Just a reminder that you are your very own worst critic and you do not need to worry because you are doing great! You are awesome, keep going! You got this!

Okay my beautiful beans, I am going to try my damn hardest to come BACK TO THIS BLOG!! I know I’ve been slacking come the last three months, but I’m back to having motivation and discipline and I’m ready to rock.

An Aussie show on Netflix called Bringing Sexy Back is what started my motivation back tbh, it’s very good! It’s realistic, and some of these people lose 12kg (26lbs) in six weeks- that’s exactly what I need to lose before my big Orlando vacation coming up in September!

So yah, I’m going to try to post on this blog a lot more I promise because I can do this! I currently weigh 199.2, and if I have lost anything by the end of this week, I’ll update the news

The problem with exercising for weight loss alone, is that if you fail to lose weight, it’s tempting to quit because it’s ‘not working’.

But there are SO many other great reasons to exercise, completely unrelated to weight loss!

1. Because it’s good for your heart!

Exercise improves your cardiovascular health, and helps you live longer.

2. Because it keeps your strong!

Exercise helps strengthen your muscles, and helps you avoid frailty and injury as you get older.

3. Because it’s good for your mental health!

Exercise reduces anxiety and improves mood.

4. Because it’s good for your brain!

Exercise has been shown to improve memory as we age, and decrease the risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

5. Because it’s so much fun!

There are so many great ways to be active, you’re bound to find one you enjoy!

There’s are so many reasons to exercise that aren’t related to weight.

So ditch the scale, and get your body moving for all the other great reasons!

The number on the scale shouldn’t be your main motivator. Do it for yourself And all the benefits it gives you!

“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” - Socrates

I’ve come to realize that’s where I went wrong the first time around. I was so focused on changing my body because I hated it, losing as much weight as quickly as possible, and getting rid of this old person I did not like. I wanted it to stick, but I was lost and didn’t know how to find balance. This time, I’ve found that balance I never knew I needed. I’ve found an amazing support system and community, I’m creating healthy habits that stick, and I’m truly committed to making a lifestyle change. I like and know who I am now, regardless of what weight I’m at, and I want to inspire others to start their lifestyle change today. What are you waiting for?

You can follow my personal weight loss journey through my instagram and my fitblr. Happy #transformationtuesday everybody! I’d like to start featuring weight loss transformations on here every Tuesday, so please submit them to me via the submission link!

SOOOOO

I am thinking about becoming certified as a running coach?

I have been thinking about this for around 2 years now but I have been so on the fence! I really want to help other people become good runners and I want to create plans for people and I want to coach! I also have a TON of experience running!

The thing is though… I am not a consistent runner. I am very overweight and I feel like it would be ridiculous if I was a coach. I don’t think people would take me seriously or want to be coached by me because if I can’t even coach myself, how can they expect good results?

Even if I can’t follow a plan well, I know that there are a ton of people that can! I feel like I have a lot of fun knowledge and I could really help people.

What do you guys think?

Happy New Years!!

My official New Years Resolutions are

  1. Only eat out once a week
  2. Journal for 10 minutes every day
  3. Stretch for 5 minutes in the morning
  4. Do at least one art piece a month
  5. Have half as much debt as I do now by the end of the year

I feel like this year I am going to focus on putting more effort in for myself. I want to try harder to do the things that I love. I also want to be a better me and not feel like I am stuck.
