This art was a matter of time

One of the most interesting AU in mdzs - Wei Wuxian does not die, he develops his order, and finds students to pass on his legacy to them. In mdzs, the closest to dark energy besides Wei Wuxian was Xue Yang, who was quite successful in this matter according to the canon, since he was able to recreate the seal, and he recognized Wei Wuxian’s skill, which gives me the right to believe that he admired him. Besides, it seems to me that if Mo Xuanyu hadn’t died, he could also have become a dark caster. In many fanfictions that I read, because of the weak golden core, Xuanyu resorted to the dark path. Moreover, he and Wei Wuxian have a fairly close relationship as a result, this boy was able to perform the ritual almost perfectly and revive it, taking into account that the most powerful casters were not able to find a shadow of his soul.

Let’s talk a little bit about this art. Firstly, I still think that Xue Yang and Mo Xuanyu just look perfect together. Their destinies, their stories, their appearance at the end. Yes, I really like it.

About AU. In this art, I drew a moment when Xuanyu lived with his family for a long time, he was insulted, humiliated and bullied. He was like a prisoner hating his life, cursing the world and leaving scars on his hands to numb the heartache. But Xue Yang fulfills the promise made to him after the expulsion of Xuanyu from Lanling Jin, and finds him. Xuanyu simply does not listen to any of his questions, looks at the stars in the night sky and rejoices in the freedom and the unenviable fate of his family.

I’m crying again.

And something else. Since pairing is rare and there is very little content on it, I won’t get bored soon. Although now I need to finish my studies and get a diploma.

Well, one night I wanted too much to try to draw something like that. And I’ve been interested in experimenting with this pair for a long time. The experience is cool, I liked it.

In fact, I have a few more ideas for similar projects.. Sketches (?) they are connected with some canonical moments, and with this pairing, and with the darkAU to which I drew concept art. I can’t say anything about the implementation, but such things tighten the skill faster, so I’m sure I’ll repeat this format again.

Well, about the sketch itself and my little headcanons. At least once they shared a bed. Xuanyu horny (Yang-Yang, who are you trying to tease, remember whose son he is) Xuanyu itches his mouth to somehow mark, kiss or bite his lover, it depends on the mood. Yang likes to be bitten, and the harder the better, he does not skimp on the marks himself.

I decided to experiment with my style

Hello everyone!

Do you remember art with Wei Ying and his boy students? Yes, I decided to draw this topic again. I really really like this AU, at least because three (four, Wei Wuxian too) Souls survive in it. (Some kind of Jiang Cheng’s nightmare ..).

So, I decided to do some magic and try to imagine Wei Wuxian’s sect a little richer than it could be in the canon (well, let’s dream and give money to poor A-Xian, for the maintenance of their children).

When I drew clothes for the characters, I didn’t want to make them the same. I flipped through quite a lot of references, was inspired by the images from the doramas and probably adapted them to the style of 2d and Donghua after all. As for the images, I want to draw attention to the patterns on everyone’s clothes. In them, I tried to make some kind of reference to the character or his story.

So A-Yuan has a pattern of clouds and sleeves with sun rays on his clothes, Wei Ying has lotus motifs on his belt and lapels. Besides, many people already know that I love the Jin clan theme, and that’s why there are peonies on Xuanyu’s clothes.

I wanted to somehow unite A-Qing and Xue Yang, after all, they are from the same arch. They have the motives of field herbs, Xue Yang has wormwood + a reference to his surname. In addition, the small pattern on his hanfu is small stylized candies.
