MOON FEELING FUNK

My YOLA logs prove that I don’t usually do write ups that I post during the Capricorn Moon. I tend to think they may be too dark and gloomy for others. And my wounded inner self has a habit of withholding such information due to “shadow fearing” that is commonplace in humanity. But she is unlearning ‘cause a true Moon woman knows that her the Luna Goddess fluctuates in nature, therefore a first rule of moon engagement is never, never deny her phases nor hide her faces.

Today I shift with the Moon and rest in the melancholy, gloomy and pessimistic side of this Saturn influenced Moon and how Capricorn Moon days can sometimes mix up feelings with business. The current Sun shy weather coincides. So if you’re experiencing a downshift in the feeling spectrum then I am confirming that you are not alone and you are on Moon point. Don’t despair. It is the Capricorn Moon nipping at your heart. Plus Pluto’s influence can tint this Moon time with a blend of gloom and doom. Sucks right? But don’t fight it! Breathe and be right….with it!

The Moon just went over my natal Sun and transiting Pluto in my 4th house and has been illuminating and taking me back to my roots. Conversations with my ancestors, childhood memories resurfacing; the feeling of repressed trauma awakening in an effort to be released; reflections on “home” and what it means to me while honoring the need to be by myself. It’s a deep call from beyond to “go home”.  And a sneaky feeling that this world does not feel like home.

Yesterday I read a story of an unsuccessful suicide attempt of an African American female doctor. It was during the Capricorn Moon and now I see the need to define suidice attempts as “a call to go home”.

The experience of any Moon placement will depend directly on the area of your life (chart) it is moving through and its aspects to other planets. You may certainly not be having a “home, mother, family or roots experience like I am having with my Capricorn 4th house Sun, but you are definitely dancing with the Moon - conscious or not!

I promise you that how ever you are feeling, it will soon lift when the Moon shifts into Aquarius later tonight. Meanwhile it’s a great day to plan, organize and be with the Moon Funk tunes.

SATURN RETROGRADES IN SAGITTARIUS Saturn in Sagittarius will be retrograding on this Friday, March 2

SATURN RETROGRADES IN SAGITTARIUS

Saturn in Sagittarius will be retrograding on this Friday, March 25, 2016. So what does that mean for you? It means reorganizing and experiencing that progression does not always mean rock steady forward movement. It is an invitation to reorganize those areas of your life Saturn threads. It means more focused awareness, changing life structures and it means balancing the energy to achieve and the energy just to be, without needing to achieve.

The Mountain goat (Capricorn) can give a perfect analysis. Have you ever climbed a mountain before? Astrologer colleague Elsa Elsa inspired a great comparison between this Saturn retrograde and climbing a mountain.

You are facing a mountain you must climb. First you look at it, scan it then you start your climb right? Making sure you have the tools and necessities in your backpack. What tools do you need for this trek and what needs to be packed? Got them?  It may be water or food or a blanket necessary for surviving the climb and or for when you reach the top.  You may come to a point where you realize you forgot something. If it is essential then you back track and go back to get it. But that’s not all that bad Is it? You are retrieving the necessities.  Or you reach a blocked path on mountain and must blaze a different trail. No problem. Finding a safer path is better than falling down.  In these cases you are Progressing Even As You Retrack.

I have not climbed a huge mountain before. Only figurative ones spread throughout my life. Those I know quite well. But just the other day my son and I went hiking amongst some steep hills. We lost our way back and had to carve out our own trail to get back to the top. We ended up climbing a rather steep hill with dry leaves on the surface. Now you know dry leaves are slippery so it’s a tricky one. I have his backpack on my back and I am glad I do because it’s grounding me and keeping me in my body. He goes ahead and reaches for my hand while I grab on to a thin tree that is young and not so strong. It gets caught in my scarf I have on my head. Now I am stuck trying to release myself in the midst of climbing. But my body gives no warning signals so I am fine.

