Redraw of the photo Stan had in his mind-room in the finale. I needed a very small version of this for another drawing but since I loved the photo so much I figured I should draw it properly.
I don’t remember seeing this photo in any other episode, so I think this is a memory-photo only? If that’s the case then I’m surprised that Waddles is so big in the foreground, since Stan always said he disliked Waddles. But he loves Mabel, so maybe he believes that wherever Mabel is Waddles must be as well, hence he couldn’t accept Mabel having to leave Waddles behind ;___;

So.
My time in the Gravity Falls fandom was magical, to me. Never have I been surrounded by such vibrant, clever, funny people, on the other side of my computer screen.
I remember skipping my partner and I’s anniversary, because the final Weirdmageddon episode ended up airing that day. (He understood.)
Tracking the scavenger hunt progress, awash with secondhand anxiety and excitement.
Donating ridiculous amounts of the money I made from my government job I had back then to LGBTQ+ support organizations, in return for asking Alex Hirsch and Dana Terrace to draw my weird little Fiddleford x Shapeshifter ship, twice.
Meeting Alex, who sent me on one last hunt to find the Axolotl, and who gave me the name of the dimension where Shapefiddler was canon.
I leave the Internet with my happy memories trailing out behind me.
BUT.
There’s two regrets I have. Things that I missed out on, or lost, that I would like to have in my life, if possible. If I don’t hear from anyone about these two things, no worries– I will head offline with an unburdened heart, knowing that these were just the two things that got away from me. Life is full of those, and I remain all flavors of grateful.
One is a copy of “Summer Memories,” an art zine hosted years and years ago by @gfzine . I happened to be in rehab and away from any Internet access the whole time preorders were being taken, and I wish I could’ve seen all the amazing art people were posting to Tumblr afterwards, collected in one print copy. I will pay ridiculous amounts of money for this zine. I’m serious when I say, name a price that strikes you as a reasonable amount for someone’s heart’s desire, and I will probably be able to pay it.
The other is an audio file– the “lost episode” of the Mystery Trio radio podcast, which I believe was started by @mtanimate , put on entirely by fans of the show. I was beyond honored when they reached out to me, offering me a copy of the file where they read one of my 18+ fanfics as Stan, Ford, and Fiddleford, which I was delighted by, because it was a very silly fic, and I welcomed someone making light of it. Alas, the phone that contained that sole copy of the file soon took an unexpected tumble through a washing machine, destroying everything on it. Try as I might, I can’t seem to track down the folks who sent it to me. So, I’m trying one last time.

I made this comic ages ago but it fit the theme so well that I just had to redraw it for week 4. I figured a redraw would be relatively quick and easy.
…It was not. T^T
This takes place during Stan’s recovery post-Weirdmageddon. After several days of working to get his memories back, Stan starts to remember his and Ford’s complicated history. Ford is obviously deeply apologetic and tries to reconcile, but he’s also fully prepared for Stan to hate him for what happened between the two of them. Lucky for him, this is Stanley we’re talking about. He was always gonna forgive him; all he ever wanted was his brother back.
The first time Ford found Stan curled up on his bed with the blanket pulled over his head they’d been six years old. Stan had gotten into the new books Ford had received for Christmas and accidentally spilled paint all over them. Ford was furious, and didn’t talk to Stan for three days. Then he’d walked into their room and found Stan in a ball sobbing his little eyes out.
Ford sat on the bed hesitantly, looking at the floor while his brother pretended that he didn’t know Ford was there. Eventually, Stan peeked over the blanket and Ford began to talk.
“I’m still mad.”
“– I didn’t – !”
“I’m still mad.” He reached out hesitantly then abandoned caution and threw his arms around his brother. “I really liked those books.” To his horror, tears started to roll down Ford’s cheeks. Hiccup’s caught his breath and it felt like he couldn’t breathe. “I can be mad!” Stan held him while he cried.
Overall synopsis (for anyone who is newly interested):
A Gravity Falls AU idea where, in 1982, Stan threw a rope to Ford as he was being pulled into the portal. He let go of his journal in favor of grabbing the rope and it was lost to Bill’s dimension. Stan had saved him and for that, he was grateful. They talked and forgave each other for the past and all seemed well for as much as a day. That was when Bill’s ruthless anger became apparent and he took full advantage of his deal with Ford. Thirty years later, the demon is still punishing them for their refusal to rebuild the portal.
Chapter Summary:
Mabel is desperate to finish preparations for her show. Dipper is desperate for answers. Bill is desperate to eliminate a leak in his plans. Stan and Ford are desperate to prevent the end of the world.
And here we have the last of the commissions I took in the fall, for brokenpitchpipe on Ko-Fi! They asked for lined half-figures of “an injured Stan bro and a worried Stan bro (u pick which is which)”.
I am a sucker for Ford being worried / protective towards Stan, so there we go!
(The second piece is sort of a bonus; once I get an image in my head, I can’t let it go without doing it, and I liked how it created a sort of storyline. In reality, you could probably read these two in either order; but my original idea was that whoever or whatever is responsible for Stan’s injury came back for round two, and that’s when Ford goes from worried to drawing the gun.) (Man I hate that gun.)

Today’s prompt is Favourite Character but I couldn’t choose just one so here’s my favourite chaotic pair!! Stan is one of my biggest comfort characters and I relate to Mabel so dang much and I love drawing them both

So here’s my full piece for the calendar! Monster-fighting is festive, right? SO FESTIVE. Yeah, you go ahead and fight that Krampus, guys. I’m sure there is no way that could go wrong.
(The krampus is based on several of the traditional costumes actually worn by krampus figures in Austria for the Krampusnacht festival, which was December 5th. Lots of fur, lots of alpine cow bells, I gather.)
I like that Eda being Stan’s ex-wife is presumably cannon (S2 Hints more on it + Stan interview) So I thought of the differences between Stan/Eda and Ford/Lilith. Ford and Lilith give off friend vibes, like if there was something between them, they’d have a relationship where they still have that bestie energy ✋
They would participate in a book club. Even if they were the only ones in it, it’d still happen
