In spirit work, we often connect with the spirits that have crossed over and are present in the physical world. However, there are also ways to cross over into the spirit world and connect with spirits in their home environment.

Pathworking

As I mentioned in a previous post, a pathworking is a specific type of meditation where you go on a psychic journey, but are still anchored to your physical body. It’s sort of like dipping your toes into the spirit world.

There are two important elements to a pathworking: a clear entrance/exit point and a way to retrace your steps. Pathworking journeys are typically cyclical — there is both a journey out and a return where you go back the way you came. This makes it easier to fully return your consciousness to your body, and failing to do so can cause you to feel disoriented upon the return.

Your entry/exit point can be absolutely anything, but common examples include a door, a gateway, a tree (or sometimes The World Tree), a cave/tunnel, or a natural landmark like a beach or mountaintop. What’s important is that it’s recognizable and easy to find your way back to.

If you want to try pathworking, make a rough “road map” of your journey beforehand. This doesn’t have to be super specific, but it should contain the following: a goal for the pathworking (such as to connect with a certain spirit), an entry/exit point, and a general idea for the route you’re going to take. If you’re worried about getting lost, author Thea Sabin recommends using “the Theseus trick.” Like in the myth of Theseus and the Minotaur, you can tie a golden thread or rope to your entry point and the other end to your astral body. If you get lost, you can follow the thread back.

Pathworking is fairly beginner friendly, and I highly, highly, highly recommend starting with pathworking and becoming comfortable with this method before trying astral travel. Even for more advanced witches, pathworking is often a better option than astral travel because it’s less involved and requires a little bit less effort. I personally prefer pathworking for most situations.

Performing a Pathworking

  1. Before you begin, establish a clear goal for your pathworking and write out a rough “road map.” At the very least, you should know what your purpose is, where your entry point is, and how to find your way back.
  2. Begin in a dark, quiet room. Cleanse the room by burning incense, diffusing or spraying essential oils, or using a ritual broom to sweep out old energy.
  3. Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down and begin meditating. You may want to play meditation music, practice breathing techniques, or use some other method to help you reach a meditative state.
  4. Once you reach a meditative state (you should know what this feels like if you have experience with meditation), see yourself standing at your entry point. This is your entrance to the astral realm.
  5. Set out on your pathworking.
  6. When you are ready to leave the astral realm, you will need to find your way back to your entry point. Once you reach your entry point, it should be fairly easy to return to your body.
  7. Once you’re fully present in your physical body, use your favorite method to ground yourself.
  8. Write down everything you experienced during your pathworking in a journal.

Astral Travel

If pathworking is dipping your toes into the spirit world, astral travel is diving in the deep end. Also called spirit flight and hedge riding, astral travel includes actually sending your soul/consciousness out of your body and into the spirit world. As you might guess, this is more complicated and requires more effort than pathworking. For this reason, astral travel is not beginner-friendly. If you are completely new to meditation, witchcraft, and spirit work, it’s best to learn to pathwork before you attempt astral travel.

A word of warning: you may want to avoid astral travel at times when you’re in a very vulnerable or volatile emotional state. Some days you just aren’t up for it, and that’s okay. On those days, a pathworking or another form of spirit work may be a better option.

Triggering Spirit Flight

In astral travel, a trigger of some kind is used to help disconnect the soul from the physical body. Common triggers include drumming, special music, shaking a rattle, chanting, and dancing.

You can find shamanic drumming tracks on YouTube that can help you achieve astral travel. If you find that repetitive motion helps you trance out, you may look into getting a small drum or rattle to play.

Animal Guides

In many cultures, those who travel into the spirit world do so with the guidance and protection of an animal spirit. From the Norse fylgja, to the shamanic power animal, to the witch’s familiar, history is full of examples of these types of guides.

Before you begin astral travel, do a pathworking to meet your animal guide. It’s important to note that you aren’t choosing an animal guide — only meeting one that has always been with you. Your guide may be an animal that you like or identify with, or it may not. When I first began experimenting with astral travel, my guide was a coyote — an animal I had never identified with before, but who I learned was deeply connected to my inner self.

It’s important to always have your animal guide with you when going on astral journeys, as they are an important source of protection and power. They may also literally guide you to the things you need to see and the spirits you need to meet.

