Do you ever feel like you manifested this?
Like, intellectually I understand more or less the process of… capitalism and poor decisions and whatnot that led us here. But do you ever feel that way?
1999, I was sitting in a college classroom debating… something. I don’t remember. All I remember is some smarmy jock-type guy setting my hair on fire with his ignorance, and losing my temper at him, saying something like he felt that way because he had no perspective, that all our parents and grandparents remembered where they were when Pearl Harbor and D-Day happened, when JFK was shot, when we landed on the moon, when the draft was announced for Vietnam, and “What does our generation remember? When the OJ Simpson verdict came down?”
(I was in high school, but I was home sick, laying on the couch. The “special report” cut into, IIRC, one of the Beastmaster movies. Something of that ilk, anyway. At my school, someone was running down the hall screaming “NOT GUILTY! NOT GUILTY!” but I wouldn’t know that ‘til later.)
(I remember 9/11, watching the towers come down over and over and over again, thinking about that class and thinking to myself I did this even though I knew rationally I hadn’t.)
February 26th 1993: World Trade Center bombing
On this day in 1993, a truck bomb was detonated below the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. The bomb was intended to knock the North Tower into the South Tower to destroy them both, but this did not occur. The attack still killed six people, including a pregnant woman, and injured over one thousand. The terrorist attack was planned by a group of conspirators and masterminded by Ramzi Yousef. In 1994, four men were convicted of carrying out the bombing and two more were convicted in 1997. The group were funded by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who would go on to be the principal co-ordinator behind the destruction of the Twin Towers on September 11th 2001. The memorial to the victims of the 1993 attack was destroyed on 9/11, but they are currently memorialised at the North Pool of the National 9/11 Memorial, opened in 2011.

None of the hijakers were women, gay, or black. The real murderers of 9/11 are straight white men.
Never forget the real people who were affected by 9/11. Never forget who else fought for their lives and didnt make it in 9/11. Every cis white male got all the praise and coverage, while everybody else who is gay, black, muslim, etc, got to sit on the sidelines and receive nothing. Disgusting, racist, homophobic, transphobic scumbags you are.
Cops are constantly shooting innocent, harmless, and amazing PoC, and that’s because they’re pigs. They think they can get away with anything and that’s why they do what they do. Well, they can’t. Not if we all band together and put an end to the cops trying to kill minorities in cold blood for nothing other than being horrible people. Additionally, teachers are racist because they fail to teach our African American youth the proper lessons in order to become successful. And finally, the worst of them all, 9/11. It’s more racist than anything else in modern history because of the fact that the muslims that hijacked those planes were brave, courageous, and muslims. They had families to go home to, wives to love, and kids to meet. They were people too. And they were killed by cisgender white males like Donald Trump. We need to end the patriarchy, stop the government now by protesting at your local government offices. We need to get them to stop police officers being homophobic, xenophobic, and horrible people.
The twin towers are not only made by men but phallic in shape. This, coupled with the fact that we honor the towers, is a disgrace to all women everywhere who stand for feminism. We need a holiday of equal caliber for a great disaster that befell womankind exclusively. Anyone have any ideas? We need to boycott the celebration of 9/11, as well. Pure sexist garbage.
OKAY SO. Im just gonna be real with you guys. 9/11 Is RACIST and SEXIST in every form. Think about it.
All of the plane attackers are MEN and MUSLIMS. There is no diversity in this at all. And we keep being told to “NEVER FORGET”. But when we try to remember what it was, everybody talks about justs the terrorism, and war. But NOBODY addresses how blately sexist and racist everything about 9/11 is.