After a  brief struggle, I put another foot ahead of the other and grab on to another tree bark that is stronger and slightly bigger. We can do this! We can do this! I dare not look behind. I keep pulling myself up digging my feet through the dried leaves. It’s exhilarating and a thrill. I meet my strength. I touch the power of my Mars that took me there. A long exhale leaves my body as we reach the top.

The Saturn in Sagittarius retrograde will slow progress down even more, Makimg us more aware of our humanly limitations and responsibilities. Saturn has been squaring my Uranus, my Pluto and my Chiron this year and my move and travels  have been seriously delayed. I can wallow deeper into that sorrow or I can accept it as more time to get my whole life (re)designed and organized.

I’ve been working on two publications. One is a book and the other is my YOLA Whole Life Planner & Organizer. The process began rather swiftly but soon slowed down by nature’s order. I am a Saturn girl. For the most part, I am seasoned when it comes to patience. I can handle this.

The Whole Life Planner & Organizer is my way of reorganizing my life and deepening my Moon connection and developing a relationship with the planets, a way to keep track of my daily activities, document my life and plan according to the nature’s cycles.  It is a powerfully daily grounding and daily self care experience. As I work on myself, I get more encouraged and excited about sharing this creative tool with others.

I am working with someone in formatting and laying out my book. This is my third return and now he won’t be available to submit my work for another 2 to 3 days. He asked for an extension. I don’t freak out because it feels like the natural order of things. I am not regressing it’s a pause in progression and I know that.

Saturn in Sagittarius will deeply touch those of us with Uranus and Pluto in Virgo. But keep in mind everyone will be touched, This has been the square dance for me adding Chiron to the mix. Saturn is moving towards my South Node, Mercury and Venus in my 3rd house.  So I am knee deep in this Saturn slow down game.  Above all I trust that Saturn is working on my behalf. I am learning to listen to his wisdom and his counsel and utilize the lessons as I move forward.

Most people focus on gloom and the hardships that Saturn can bring if the work isn’t done. I like to focus on the qualities of crystallization, order, and planning. Oh my! The word PLANNING! Something I have struggled with for so long which is why I have not offered any classes or workshops and events for years.

When you have a story like mine and have lived the kind of life that I have - one that flows with the go and goes with the flow; when you are ending an entire old life that turned out in ways you did not all plan, like mine, it’s pretty damn scary standing at the doorway of a new one.

How do I make plans when I have zit… nada…. nothing…while I stand at ground zero. I believe I really need this Saturn (restructure, organize) in Sagittarius (faith, higher mind, fortune) retrograde period to relearn how to and actualize the PLAN of my WHOLE LIFE while integratimg all his lessons.

So what’s your Saturn in Sagittarius story?

If you are interested in joining my free webinar to introduce you to YOLA: Whole Life Planning, Organizing & Storytelling  then sign up @ [email protected]. Dates will be confirmed before the Full Moon is over.

THE WAR & PEACE REPORT“The only things that life denies you are the things that you are

THE WAR & PEACE REPORT

“The only things that life denies you are the things that you are willing to let pass by. Fight for the things you love, and love that which is worth fighting for. ”

When the Sun blazes through the young fire of Aries it lights up all the symbols and qualities that Aries aspires to capture, express or suppress - new beginnings, startups, births & rebirths, sparks of fire, selfishness, aggression, conflicts, war. But while the light shines on the individual self, the Full Moon is eclipsing and illuminating the hidden qualities and expressions of it’s counterpart Libra.

This lunar eclipse in Libra offers a space to review the shadows of our relationships and the blindspots that need visibility. It wants us to learn from the experiences of relating that rattled us at the core, but are still not quite finished yet. Or there may be a need to take another look at the resistance around commitments, the darkness of over pleasing, and to face the stumbling blocks around joining another, creating unions, merges and acquisitions, marriages and partnerships. Are they peace?

With these trailing and intense transits, it is important that you listen to your body and pay attention to the guidance and wisdom it is offering. Constipation may be alerting you of the need to let go totally and completely.  A difficult task for many but one that says you’re holding on. Flushing with room temperature water accentuated with lime or lemon or even a pinch of pink Himalayan salt will begin to perform wonders in creating movement and flow within.

