And I think a kid used George Floyd as their person. She says “ we want to compare MLK to someone who is not violent George Floyd was violent he was resisting arrest and tried to crawl into his car to get a knife. Things aren’t always how they seem. I tell my kids that if they are stopped by a cop to do whatever the cop says and give them their IDs. George was on drugs and stole money from a pregnant woman. I want to be able to tell people I love you. I want to be able to shower you with acts of kindness and affection without it being ‘unprofessional’ or 'unacceptable’. I want to be able to hold your hand without disgusted stares or ugly words. I want to be able to tell YOU that I love you. I want to be able to tell the whole world I love you.
But I can’t. Because it is unprofessional and I am just another student to you. So I’ll walk away knowing you changed my life for the better and wishing it could’ve been different between us.

“I know Sarah’s brilliant.” he said, smiling next to my friend who was gushing over me. He looked at me with that smile I love and I felt like my heart was pounding so loud, everyone could it it’s beat.
A few minutes later and he made me blush again.
“Should I talk to you about my project idea? We’ve spoken about it before, but since you wanted everyone to come up and discuss their projec-”

After a two week stretch where I lost the two men who helped guide me through this journey called life, Thomas L Foley and Clarence A Burrows, my dad and my moms love her life, the haze is lifting and we heal by living the lessons we learned. I take those lessons and continue on my path. Peace to the TriState as I head back to the 305…thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. As a public school third-grade teacher, Teresa Danks has grown accustomed to getting creative when it comes to providing supplies for her classroom.
But when her husband joked about begging in the streets to raise money for supplies, she took it seriously.

Recent cuts to Oklahoma’s education budget have made Danks frustrated with the system, which is why she decided to do anything in her power to still deliver the level of education needed.
Danks said she had never panhandled before and wanted to act quickly before she changed her mind. After picking up a poster board from a nearby QuikTrip, she laid it on the hood of her car outside and scrawled a message: “Teacher Needs School Supplies! Anything Helps. Thank You.” At the bottom, she added a smiley face.
Within 10 minutes, she had collected $32. One person stopped to hand her a bottle of water. Another wanted to tell her how much her own teachers had meant to her.
“I went from being nervous and awkward to being overwhelmed, not only with the small donations of cash but just the words of encouragement,” Danks said.