Flying Ointments

Historical accounts describe witches using “flying ointment” to help them achieve spirit flight. These traditional flying ointments contained toxic and/or hallucinogenic plants like belladonna, datura, henbane, mandrake, and opium poppies. For obvious reasons, most modern witches do not use these herbs.

Please do not try to create your own flying ointment with poisonous plants. If you’re a true traditionalist and feel like you just have to try a historically accurate flying ointment, Bane Folk Apothecary sells several. Bane Folk is run by Sarah Anne Lawless, a kickass witch who knows her stuff and produces safe, medicinal products inspired by traditional flying ointment formulas. I am usually very pro-DIY, especially when it comes to witchcraft, but this is one case where it really is best to defer to a professional.

To create a modern, non-toxic flying ointment: heat eight ounces (or one cup) of poppy seed oil over low heat on the stove. Once the oil is warm, add 2 ounces (or ¼ cup) of beeswax into the oil. (Use carnauba wax for a vegan alternative.) Take the mixture off the heat, and allow it to cool off a bit. Once it has cooled (but before it’s begun to solidify), add nine drops each of mugwort essential oil, star anise essential oil, and peppermint essential oil. Pour the mixture into a mason jar and seal tightly. To extend your ointment’s shelf life, add a few drops of Vitamin E oil and store in the refrigerator. If you don’t have access to essential oils or prefer a more traditional method, you can buy dry herbs and infuse them into your oil instead — to do this, crush up 2.5 ounces (or 1/3 cup) each of dried mugwort, star anise, and peppermint and add them to a mason jar; add enough oil to the jar to cover the herbs completely, with about an inch of oil above them; seal the jar and place it in a sunny window for 2-3 weeks to infuse; and finally, strain the herbs out of the oil with a mesh sieve or a cheesecloth. You can then add your Vitamin E oil and beeswax to create an ointment.

This modern recipe does not contain hallucinogens, but it does contain plants that are commonly used in magic to increase psychic abilities and aid in astral travel. You can say an incantation over this ointment while making it to add some extra magical potency. Applying the flying ointment can also become a sort of ritual that prepares you for spirit flight by helping you slip into a more spiritual head space.

Performing Astral Travel/Spirit Flight

  1. Before you begin, know why you are journeying to the spirit world. You should always have a clear goal for your astral journeys.
  2. Begin in a dark, quiet room. Cleanse the room by burning incense (mugwort incense aids in astral travel), diffusing or spraying essential oils, or using a ritual broom to sweep out old energy.
  3. Use your favorite method to ground yourself.
  4. If you are choosing to use a flying ointment, rub it on your skin now.
  5. Hold a protective item in one of your hands. I like physical items for protection during spirit flight, because they can ground you and help you find your way back to your body. Examples of protective items include a sprig of rue, a piece of iron, or a protective crystal like black tourmaline. If you ever feel scared or uncomfortable during your journey, you can bring this object into the astral realm to protect you. It will also keep your body safe while your consciousness is occupied.
  6. Start up your trigger, whether this is drumming, rattling, dancing, etc.
  7. Allow yourself to drift into a trance state, and then to disconnect from your body.
  8. Call your animal guide to you.
  9. Set out on your journey in the spirit world.
  10. When you are ready, feel yourself returning to your physical body. Allow yourself to come back slowly — don’t rush it.
  11. Ground yourself. One good way to ground after astral travel is by eating a snack.
  12. Write down your experiences in a journal.

note: if you don’t smoke cannabis, you can just use the tea recipe. these mixes are meant to relax the mind and body and make it easier to achieve the right meditative space for astral travel or lucid dreaming.
~
tea:
- ½ tsp mugwort (astral travel, psychic abilities)
- ½ tsp lavender (calming, focus, rest)
- ½ tsp chamomile (purifying, calming, sleep, protection)
- ½ tsp wormwood (opt.) (astral projection, protection in the astral, spirit work)
- oolong tea base* (focus, calming, mental clarity)
- honey or sugar to sweeten

instructions: charge your cup with selenite, labradorite, and/or clear quartz. combine either loosely or in a strainer/teabag. stir in your honey or tea clockwise and focus on your intent.
*for cannabis variant, substitute with stems finely chopped. the heat will activate the leftover THC particles left on the stems and produce a mellow body-high.