Our kidneys are under pressure during this Lunar eclipse and Full Moon in Libra. Many are up against long held fears now awakening and bidding it’s time to be removed with all the False Evidences Appearing Real. A kidney flush would be perfect. Apparently water is the essential element to balancing the fire and air so that we are not overheated from the blazing flames of Aries or dried out emotionally by excess Libra breeze. The Solar Eclipse in Pisces is still in our midst moistening us with emotions that want to anchor us into the heart center.

War & Peace are two sides of the same coin. The War is not out there it is inside of you and the Peace is not something someone else brings to you. It rests deep inside of you. Aries & Libra makes these two opposing yet complimentary forces clear. Somethings are worth fighting for and all peace only shatters you to pieces. Until we embrace both as a part of human nature, the world, life, and you will continue to be lopsided, out of balance. It is in our nature to fight. And it has become a habit to want peace while undermining or disregarding war. War wants its due process.
And peace wants to be authentic and just enough.

Teen Practical Life Lessons It’s a quiet Sunday morning and my son and I are up early to do big load

Teen Practical Life Lessons

It’s a quiet Sunday morning and my son and I are up early to do big loads of accumulated laundry at a local mat. After about two hours, clothes are washed, dried and neatly folded. As I begin to pack them, my son initiates the loading process in the car. Minutes later I step outside to see a police patrol car parked directly behind us — engine running while he sits in his car.

I make no direct physical or eye contact. I only see the figure behind the wheel but can not make out any details. There is rising uneasiness about it all. We are in a parking lot. So why has he pulled up behind us?

I remain quiet and choose to ignore him. But soon, I check in with my son because I begin feeling his tension. There is something rather unnerving and a bit intimidating about law enforcement appearing unexpectedly and intrusively that is difficult for anyone to easily ignore these days.

Police officers (and the entire judiciary system) are a prominent Saturn figure in society. They represent structure, the establishment, discipline, rules and regulations, law and order, boundaries and limitations within societies and the world. There image speak of the planetary aspects unseen. Note: they are symbols, portrayals, metaphors and in character. Otherwise, they are also very human like anyone else.

These Saturn representatives are stiff, serious and uniformed in more ways than their attires. Control and power is what most seek which is why many of them become police officers. They may struggle with or lack it in many ways resulting in being the most clever domestic violence perpetrators.

According to Diane Wetendorf, life-long advocate who pioneered the field of police officer-involved domestic violence abusers and author of Police Domestic Violence: A Handbook for Victims, talks about how police abusers differ from other abusers only in that they are tougher and more dangerous. They have training, a badge, a gun and the weight of the police culture behind them. Smart police do not hit, slap, kick, or choke their partners. It is not necessary. They exercise their power by intimidating, isolating and terrifying the victim. Those are usually the ones that are terror within their own order. And though fewer, there are ones that do have integrity and sometimes exemplify some of the higher qualities of Saturn’s mission.

Saturnine workers carry an air of authority that also comes with its bag of skeletons that we see today through crimes committed by those who should be enforcing the so-called laws. They carry heavy skeletons dumped upon fallen preys and innocent victims that are labeled and stereotyped and even targeted. Police are trained to walk in and take control of any situation. Their mere presence, voice and stance are used to establish their authority. They learn a full range of information gathering techniques ranging from interviewing and interrogating to vigilant surveillance. The proficient use of these investigative techniques requires the ability to be manipulative and deceptive, says, abuseofpower.info
Much like anyone taking their personal problems to the job or their job stress to their home. We know the story. But this story you are reading is about the other side of a story that we see but don’t consider every day.

After a few minutes of nothing. No moves. Just a watcher, bidding his time? Basking us? Cooking us? I check in with my son to see if he is straight. This 6ft tall, slender chocolate skin man child of mine who has Pluto sitting on his ascendant can project the Plutonian powers in ways even he is unconscious of. A natal placement of his, visible in his physical appearance that I continually observe and study. “I’m good. But this guy makes me uncomfortable.”, he answers. I take another careful glimpse to meet his cream color car still in place with headlights only a few feet away from my tail lights. Nonetheless we forge through our mess shifting and organizing, making room for the remainders of our clean laundry.

