This was a bit of a miscue highly influenced by the term “Box” in the title of the console, modeled before Atari released their first renders of the actual design, which is sleek and modern rather than a throwback to 1970s product design. They have since renamed the new system, “Atari VCS.”
Onitherium and his sleazy manger/championship belt are a low-ranked Fossil Ghoul combining the traits of the ancient mammal uintatherium, an oni, and a pro-wrestling heel.
The sculpt is currently symmetrical, after which he’s going to get a shoulder-strap on one side for his singlet. His Dark Heart incarnates poor sportsmanship, cheating and rudeness, All the Fossil Ghouls are bullies when the opportunity arises, but this guy, I think, owns that as his schtick.
I can see him and Dimetrogorgon teaming up for rock-brained schemes.
Spent about 2 years self teaching 3-4 different 3d modelling programs and Unreal Engine 4.
I made two original characters. Androgynous Half Faerie twin brothers. Because I have such niche inspiration I know If I don’t make what I want for myself, no one ever will. :o
Animated/rigged with Maya A.R.T. Tools plugin for unreal engine 4. Modeled in maya and zbrush. UVM done in 3ds max 2012. Sorry No animation previews atm because I don’t currently have a capture program.
Not super high poly because I still have windows 7 and a 10 year old computer. Each character is about 30-40k polygons. Hair is about 20k.
I am glad I have a skillset for this atm. Maybe I’ll find work later. If anybody knows people looking for a 3d artist that can create some simple weapons and hair models for UE4(Sorry, not really any experience with unity). Let me know.. I’d like to learn and grow from here. Hopefully getting a new computer soon.
Klefki was my first “realistic pokemon render” and one of the first 3D projects I was really proud of. I wanted to redo it to see how far I have come in 5-ish years! 1st is my new render, the 2nd in my old render! quite the progress imho