smoke blend:
- 1pt indica-heavy strain of your choice** (body high, separating the soul from the body)
-  mugwort (astral travel, psychic abilities)
- 1/4pt lavender (calming, anti-anxiety, rest)
- 1/4pt sage (purifying, protection, setting intention in stone)
- 1/4pt rose petals (pref. white) (purifying, clarity, focus)
- 1/4pt wormwood (spirit communication, protection in the astral)

instructions: grind together plant matters, load the bowl while focusing on your intent. speak a blessing into the pipe, then seal it by lighting the bowl. labradorite or quartz pipes strongly recommended, but not wholly needed.
**some strains make the process of body separation easier than others, such as, Sugar Cookie, Blue Widow, or Skywalker OG. do your research on how certain strains affect you, and use whichever one helps
you better.

happy traveling!

Approx Age: 2100

Physical Description: Her nickname is Scarlet for a reason with flaming red hair down to her hips, and eyes that flare red when she gets excited about… well anything, really. With very pale white/grey skin, she stands at only 4′10″, but she makes up for her size with her direct personality (see below). She has very delicate horns that curve gently around the back of her head to the nape of her neck. She tends to appear in one of two different outfits depending on her mood - the first being thigh high leather boots and a black leather ‘playsuit’ that barely covers her bum and a neckline that plunges down her chest to her belly button. The second being a stunning red full length velvet dress that hugs her every curve, with a split up the leg and thigh to her hip bone. She has tattoos up her arms and one on her thigh, but she would like to leave it up to her companion to discover what they depict. She has black wings with an 8 foot wingspan, with a shorter foot long tail that flicks like a cat’s tail when emotional (Both good and bad).

Personality:Looks can be deceiving. Petite and timid looking, this succubus has a direct and teasing personality, but never cruel. She is strictly sapphic and would love to find a companion that would enjoy a sexual relationship after taking time to get to know each other, with the acknowledgement that because she needs to feed sexually, she may need to find energy from beyond the partnership, or be able to feed from the shenanigans between yourself and another partner to supplement. She loves pleasure of all kinds - foods, travel, music,  wine, indulgent self care and of course the obvious. She strongly prefers companions with high personal hygiene standards and doesn’t like homes with regular strong smells such as fish or garlic. She proudly considers herself high maintenance, but likes to provide her maintenance herself, doing her nails daily and hair masks at least once a week. She enjoys watching porn including bdsm as long as it is completely consensual. She considers herself a switch.

She has no preference on family size, she enjoys having a lot of people around and going to parties. She prefers to communicate telepathically, but will use tarot or other oracle cards as well.

Please acquaint yourselves with H-Mann (nickname chosen by him, don’t blame me) the Kobold. H-Mann loves to play tricks and would like to find a companion full of energy and advanced in spirit communication.

Age:~660 years, approx middle aged for his species.

Appearance:Clocking in at about 3′5″, H-Mann is tall for his species. He prefers to wear deep green and brown clothing, patched up where it has worn thin, and fairly ragged around the edges. He likes to wander around barefoot and wears a woolen hat on cooler days. He has deep dark eyes and a mischievous grin. He has a strawberry blond hair and a blond goatee beard, but beneath this has a very youthful face, almost child-like. He has ornate germanic tattoos down his arms, across his chest and up his neck. His skin is smooth but sallow, with a faint green tint in the right lighting.

Personality:H-Mann loves to play tricks. This spirit is not for you if you want everything to be in the same place you left it. This intensifies if he feels left out or forgotten. But if you keep up with your offerings and communicate as often as you can, he loves to help, too. Especially with domestic chores and DIY renovations. Somehow they seem to be closer to being finished than they were when you popped out of the room to do something else for minutes! He is easily distracted by sparkles and can sit quietly watching the light refracting through a prism against the wall for hours. He would love to go to a home that has a fireplace, or could at least set up a hearth-like altar. When he gets annoyed he will make noises at night to keep you awake, only stopping when he has been satisfied (usually apologies for hurting his feelings will suffice, along with the usual offerings). Be 100% certain you want this spirit when you apply, as he intends on spending the rest of your life with you. He is highly adventurous and would like a companion that is not afraid to try new foods, drinks, experiences etc with him tagging along, of course.