My mind drifts like a butterfly and lands on our out-of-state tags and my bumper fender that carries a black and white sticker that says, “Children Need Presence, Not Presents!”; a blue and orange one that says’ “Agnihotra: Heal the Atmosphere, Heal the Planet” and a small REI sticker. I now wonder if bumper stickers truly offer insights into the nature of their owner and if those values meant anything to a uniformed cop.

Nonetheless, we continue to clear and organize. I am deliberate in my effort to ignore the “Poe Poe”. But who really can ignore such a presence that opens cans of worms? In moments like these, tricky ones in deed, gaps in which many, especially young ones fall into the traps they should have already seen coming. It is one played out again and again almost with predictability. A dark skinned human with hands behind their back, cuffed. Then the blame and victim tunes follow and the song and dance repeats itself again. It’s a well oiled illusive machine.

Yet, the psychological shifts and mental twitches, the emotional disturbances are real if you live in a society that judges you by your skin color or the race you compete for. A priceless innocence stripped from the souls of our children because they lack the awareness and skills required to interact and deal with such authority. ReBirth of the Mother says, you’ve tried to change the system, why not try changing the way you see and respond to the system, as well as the system that is within. Children must learn how to deal with the current order with critical thinking and creative skills but first they must see the world in a new way and with new eyes and heart. This is a fundamental aspect of our unschooling.

“You can’t change laws without first changing human nature.”

I sing my new song line which immediately offers us comfort and peace in the knowing that this is not real, it is a trick that I and my son will not fall for.

“Life is but a dream…nothing’s what it seems…”

I continue to sing. Breathing in and out with greater awareness of my inner space and the immediate experience, of the spiritual and energetic aspects of this encounter.

“It’s a test,” I remind my son. One that you may be subjected to in the future. You must be prepared, I offer. And you must play to win, always aim to pass with flying colors. An officer stops or approaches an innocent teenager who has had a rough day at home or at school, who may be sleep deprived, or maybe under a brutally negative spell derived from his diet, relationships, environment and his mental state of mind or all the choices he has made until now. He’s packing. And it is not light. And he is very well drawing the experiences to himself. But there is something to be learned. Most times it is missed so easily. He or she fails, receives a penalty and the lesson must be repeated until he passes his life’s examinations.

Do not project! Do not send the quality of energy that you do not want to receive. Become neutral. It is an intense moment. Silently recite a loving mantra to yourself, stand in your power, so as to instigate a positive outcome, I sing to my son. “Life is but a dream…nothing’s what it seems….”

On the other hand, I remind him that we can also look at other possibilities. Could this officer be on a totally different stroke, unconsciously aware? Keeping that in mind helps ease the tension inside. We refrain from getting caught up in the language and thoughts of the systematic way in which polices are seen and addressed behind their backs. The mutual hating and the power play could create something out of nothing. This happens time and time again.

Consider this my son, if he had an issue with us or my truck, he would have approached us a long time ago. He’s had enough time to run my tags. I know that nothing came back. But in many cases, they are instigators, creating something out of nothing. I begin to guide my son to feel his body, become aware of where you stand and stay out of the head. Breathe and stay clear and solid, with the protective shield around you let no external force break through.

It was another perfect practical unschooling lesson. A lesson on the energetic dynamics of interacting with law enforcement. I have interacted professionally, casually and not so pleasantly at a few other times. enoughknow firsthand and foremost that they are humans with functions like anyone else. I like to remain keenly aware of the bigger picture and how in this rat race everyone is pigeonholed, stereotyped and unconsciously and consciously living up to those labels and expectations in more ways than not. It’s a game, I remind him. You fare well when you learn how to play from a higher place. You must use all your senses to discern and decipher. You must command respect but must also give it.

