The world is the stage on which I put on my act. Masks and ribbons adorn my head as I pirouette and dance across the stage from the left to the right, never faltering or missing a beat. Always maintaining a perfect show for the contentment of my audience. Maybe one day the mask will feel suffocating and the ribbons will wrap to tightly around my neck. But even if that day comes, the stage will still demand me to stay in character. After all, why close the curtains when my audience only knows me by my facade?

“The Boston Red Sox won last night.” She stated, not looking at Heather. “One hell of a game. That home run was very .”

Heather stopped, causing Veronica to stop too, and stared at the brunette in confusion. “…You watch baseball?”

Chapter 6

Prom Bet art from Chapter 11, also a chance to draw them in the Remington party outfits :]

Happy Valentine’s from PoshBiscuit ❤

“When they began dating and people got bored of the poll and stopped giving her answers, Veronica offered to listen.”

So, say I start. I pick every flower for ten miles? How far does that get me? I sell them on the street like Shaw’s girl? Do I get lifted from my plight? Does the gracious Man come to educate and show me the ways of His world?  Say He comes. Say I am taken to the home I have stared at; inside the door, over the stoop that I have so often drooled. I am brought in as a bosom friend; a confidant.…

I’ve had two great years (2015-2017) with a New York magazine @w42st designing their monthly #infographic about NY culture. I loved challenging myself every time to create something new - color wise, #illustration wise, style wise, #typography wise…All drawn by hand in Adobe Illustrator and then put together in Adobe Photoshop. I loved the freedom the Editor in Chief, amazing Ruth Walker, was giving me to explore whatever inspired me at the moment. Of course, I took a lot of inspiration from #NYC itself, especially from #HellsKitchen where I lived at that time. I had someone recently wanting to buy the whole collection ❤️ and #Uber office contacted me in 2017 and commissioned me to make an oversized poster for their office based on my infographic dedicated to #HudsonYards featuring the old and new #landmarks of the area. Many other great things came out of this experience - including illustrating a few film posters and book covers. #w42st #graphicdesign #illustration #design #work #portfolio #infographics #infographic #datavisualization #newyork #newyorkcity #hellskitchen #holidays #landmarks #history #facts #funfacts #alisakrutovsky #adobeillustrator #adobephotoshop #adobe #arts #theatre #culture #food (at New York, New York)

The actor known under the stage name Mademoiselle Mars (1779-1847), a member of one of the oldest theatre companies in the world, the Comédie-Française, seen in “Muscovite” costume in this 1814 portrait by Baron Gérard, a family friend.

Her real name was Anne-François-Hippolyte Salvetat and she chose her stage name after her unmarried mother, actor Madame Mars (Jeanne-Marguerite Salvetat). After debuting on the stage at the age of fourteen, she became one of the era’s favourite actors. She was also a staunch Bonapartist who along with the most distinguished members of the Comédie-Française was selected to give special performances in Dresden (Kingdom of Saxony, now in Germany), one of the theatre-loving Napoleon Bonaparte’s headquarters during the Napoleonic Wars and, that same year, 1813, the site of a major battle victory. She gave her farewell performance in 1841.

Hermann Nitsch (29 August 1938 – 18 April 2022)

Born in Vienna, Nitsch is regarded as one of the most versatile contemporary artists, whose practice ranged from performance, to painting, composing (symphonies, organ concerts), and set design.

The artist is known for staging radical and controversial performances as part of the Viennese Actionism movement, of which he was a crucial founder.

His performances and paintings often incorporated blood, flesh and viscera, among other materials.

His painting actions first took place in the 1950s, when he conceived his famed Theatre of Orgies and Mysteries (O.M.Theatre), a provocative, intensive sensory experience of various substances and fluids.
