The new year is just a few days away, and one of the things I’m trying to get better at is incorporating more veggies into my diet. I will be adding extra veggies to my meals and drinking more green smoothies to make sure I get the right amount for the day. Thank goodness my @vitamix can help me with that. For the last 3 months I have been studying with my amazing teacher Clinical Nutritionist Liana Shanti at her Health Mastery Institute to become a Health Wellness Coach. I am studying about innovative nutrition, mind and body wellness education, raw food plant base diet and natural healing techniques. Vegetables truly are one of the best sources of vitamins, minerals, and disease-fighting phytochemicals you can find, which makes them excellent food cures. You should be getting at least five servings of vegetables daily, but I encourage you to eat even more than that, since they’re so good for you.

I know that many people won’t eat this big amounts so the best way to incorporate veggies and greens in daily routine is to drink green juice and green smoothie every day. One of the great things about eating your daily servings of vegetables is that they provide you with an array of nutrients, including the B vitamins folate, riboflavin, niacin, and vitamin B6; antioxidants such as vitamins C and E, beta-carotene, beta-cryptoxanthin, lutein, lycopene, quercetin, and anthocyanins; and countless other phytonutrients. So eat, drink your greens and veggies they are the best food on this planet!