Neptune is the planet of illusion, of deception and the unseen spirit world. We need our natural spiritual tools to navigate and rise above the fogginess of living. I believe that it is imperative that kids are schooled on how to deal with the structures of society that demean and damage them. That kind of schooling is missing from the curriculum of institutions. Family wounds are one part of the picture. Then there are also the wounds of society which have caused deep pain and suffering for generations. Neptune wants us to look past the material and sense what lies in the other field. But right now humans are dense and distracted by the rapid pace of technology while old programmings of the past remain outdated.

When we recognize the power of choice in the immediate experience, we can begin to choose wisely by simply being in the experience, feeling our way through it, raising our thoughts around it, one breath at a time. For the moment will point the way if we fuse with it. That is the magic we can teach our children. The magic of choosing consciously.

Energy is the basic unit of our existence. We operate, communicate, move, think, breathe and live from that foundation. Everything is energy, especially our thoughts. So next time and in any given moment, we can ask ourselves, “What is the energy reading right now?” When we become aware of and live from the field of energy, we can see the hidden factors and we can see that nothing is what it seems. This begins to open the third eye that can see beyond.

“Life is but a dream….nithing’s what it seems!”

Limitations and boundaries are two of Saturn’s symbols. Authority and respect are two others. Law enforcement officers are ruled by Saturn and they naturally operate under the laws and symbols of this planet. For good and for worse. We are up against that in our selves. So I choose to question myself:

How can my son (and I) establish healthy boundaries and implement limitations in necessary areas of our lives?

How are my personal laws of living working for me?

How can there be a maintenance of mutual respect in probable interactions that are challenging and those that may be life threatening?

As a Capricorn mother, I am constantly and naturally teaching the principles of respect through the successes and errors of my own private deeds and public relations. My belief being… If I have to choose between “being liked” or “being respected” I always choose the latter.

My greatest qualm with police officers is the bullshit hassle, the drama that is time robbing, and the authoritative chip on their shoulders they come with. As well as their ability to push and push all your buttons or ‘make’ you push back. And you are done for, if you lack constraint or restraint (a Saturn or Capricorn thing). As a Saturn girl I have had my share of police friends and police enemies in this lifetime.

Yet, I empathize with innocent ones who get pushed over into the dark side as unconscious self-defense kicks in and they end up going through the systematic theatrics and tree wasting paperwork. From the eyes of a road trekker like myself, I fear patrol officers are probably the only ones in society able to directly attempt to overstep my boundaries and limitations at their will while I stand and watch them. A feeling of being spiritually rapped.

I face and sit with this insecurity, vulnerability and with fear whose roots run deeper than this episode. These emotional building moments go way beyond and before this groovy Sunday morning momentary and sudden interruption (Uranus) by Mr. Saturn.

“Life is but a dream…nothing’s what it seems….”

Pulling on the emotional strings between the past and the present of this longstanding unconscious mystery unfolding before me, silently I scream out loud inside my head….”You are mistaken officer, we are not who you think we are!”

Seconds later, he shifts into reverse gear, backs away from the bumper of my truck and goes on his way.

CANCER NEW MOON: A Blanket of Love What would it feel like to be wrapped in a blanket of love all th

CANCER NEW MOON: A Blanket of Love

What would it feel like to be wrapped in a blanket of love all the time? To feel safe, stable, nurtured, comforted and whole in every situation? Imagine what it would be like to walk out each day with confidence that love guides your paths and handles every experience?

The Cancer spirit is easy to summons. All you need is a safe place and to come to find stillness within yourself. Your exhausted mind lets go of the excess thoughts, you feel as though you were dipping into a cool swimming pool on a hot summer day. You sink into the fluid waters that contour your body and carry it in its waves.

Cancer is a water sign - it’s energy is fluid, cleansing and receptive. This cardinal water sign makes it really special and sweet for connecting with loved ones, those you call family. This is high time for spiritual practices, for magic, for spells, for rituals. The ancestors are easy to reach, the angels are in closer proximity, even the sounds of nature are louder.