Special Preferences: H-Mann would love to help his companion with prosperity and fire magicks. He asks that the person he goes to will never attempt to take a photo of him due to cultural reasons. He prefers to communicate with oracle cards, runes and telepathy. He would rather a smaller family, no more than 6 other companions. He is not interested in any romantic liaisons outside his species.

Applications for H-Mann will be open in two weeks time, but in the mean time as with the other spirits, please ask him questions in the inbox or through our discord.

In the next week two spirits will be posted for adoption

E the Bubble Spirit. E is a beginner level spirit, but also needs someone who will be very sensitive to their needs.

Ch the Fire Horse who requires an advanced practitioner.

Details coming soon.

As a quick personal introduction, I am a Heathen Hedgewitch, raised around magick from a young age. I have been practicing spirit work for close to 22 years (this coming May, in fact), which I only recall because it was my 12th Birthday when my Mother sat me down and taught me how to use a Spirit Board. I felt a connection that night with something far greater than myself and have not looked back.

I first began Astral exploration when I was around fourteen, doing it completely by accident the first time. I had no clue what had happened, but luckily had a family with a rich history of this, so they were able to talk me through what happened, and guide me in ways to control it and learn from my experiences.

From then on, spirits have been a part of my life. While there have been times that I tried to push aside my connection, it has never really left my side. For various reasons, I only have a couple of very close spirit companions myself permanently in my life. However I have worked through these years aiding spirits in finding other companions, to heal and teach.

The nature of the work I do in the spirit world mean that the spirits I come across are not always strictly ‘love and light’, which is why this board is for advanced practitioners. There are definitely gentler souls that I come across, and these will be available for beginning practitioners if the spirits feel called to be with them, but I can’t promise this will be a regular thing.

Spirits I vet are with me for a minimum of six months before they are listed on here, and because I build a close relationship with them, I expect you to do the same before submitting an application. For this reason, when I list a spirit they will be online for communication for two weeks before I accept any applications for them. I want you to know the spirits before you apply for them. To misquote a dear friend, this isn’t Pokemon, you don’t get to ‘collect them all’.

I know I’m a new companionship center, but you can rest assured that I have experience, and I care deeply about the spirit’s ongoing welfare.

Energetic Fields are the result of mystical and physical phenomena. The human body contains two predominant fields. The first and largest is produced by the human heart because of iron-rich hemoglobin being bumped through ventricles. The complexity of this field is due to the neurological processes that occur in the intracardiac nervous system, or the neurons in the heart; which are responsible for the majority of the heart’s functionality. The second field is produced by the brain. This field is the result of a conglomeration of millions of neurons firing, which individually release minute pulses of electro-magnetic radiation. These fields can be programmed and manipulated through energy work and states of gnosis for use in esoteric and magical practices.

The Astral Plane is infinite, and yet is inherently part of the reality that we occupy. Think of it as a three dimensional film that exists in the space between everything.

This place lays between our cognitive reality and the world of dreams. Which is why you can access both aspects of our dimension via the astral. The natural laws of physics are only partially apparent in this realm. Whereas in the dream world they break down completely- if desired.

In the Astral Plane, the Conscious mind holds all the power of manifestation. Whatever you create becomes a finite aspect of that reality; However, due to the expansive nature of this place it is unlikely to come across or find anyone else or their creations. The astral is desolate in appearance, this is due to its quasi reflection of our reality. Furthermore, this plane, even with thoroughly developed astral senses, has no light, darkness, air/wind, plants/biological-life, or most things we might expect when entering.

Spirits exist in all of three aspects of our dimension simultaneously. In cognitive reality, their forms are not corporeal, rather they are more vibe-like. In the Astral, their forms are more likely to appear tangible. If you come across a spirit in our cognitive reality and wish to see that spirit in a more corporeal form, astral travel to where they are and then enter the Astral Plane in that corresponding location.

Spirits and other entities do not typically show any tendencies towards social organization or community within the Astral Plane. They are commonly seen in isolation or, rather infrequently, with one or two other spirits. Gatherings of many spirits or the forming of townships of any kind never happens. Spirits aren’t always trustworthy and can be hostile and/or violent, both towards us and each other. Thus, we have Astral Weapons. Be sure you create Astral Weapons before exploring too deeply in the Astral Plane. You have to be able to protect your Well-Source. Otherwise you could easily bring something into your body when you return.

