Power Couple Kim Bum and Kim Yongji from K-Drama, Tale of the Nine Tailed

Hello everyone,

What is your new years resolution?

Mine are:

Study Korean and achieve level 5 before moving to Korea in the summer

Passing 1st Year Korean Studies Course

Focusing on my tarot and oracle work. (Yes I am spiritual)

Have you ever wondered how to talk about new years resolution in Korean?

I will teach you.

New years resolution in Korean is called

새해 meaning a new year

결심 meaning a decision.

if you want to ask somebody what their resolution is you can say:

To a friend :

To older people: 새해결심이 뭐예요?

Reply:

Eng: My new years resolution is to quit drinking.

Hello everyone sorry for not posting in a long time.

See you soon~

- Taebin

Hello I know I haven’t posted in a long time but I thought now would be a great time to post this message.

I know this is quite a sensitive topic but I would appreciate if all my followers of this blog would spread this message.

Recently on the News there has been a lot of talk about a possible nuclear war that could happen in East Asia. Many people who will be travelling to South Korea,Studying in South Korea,Moving to South Korea, are scared of what might occour in the upcoming months and even years.

Since I have been studying Korean for so long and watching a lot of South Korean news I have seen a huge pattern over the past 8 years regarding North Korea and South Korea.

I and my other friends (who are in fact from South Korea) really think that western media and main stream media are over reacting to what is really happening.

If we look at the activity within South Korea today, we can still see that live is continuing as normal, and people living in South Korea, whether it be foreigners or actual citizens are still going to work, taking their kids to school, getting married to Koreans or other foreigners.

Why is this? because this has all happened before, in fact a lot of times already.

About 3 years ago North Korea issued a warning that all foreigners should evacuate South Korea because there would be a war. Did the war happen?…No

Did foreigners evacuate? No…well not that I know of.

Yes North Korea has fired a missile over Japan, but North Korea are not stupid.

North Korea know that if they go to war that South Korea, Japan, and the USA would beat them before the can even say 시발. (Sorry for my cussing).

If we look at the whole of East Asia all countries except China, and North Korea. (Russia is not apart of East Asia) are all democratic societies

The end of North Korea would mean that China would be the only communist country in the whole of East Asia and people may start demanding democracy within China. Of course China does not want this so they will continue to stop North Korea from going to war.

If the peninsula went to war that would means huge refugee problem for China.

China really do not want this at all, so therefore they would stop North Korea from even dropping a nuclear bomb over South Korea.

So please do not be worried about what you hear on the media. America and other western media have discussed the likely hood of war in East Asia for many many years so please do not pay attention.

If you want true facts go ask South Korean people, or watch South Korean Tv.

This is my own conclusion and my own thought, I wrote this to calm the minds of people who are planning to live in South Korea in the future, or wish to travel to Korea, or even thinking about studying in South Korea in the near future.

Thanks for reading.

Today we will be looking at the expression

The title is there as it says so let me put some more examples.

This note book is used for when I write down my class notes.

That is used for when cleaning bathrooms

Hello everyone I am back with a blog post. Sorry I was late just I was so busy studying and preparing for graduation in school.

This expression is used to express when out  of all the experiences you have had this is the most ~~

Example Sentences:

This is the most difficult question ever

.This has to be one of the most difficult questions i have ever had to solve.

This has to be one of the most delicious food I have ever tasted~

This is the most touching movie i have ever seen.

by adding verb then V 본 것  it is highlighting that you have done something before like this but this is something new.

문제를  풀다 -  To solve a question (on a test) /  책의 저자ㆍ내용ㆍ체재ㆍ출판 연월일 따위에 대해 대략적으로 설명하다.

김동적이다 -   arousing feelings of sympathy or gratitude / 크게 느끼어 마음이 움직이는 것 또는 그런 것.

Waking up in the morning can always be a pain, especially if you 잠을 설쳤어요. or all night your 눈이 떠졌어요.

It is especially annoying if the 햇빛이 들어와요 and because of this  눈이 부셔요.

Plus it doesn’t help that 알림을 울려요 with it’s annoying beeping sound telling you to get ready for your day.

So waking up getting out of your bed and walking to the bathroom while you are 하품해요, you are also 기지개를 켜요.

Just staring at how awful you look in the mirror while you are 눈을 비벼요

When your eyes are glued open.

When the sun is shining through something.

Use it to describe when something is bright and glowing.

When you are tired or bored you open your mouth and make the sound.

When you are tired or doing a work out you do this to warm up

When your eyes are itchy you do this action.

Your alarm does this to annoy you and wake you up.

I watched this maybe two weeks ago and I thought it was quite mediocre. Average at best. Frankly I don’t even remember why I thought it was mediocre exactly… That is to say, it was simply forgettable. I remember the character development being shallow and some of the twists requiring some big leaps in logic/forced suspension of disbelief. It could have been way better, the concept was not bad. Anyone who’s been in an office space at night when everyone’s gone will tell you it can get kind of creepy. Not knowing if you’re truly alone. Unfortunately this film didn’t capitalize on that at all. The main redeeming thing here is Go Ah Sung. I think she had a pretty good performance.

Anyways, I’d say you can safely pass on this one. It’s definitely not terrible but it’s not good either, especially when South Korean is pumping out so many other high quality thrillers.