Two nights ago, my son and I spent the evening together. The windows were wide open with a view of large trees joined together like a tribe. I could feel the essence of family as my heart was so happy and my soul cherishing the moments we could spend together. The sky began to light up with flashes across the sky, seeing the trees through the quick flashes of daylight, thunder rolled like drums in the heavens as it began to pour. We both love the rain. He is a Spring baby! So he always sinks into comfort and feels nurtured when we have those wonderful tropical rainfalls that bring in a fresh scent from nature’s earth garden.

This rain was special, it was a conversation with nature that brought the ancestors in our midst to assure us that they are standing by. There was a bird that seem as though it was sitting on the window pain. It’s melody was so loud, it felt as though it was inside. It was raining so hard it could not fly in the sky.

Each Moon cycle brings new energy for growth. But what specifically should you grow now? Astrology typically answers “what” questions by looking at houses. Look to the house of your birth chart with Cancer on the cusp: here’s your personal seed bed this month. This is the place where you usually “do” this sign, where the Moon is most at home, and the dance of her phases is most relevant. The New Moon may bring a unique opportunity here… but you must tune in to hear it’s whispers and understand its lyrics.

What does Cancer have to say?

Waiting for Cancer to show up is the fun part. No way can I predict it for you. You may get a brilliant new idea for a creative project—or a sudden urge to really clean your house or garden. It’s amazing what clearing and organizing your space can do. It’s like birds building the nest before the eggs appear. Or perhaps you’ll be asked to act as Cancer’s agent. You might cook your favorite dish or try a new one, or you might bake a cake to cheer up a friend. A child or lost cat might need your help. Cancer’s message? Notice how much you receive whenever you selflessly give.

But what if nothing wonderful happens? What if you simply feel stuck? That’s a sign that you’re under the spell of the Dark Mother, the one who resists your growth. She’s the one who always keeps you from the party because something bad could happen. On the first day of your diet, she likes to surprise you with your favorite dessert.

According to Jungian analyst Marion Woodman, the Dark Mother is like “a great lizard lounging in the depths of the unconscious.” She is threatened by change. She wants you mired in inertia, feeling so incapable, that you can’t aspire to anything new. In the old days, knights took swords to the dark-mother dragons hiding in their caves. But now, with an open heart and courageous awareness, you can simply relax and coax your inner dragon into the light. There you can see how fearful she is. Speak softly, stroke her brow, and tell her everything is going to be all right. Once you gain her trust, the old dragon will change before your eyes into a willing and magical partner.

EMOTIONAL MATURATION SUN, MOON, MERCURY & VENUS in CANCER says let’s TALK about the FEELINGS and

EMOTIONAL MATURATION

SUN, MOON, MERCURY & VENUS in CANCER says let’s TALK about the FEELINGS and the DARK side of our RELATIONSHIPS and the way we do MONEY. Let’s not hide them in the SHADOWS. Feeling horrible? Don’t hide it. Feeling lonely? Don’t try to hide it! Feeling upset? Ride it!!!

Truth is ALL our FEELINGS are birthed in the SHADOWS until they are expressed, out in motion. Feelings derive from our shadow, unconscious world. It is the expression, the movement of those instinctual sensations that honors the heart Energy’s need to be in Motion. (E-Motion) Problems develop the moment we begin to hold them in for FEAR of something we have imagined.

You can RUN from whatever, or whomever triggered those FEELINGS but you can’t HIDE from them or from yourself.

Example: a longtime Facebook friend. After writing a review for my book, and I extended the discussion on promoting it with her, She agreed to one of my ideas but choked on the second one. This one turned the light on her SHADOW. I could feel it although we were miles apart. She was uncomfortable with my request for reasons created and held by her SHADOW. But instead of her focusing on the FEELINGS that surfaced from deep within her, instead of expressing how it made her FEEL or what came up for her she flipped the script on me! I could literally see her emotional demons swirling around her vying for her sincere attention. She instead turned it on me and criticized my asking. EMOTIONAL AVOIDANCE - a moon dis-ease many many women suffer from.

So she chose to UNFRIEND me without saying anything to me. Now that is hilariously SHADOWY!! Insincere, shady & femininely treacherous. For You can NOT eliminate the TRIGGER person! I triggered her deep SHADOWY emotions but she had no clue. She only reacted from the very same SHADOW place. She saw it as me and not her. How many of us are guilty of that?