Dreamwalking chemical assistance (drugs, alcohol, herbal remedies, etc)

is a common practice in several different cultures and practices. The term comes from the aborigines, but the Mexica, Toltec, and Maya had their own term for it- which translates to mean Sun-kissed in English. The Cherokee also had Dreamwalkers- often, they were considered people with two spirits/souls and are considered with revenance, as they are often healers and medicine people. This practice is not one culturally protected, but is a matter of energetic anatomy.

Dreamwalking is similar to vivid dreaming. On the surface, it’s a practice of sharing a dream with one or more other people. Either entering their dreams or pulling them into your own while remaining completely lucid. Some people Dreamwalk without even much effort, and some have to try very hard and must practice for years before being able to do it. Some may only be able to do it unintentionally. Those who can dreamwalk generally have an easier time with Astral Projection, since one is essentially Astral Traveling when Dreamwalking. The main difference is that Dreamwalkers cross through the Astral Plane into the dream world. This act is not easily accomplished, but for Dreamwalkers an instinct. The other key difference is that when Dreamwalking, the walker’s astral form is non-corporeal unless the dream, and/or the walker, demands it. There is a downside to Dreamwalking, however; If you choose to dreamwalk rather than dream regularly, you will likely awaken feeling as though you didn’t sleep. You may be tired, unrested, irritable. You may even become more susceptible to illness over time if not practiced in moderation.

Dreamwalking is extremely difficult to start doing but, like most things, it becomes easier the more you succeed in doing it. The process of Dreamwalking starts out very similar to that of lucid dreaming.

Before you lie down to sleep, do a meditation on what your dream will be like. Create a sight or a sound of it in your mind. Be sure to choose something that is important to your core-being, something that you’re not likely to forget. The experience of the sight or sounds should be either something to do with your body or something that regularly occurs within your dreams. Then make that idea so powerful that it seeps into your dreaming mind. The idea of this practice is to create an alert to your dreaming mind that signals to itself that it is dreaming, thus causing a lucid dream. There are several ways one can lucid dream- do some research and find one that works for you. If you find one you like- feel free to reblog this and share it in your comment, link or otherwise. Once you can lucid dream, having conscious control over your own dream state, you’re ready to begin trying to move into another person’s dream. There are some social and ethical boundaries to doing so, and you may cross a few lines. Remain weary, you could learn some things about people that you would have never wanted to know.

Dreams take place in a realm that is just past the plane of the astral. There is a slight difference in resonance; though, because of this it is best to try to enter the dreams of someone who you know very well. I’d both recommend asking permission beforehand or not asking permission at all. Both have their benefits and risks. Not asking permission will help get a stronger sense of success. (I.E. having them tell you about their dream to see if they noticed you in their dreams. But they may also feel exposed or violated.) However, telling them may create a false negative when it comes to comparing dreams because of confirmation bias.

Toenter another’s dream, you must first be lucid dreaming within your own, or Dreamwalking in the corporeal/astral planes. Then, create a finite barrier that separates this space from the expanse of the astral plane. Approach this barrier and slowly phase yourself through it.

Once in the astral realm, time is far more fluid so take your time. Once you’re ready, begin thinking of the person who’s dream you’d like to enter. Think of their aura, vibe, way of thinking, their favorite things; any and all things that help you create an exact idea of them. Then, imagine the setting that their dream would likely take place in. Try to phase yourself into that place. If the person can also lucid dream, this process would be much easier.

Dreamwalkers are also prone to possessing or easily obtaining certain psychic abilities. Those who are born with Dreamwalking instincts will likely possess more than half of these abilities and realize those before they realize they’re a Dreamwalker. Abilities that Dreamwalkers either have or can easily develop include:

• Clairvoyance

• Clairaudience

• Extreme empathy (Psychic)

• Possession (entering the minds of animals, or other people, even spirits.)

• Day-Dreamwalking (Dreamwalking while daydreaming)

• Telepathy

• Waking astral-travel (being able to astral travel without being in a relaxed state.)

• Divination prowess

• The sight (being able to see spirits and even communicate with them)

• Enhanced energy-work.

