealthy ways. The way they parented could have completely dissolved boundaries between the parent and child. This could have profoundly impacted the child’s psychological development as the child now feels responsible for the parent, knowing they cannot entirely rely on them. Aquarius in the 4th house and the child could have faced rejection from the parental figures, feeling like the only way to “keep the peace” would be to conform and be like everybody else in the family, suffering in silence. Leo in the 4th house and your parents could have been overly dramatic and self-centered, more focused on how others saw the family in an unreasonable manner. Virgo in the 4th house and your parents could have been overly critical and emotionally unavailable. They could have spent more time judging others instead of focusing on self reflection.Aries in the 4th houseand there could have been constant chaos in the family and with siblings, your emotional needs could have been met with impatience.

cont:Sagittarius in the 4th houseand the parental figures could have been shallow in response to the child’s emotional needs, leaving the child feeling like their caretakers are too flighty and inconsistent. Cancer in the 4th house and the child could have felt like there was never a right time to express their needs or feelings; the parental figures could have been very touchy, moody, or constantly nagging. Capricorn in the 4th house and the child could have always been expected to be polite, mature, and responsible, never given the room to scream, cry, or truly express themselves. Scorpio in the 4th house and the parent could have been controlling and vindictive, making the child feel like they have to keep a tight leash on their own emotions, as their parent’s emotions were already overwhelming them a lot. Taurus in the 4th house, and the child could have always felt roadblocked when communicating emotional needs with the parent or family. It could have been expected in the family to pretend things never happened or not speak of them. Libra in the 4th house, and the child could have felt like there was always this need to keep up this image within the family and pretend like everything is lovely, fair, and peaceful even through the most hectic moments.

It is never too late to find healing from harsh or neglectful childhood experiences. When you confront these events, you will find the freedom necessary to establish yourself in other areas of your life and commit to holding space for your emotional needs. When you examine your fourth house with a magnifying lens, you can determine how to redirect this energy. For example, Gemini Saturn in the 4th house and you could feel like your voice and self-expression (Gemini) were silenced (Saturn). So now you must allow yourself to express yourself in all aspects of your life; even if at first it feels awkward or you’re scared to say the “wrong thing,” say it anyway. Practice journaling, writing poetry and stories, and creating with your hands in general (Gemini) to boost your voice. And watch how over time (Saturn), you will feel more confident and at peace. Suppose you find yourself running into people committed to misunderstanding you, yet these are people who cannot name one thing regarding your passion and talents, and ideas. In that case, conversations with them do not truly matter, do they?

Howard Sasportas emphasizes that the 4th house suggests the conditions surrounding our second half of life and that “What is most deep within us comes out at the end. The 4th house, like our past, always catches up to us."

However, it is essential to recognize that the collapse of these structures should not be viewed as a defeat. It is okay when relationships or opportunities do not work out. Especially if, at the time, we were using coping methods that were no longer effective or healthy in our lives, and we didn’t know it yet. But afterward, we have the opportunity to apply our knowledge and improve things for next time. Being a healthy version of oneself is not synonymous with being a perfect version of oneself. This is impossible and ineffective. Healing means making room for all the previous versions of yourself and honoring them, accepting them, loving them and learning from them.

You can also look at your 4th house ruler to determine how you can establish these secure foundations that you might not have received in childhood. We always have the opportunity to reflect on our values and adjust boundaries.

For example, 4th house ruler in the 7th house? Then make sure you establish healthy relationships where the energy is reciprocated, and it’s not just you doing emotional and physical labor for others. Your relationships have to feel SATISFYING, and if they don’t, you shouldn’t force yourself to keep toxic people around out of guilt. 4th house ruler is in the 3rd house, and you need to make sure that the neighborhood you’re living in and the people in your vicinity are not emotionally draining you. You need to make space to express your needs and ideas throughout the day as the 3rd house rules our conscious mind. 4th house ruler in the 9th house, and you can rely on spiritual and religious practices as forms of comfort. And you can also feel more secure the more you grow when it comes to your education. Your knowledge can liberate you. It could also be helpful for you to travel. 4th house ruler in the 8th house, and you can’t be afraid when it comes to acknowledging the darkest aspects of you, the thoughts you are ashamed of, and the relationships you have with your body, finances, and sexuality. Are you willing to sacrifice yourself for everyone else? Will that genuinely make you happy in the end? 4th house ruler in the 10th house would do you good to have conversations with figures you admire and respect who can provide you with sound advice. And so on. You know best how specific energy manifests in your own life and what you truly desire.

Those ^ were some personal interpretations, but this site can provide you with more info about the 4th house ruler throughout all the houses.