EMOTIONAL DODGING!!!

This stellium in CANCER offers us a chance to MATURE EMOTIONALLY. I believe that is what MOTHERHOOD is meant to teach us….for our children pull out and challenge our own emotional inner child and we often times react from our childlike selves. EMOTIONAL E-DISCIPLINE, E-MATURITY, E-WISDOM are fundamental to our WELL BEING!

Be WISE with the FEELINGS!

Try not to Project Instead…REFLECT! We have so much to learn about our FEMININE ESSENCE - we are so far behind, remaining in the Dark. We need to catch up with our MOON selves!! The Cancer Season is here to guide us!!

MOON ON FIRE
By the Aries Flame

Each time the Moon travels through a sign it triggers an area of each our lives. Your chart can be your guide. The ARIES MOON takes me back to my roots where I was birthed by two emotionallly immature ARIES cats. I could not figure out my souls choice around this but now I understand and it makes sense why I needed them as teachers. They were necessary lessons and adversaries for my SOUL to gain its EMOTIONAL MATURITY & WiSDOM over TIME. I owe it to my magnificent Capricorn 4th house Sun for shining the light on that. And in the wisdom of my soul, I thank the souls of my narcissistic parents.

I used to struggle with ARIES people because of what I saw and endured during my childhood days. Imagine deriving from a WAR torn HOME - literally and figuratively. There were conflicts between mommy and daddy and I also experienced the trauma of a war torn COUNTRY. Perfectly but at the same time bitterly synced, I was uprooted by both but landed on my feet “like a cat” and made my way to live in another part of the world.

Today, I have pulled out a new kind of lens for seeing the ARIES ones with their Sun or Moon. ARIES rules my 7th House so I naturally took on some of their crazy characteristics. But TIME shifts it all and I am coming into being comfortable with my One-on-One ARIES side around the art of living and relating - in my 7th house task. I can distinguish my Public Enemies from the ones that are not.. And the greatest news around that is I have my TAURUS Moon living smack in ARIES’ flaming house just like growing up in the home of an Aries Ma & Pa.

This Moon Bull has learned the tricks of the youngie ARIES and actually the training began at an early start on how to keep COOL in the eye of the charging ARIES storm.

Peace & mostly War with the Aries Moon!

Where is ARIES popping in your life? Notice how it’s activated during this ARIES MOON!

HALTING YOUR HORSE Mars retrograde can be mad perverted tines or it could be sexual healing times. Y

HALTING YOUR HORSE

Mars retrograde can be mad perverted tines or it could be sexual healing times. You’ve got the planet of full blown expression from the core slowing down in a world that likes to keep going. But astrology, which I love for the very reason, lets us know we are not in control and it offers us a mapping so that we can keep up with the cosmic timing and aligning.

One of the best Mars Retrograde stories is about a friend who met Mr. Wonderful. He was the perfect gentle man…. until she discovered that he could not “get it up”. Men frequently mask their sexual disabilities by playing the “really nice guy”. And they are usually the ones that drag on the first sex moment which most women love because in their mind they think he is serious about her and really likes her. Red flag! Sooner or later it back fires. It Always Does! There is usually hidden issues that come up eventually with these men in relationships…like passive-aggressive behavior. She, of course, had to let him go.

Mars is in charge of our sexual passion, it rules all of our intense often forbidden emotions. The ones that are often feared by self and others. Mars is that turned up eyebrow and tight lips, the horns blowing and the traffic cut offs. The gritting of the teeth, the pimples on your forehead, vaginal yeast infections, as well, are some of the physical Mars responses.

This retrograde is offering a chance to get to the bottom of any unresolved anger and deeply repressed sexuality. I find myself working on relaxing my tensed neck and jaw muscles. As a Taurus Moon/Jupiter woman, if I am not expressing, I am holding back in that area which I am more aware of this during this slowing down period. And there’s still some stuff I haven’t gotten out of me. Luckily my skills as a healer, yoga teacher and body worker serve me very well. I would not be here without them. Literally!