Further signs of a Natural Dreamwalker include:

• Existential dread experienced at a very young age (having thoughts of being unable to prove your own existence around the age of 3-5 years old)

• One or multiple extremely heightened psychic abilities.

• Persistent prophetic dreams

• Regularly occurring lucid dreams

• Accidental Dreamwalking.

• An affinity for multi-conscious astral projection (splitting your awareness into several independent bodies simultaneously)

• Powerful manifestation abilities

• Accidental possession.

• Being able to program your aura

Crossing Dimensions is not easy, even for natural born Dreamwalkers. It is also dangerous. When someone crosses into a different dimension, even with astral senses, they’re ability to perceive is severely hindered because the laws of physics are congruent but compounded within each new axis of space compared to what we are accustomed to.

Crossing dimensions is useful for bypassing wards, creating complex energetic structures, complete energetic healing of the subtle body, and time magic. It also requires a pretty thorough understanding of dense topological concepts- which require a decent understanding of mathematics and physics to learn.

Multi-Conscious Astral Projection is the act of creating and maintaining several astral forms simultaneously. This means that you will also perceive what they perceive simultaneously as well. I recommend taking a mild analgesic before trying it your first time. (It may cause a headache)

In order to do this, you have to allocate Well-Source energy into two pieces. Then imagine you’re looking in a mirror, while also perceiving what the reflection sees. With your primary form, step away from the mirror, turn one of your heads to perceive what is around you while the other perceives the observer.

The most difficult aspect of MCAP is sustaining it. Once you lose connection with an astral form’s awareness, the astral form breaks down and desentogrates. You have to maintain consistent perception from all of them for the entire duration.

I recommend practicing within our corporeal reality, rather than the Astral Plane ,as it’s safer that way. It helps to have a unifying stimuli to anchor your perceptions on; like that of a consistent rhythm, whether that be musical or physical action. This process takes a lot of practice, but once you’ve solidified that process you’ll never forget it.

Energy-Work while astral projecting is an extremely useful skill. Especially if you’ve master MCAP. While astral projecting, its possible to construct complex energetic structures for a variety of purposes. From large wards to astral weapon and thoughtform creation. If MCAP is employed, then the number of bodies you have to perform a single construction is increased, like doing a group working but that group consists of only you.

Astral Weapons are energetic constructs that are designed to be resilient and dense. They can be used for many things from protection to fate work. To design an astral weapon or shield. Make sure the design is as simple as you can while still making it unique and your own. Sketch it out on paper in order to flesh out the design as much as possible. Its design needs to be ingrained into your memory intimately.

Visualize this weapon in your mind until it becomes vivid. Get to know the design in three dimensions. If you’re capable of visualizing it in other dimensions, do so.

Once the concept of the weapon is corporealized in your mind, begin constructing it through energy work, keeping in mind the properties that you want it to possess. Project the weapon into the Astral Plane and hold it, Interact with it, and swing it around. Give it weight, inertia, and substance.

Lastly, and this is optional, create a way to gradually summon them; rather than just having them appear outright. For example, my favorite weapon is a spear. I summon a needle that glows white and blue that expands into the shape of a spear. This way it is easier to maintain accurate perception of several Spears simultaneously. The more you can reduce and simplify the design, the easier it will be to project and maintain it.

Thoughtforms are prevalent in the Astral Plane as well as our cognitive reality because human beings are naturally quite imaginative. Sometimes they can be hostile, so the best defense against rogue thoughtforms is protective energetic warding.

If you don’t know what a ward is, you aren’t ready for Astral Travel. It is important to use more than one type of ward as well. The more types of wards you use, the more thoroughly protected you are. Just be sure that none of them cancel eachother out.

When creating thoughtforms in the astral plane, they’re not likely to enter into the corporeal plane unless guided to it. They can be incorporated into astral weapons as well as energetic constructs. Their uses are only limited by your ingenuity.

There is another post that is specifically about thoughtforms and how to create them. (To be posted soon)

I hope this post was helpful. If you have any questions or need help understanding any concepts in this article, don’t hesitate to comment or message me..

What are they?

Empathic seeds are seeds of emotion that can be implanted into another’s emotional or astral body by a person or a spirit. Usually this is done primarily by someone with (strong) empathic abilities.

How do they function?

They can have a variety of different forms but they will latch onto the emotional body and grow in it. Emotions nurture them and whatever emotion is coded into the seed is the one it will grow upon. In a sense, they can be considered a type of parasite because they need to survive on a host’s emotions similarly to emotional parasites.

Empathic seeds function in a way to alter other people’s emotions for better or for worse. Once they are implanted, they are generally left alone to cultivate and grow on their own.

Why do people or spirits use them?

People may use Empathic seeds for any reason, mostly to influence another person emotionally. Spirits may use Empathic seeds to either aid a person (whether they know or not) or manipulate them without that person’s knowledge. In many cases it is used for manipulation to sway feelings for any given reason.

For example, if a spirit was vengeful towards another person they may implant a seed into that person so that the person generates a specific emotion to nurture the Empathic seed. This in turn allows for the seed to grow and cause an attachment to it inside the host. Depending on the use of the seed, it can cause anxiety, anger, sadness guilt, fear, etc. when thinking of removing the seed. This is a defense mechanism of the seed to keep it in place to continually manipulate the host.

Most uses of Empathic seeds are for more malicious intents but that is not always the case. Some cases of Empathic seeds are used to regulate negative emotions and let positive ones cultivate. All though it should be said that it is not a substitute for professional or medical help.

What can you do to remove them if you suspect you are afflicted by one?

This focuses on the case of having an unwanted, non-consensual Empathic seed in your astral or emotional body, but can apply to both intrusive and regulator seed types.

When looking for an Empathic seed it is important to first make sure mundane physical and mental health things are looked at before. That is of the utmost importance before jumping to conclusions. It is also important to know yourself well to discern on if one is present or not. That being said, knowing your emotional states and how you work is critical.

An affliction will usually come with symptoms like:

  • recurring past attachments coming up
  • invasive dreams with people from the past (or even present)
  • uncharacteristic emotional activity* (*please be careful with this one and use heavy discernment. It is important to know what your personal emotion states are like).
  • Quick production of a single, particular emotion to nurture the seed
  • Emotional haziness (i.e. mind fog)
  • A weight or extra weight in your emotional body

Note: Symptom list is not exhaustive and there can be other symptoms that are not listed. Self-monitoring is important and check ups on the astral and emotional bodies are necessary.

Removal Process - please read carefully -

This area mainly focuses on using energy work to remove the seed. It can be adapted into other methods for the individual.

1.) Look over the emotional body or astral body for any foreign objects if you suspect you are being afflicted.

2.) Do what you need to do before removing it. (i.e. cleansing, shielding, adding extra protections, meditating, or going to the astral).

3.) Once settled, focus on looking inwards or locating the seed in the emotional (or astral) body. Do a scan on where you think the seed is. Be thorough.

4.) After finding the location of the seed, carefully look to see how attached it is. Any roots or vines must be cut first before taking out the seed center.

5.) As directed before, cut or burn away the roots and vines, fully removing them so they do not leave any attachments. Anything leftover can have the potential to regrow so it is crucial to remove those so that does not happen.

6.) Continue on to the removal of the seed. Separating the seed from its location should be done slowly or in a method that will safely extract it. Do not yank it out. Remove it gently and slowly.

7.) Once it is out, immediately contain the seed and focus on healing the area it has affected. This can be done by filling the space in with healing energy as a temporary replacement.

8.) The most important step of all. Dispose of the seed immediately. Do not keep it around or it may still have a residual effect on you. Dispose of it in any manner that you see fit, but do not keep it around.

9.) Finally, check up on your emotional or astral body and focus on healing. Do any methods that work for you and do as much as you think you should. Healing from an emotional seed will take time, so continually heal it a little bit each day. Healing times will vary from person to person.

Please keep in mind that other methods may work for others in the removal and any additions to this are welcome. Be sure to practice safely and use your discernment.

One familiar protects me physically while I sleep, the other protects me mentally while I dream. For a witch who does LOTS of dream magic and energy work, this very important.