When Mars is Retrograde, The War Instigator Always Loses. It is common to see battles around you during the retrograde period. I am making a list of the wild Mars stuff I am already seeing. Keep in mind that if you pick a fight you will certainly lose.
During a Mars retrograde, the Russians fired the first shot in Afghanistan and they were ultimately forced to withdraw. A lawsuit in court will work in favor of the defendant during this time.

Mars retrograde says keep trotting, keep evolving but be ready to know how and when to halt your horse.

“Mars creates conflict. Conflicts reveals our wisdom. They reveal our strengths. They reveal our weaknesses. Conflict can push us past what is comfortable and towards what we need to develop within ourselves.

Mars moves us. Mars is energy. Red, hot, untamed energy. Mars is drive. Mars is passion. Mars makes us aware of our desires. Our desire to be an individual. Our desires to do what we want. Our desires are dangerous if we deny them. They demand entrance into our life. Desires are not arbitrary. Desires are road maps that lead us toward our potential.”    - Chani Nicholas

It’s a Mars Mars time for all of us! I feel the energy and motion or lack thereof, of my own. My Mars happens to be in the workaholic sign of Virgo.  And ironically my work has never been clear cut, given its in the most hidden house. I just started a new part-time job to gain financial momentum. There is a concentration of Mars through the initial stellium in Aries that remains present. I now accept my position and place in the battle field of life.

Not having much of the visible male energy around in my home, after daddy took off, leaving a void in the Martian side of my heart. But I had to learn how to defend myself with no daddy or masculine figure around and available.  I was sensitive and peaceful but I fought back if anyone tried to fuck with me.

Standing with my back turned one day in class, I was attacked from the rear. A classmate and obvious enemy hit me. My instinct was to hit back and I did just that. I let a punch roll on her jaw. I kicked and slapped her down. We were in the classroom, but the session was over and we were in between sunbjects. Don’t recall where the teacher was or what became of that. One thing’s for sure I was not the trouble making type. I was more of the good smart girl. A fine example for others because they say I embodied, brains, body and did not hold back my blows. And as time went they became verbal blows! This is the side to me that didn’t come out unless there is a cause to fight. And I am known to fight with words. My pen is my sword.

I grew up in a peaceful nation where war in relationships were never hindered or prevented. We threw “pqweety”. Haha… I know I got the spelling wrong of of that tongue twister but make no mistake I know how to pronouce that African native slang. Pqweety means “to fight”, to throw someone down! To engage the warrior!

As Mars begins to slow down (retrograde) his war flaming chariot, it is shifting the full force of the Sun and Uranus in Aries into lower gear. I’ve already had sandpaper and open encounters with two women I know through social media. Not face to face but remotely. Nevertheless. I am well aware of my Taurus Moon’s ease and groundedness that was implemented time and time again while growing up in an explosive Aries dominated home.

Ain’t nothing gonna break my stride! No body’s gonna hold me down!

Due to the lower vibrations of Mars cultivated and practiced by those men that came before us, we tend to hate and despise war for all the wrong reasons. War has lost its honor, its glory, its respect as a result.  But we are war driven by nature, war instigators by habit. It is our natural urge to protect and defend; a built in instinct. It is also in charge of our sexual currents and passion filled acts. Without Mars we would be flat, monotone, weak and lazy,

This Mars retrograde in Sagittarius seeks to help us see WAR in a higher way. We have stopped fighting for what we heartfully know and believe. We have become complacent, compliant, cozy and comfortable in living lies and lying about our living.

During this retrograde…take time to get to know your Mars a bit more. Find out what the sexy or not do sexy inner man in you is like - if you are a woman.  There is something beautifully sexy, wholesome amd balanced about a radiant Mars.  Stand up for what you believe! Stand up for love! If you don’t you will fall for anything!

Love and peace are both worth fighting for! You can be a peaceful warrior! Or a tyrannical one. The choice is yours. I’d rather die fighting with honor than live without the integrity of my soul.

“You can always die. It’s living that takes real courage.“ - Himura Kenshin”