Astral traveling has been a part of my path since the first day I started and has only grown. I am able to meet and speak with the spirits and gods I work with, do spell work, do healing, and a large amount of other work in the astral. I worked almost every night before bed, unknowingly to me at first, to get where I am at now. I was going to make a long “how to” on astral travel, but simplicity is better. If you have any questions or need me to elaborate on anything, please don’t be hesitant to send me an ask. I could write ten pages to better explain how I work in the astral but no one will read that, so asking for me to elaborate is definitely fine with me!

Before you start:

  • Astral traveling does not equal astral projection.
  • In astral projection you fully leave your body but while astral traveling you do not.
  • In astral projection you view everything with crystal clear imagery but while astral traveling you do not.
  • Have you ever done a guided meditation? Did you know you were pretty much astrally traveling? In fact, if you have never astrally traveled before, try out a guided meditation so you can get an idea of what you should be “seeing” in your mind’s eye. The next step will be to drop the guided meditation and do it for yourself.
  • First, learn how to visualize. If you can’t visualize, you can’t travel in the astral. There are no ways around it. This website is the most clear and concise way to learn how to visualize. The level three exercise there is what you will need to learn how to do in order to travel in the astral. If you have a hard time visualizing, start at the level one exercise. Once you have learned how to visualize, try the exercise below.

Easy starter method for dipping your toes into astral traveling:

  1. Make sure you are comfortable and in a room where you will not be distracted
  2. Set up the protection you need around you
  3. Ask any spirits you want to accompany you to do so
  4. Think of what you want to do in the astral. If you want to meet a spirit, specify that. If you just want to explore, you don’t have to think about what you want to do and you can just enjoy exploring.
  5. Get on YouTube and look up “forest sounds”. Find one you like and put it on with headphones.
  6. Close your eyes, ground, center, breathe - do whatever you do to get into a meditative state.
  7. Now start to imagine that you’re in a forest. The sounds you are hearing from the video are the sounds the forest is making.
  8. Walk around and explore. As you continue, stop forcing your imagination to see where you’re going and start letting your mind’s eye truly start viewing where you are at on it’s own. If you wanted to meet a spirit there, ask it to meet you there. Don’t worry if you don’t end up seeing the spirit you want to meet there. Sometimes they will be around just through a feeling and will want to let you explore the astral on your own without visually distracting you.
  9. When you feel you’re done, thank any spirits that were involved with the process (if they were) and wiggle your fingers and toes. Open your eyes and head off to eat or drink something to ground yourself.

Yes, that’s literally it. It is truly that simple. Get used to visualization and get used to wandering around a space in the astral you have created. For instance, the forest you were just in within that exercise is yours. These are the foundations you need to learn and get comfortable with. Soon you can visit places that truly exist in the astral, rather than creations of your own.

What can you do in the astral?

You can create a sanctuary, visit with spirits, heal your own energy - the amount of things you can do is unlimited. Do you want to do a spell in the astral? Craft the ingredients out of the energy around you. Yes, this seriously works! Spells done in the astral are just as potent (if not more potent, if you know what you’re doing) than spells we do on our physical plane. The most important thing is to not doubt what you are doing and have true intent. I have done some heavy spell work in the astral that worked extremely well to gain results on our physical realm. The exciting thing about doing spells in the astral is that you can actually have your spirit companions or gods visually next to you to aid you. You can also craft up offerings and altar spaces for your gods and spirit companions there.

You are not limited while you are in the astral. You can take on any form you want in the astral (this is called your vehicle). You can surround yourself with the elements and weather you want in the astral. Do you need it to be storming while you do a spell? You can make it storm. The stronger your visualization skills are, the more you can do. That’s why you have to work at it often. Within your own created space, you can allow spirits to visit. You can ward your sanctuary and allow your spiritual guides and friends to visit. There are no limits! Just be smart about it.

Tips and extras:

  • Don’t doubt what you see
  • Work at it everyday
  • Make use of herbs of crystals that will aid in visualization
  • Always set up protection beforehand
  • Also set up protection around your sanctuary if you build one
  • Ask your gods or any spirits you trust to guide you as you travel
  • Don’t limit yourself to what you can do there

When traveling outside of a space you created yourself (aka the whole wide world of the astral), tread carefully and be smart.

You remember cats, i talked about this spiritual bilocation thing?
Yeah. Here it is right there in the definitions of this post. Astral travel vs astral projection.
Fuck yes.
This post makes me so happy.
