Is this a reality shifting method? Is this just a strategy to help you shift?

Yes. Lol

This is whatever you use it as.

I do not recommend this method for shifters who experience dissociation, delusions, or psychosis.

But, if you do have a condition like those and feel like you can handle it, I would highly recommend not to do this a full day.

Overall,please be safe. :)

Some grounding methods here for if you experience issues.

OKAY SO! This idea just kind of developed to me and when I tried it out (but got interrupted) it was pretty powerful.

1.Pick a day. Full day, part of a day, rest of today, whatever works for you. Pick a day for this.

I recommend starting it from when you wake up to when you go to bed, but you do not have to. Just start some time during the day then and make sure to have a “moment” where you decide to start.

2. Okay. So now, you’re gonna be an actor.

What’s the scene?

Your scene is that you are your DR self and you have, for whatever reason, woken up in your CR body.

3.What does that look like? How do you do that?

Well, it’s mainly acting with your internal thoughts and reactions to the world around you.

I don’t recommend interacting with the environment physically as your DR self unless the people in your household understand shifting and what you’re trying or whether you’re definitely alone in a room.

Thoughts

This is gonna be the most important factor, really.

Think about it, what is your DR self like? What would they think of the change from their appearance to yours? Do they cuss a lot when confused? Do they try to figure out what’s going on? How do they react to your daily routine?

And you’re gonna answer this all in first person because you are acting as your DR self.

When I woke up and acted out this method, I had moments along the lines of this:

Oh!!! Oh that’s different, that’s not mine, as I got up and noticed my appearance. I was alone, so I examined my face at a couple of angles, and I explored my clothing with interest. This is she wears? I thought about some stuff, because Ashlyn’s taste in clothing is much more extreme than mine.

I sat at the table and listened to my mom and thought, so this must be the mom. And I ate my breakfast from Panera and I was like whoa this is good and appreciated it as if for the first time.

Megamind would love this, this reminds me of this, throughout the day, etc, and when in class, what even are we doing,etc.

I kind of pulled upon my knowledge of this world as if we were merged together, where I’d think about how I’d have class, and then acknowledge that those must be the thoughts of the person I shifted into.

Actions

I mentioned examining my face, which I did, and I also looked at my body, and clothing, and random objects around. You could morph your facial expressions to confusion and such, etc. If you’re not in a situation to do so you don’t have to.

4. If you’re using this as a full method, instead of shifting to an alternate reality, you think of it as shifting back home to a reality you truly belong in.

You could either “discover” shifting as your DR self in your body from pulling from your own knowledge and just knowing about it to get back, or maybe log into tumblr or some forum and read about shifting again as if anew and decide to do that.

I got interrupted by something that really threw off my vibes and distracted me for hours when I was doing this, but it was really powerful for me and I really felt connected to my DR self and my DR. I think I would have shifted had I done a method that night.

5.Now you can use whatever method or lack of you normally use to shift.

Put on subs, meditate, lay down and know you’ll wake up in your DR, pick a method, etc. whatever works for you!

I found the connection to my DR self I’d developed throughout the day really powerful and it helped affirm my belief it’ll work, because it’s not so much as trying to get somewhere new anymore, it’s going back to someplace you belong.

Visualisation Question #1

Is it weird that I visualise better when my eyes are open? Like when I’m daydreaming I lose focus way less and the stuff I’m imagining/visualising is clearer than when I try to do the same thing with my eyes closed during a method.

I’m kind of worried about this because I’ve always daydreamed about my DR and it seems much more solid/real than when I try to do it with my eyes closed during a shifting attempt….

(Unpopular?) Reality Shifting Opinion: DR and CR Time

So I’ve had a few people ask me about scripting time and time in DR vs CR and can you time skip in your DR etc… so I’m just gonna put my general ideas out there! [Long post incoming]

(Note: I don’t speak for every shifter these are my own ideas and they might be wrong but idk!)

Let’s talk about time.

Time in our CR (current reality) here on Earth is 24 hrs in a day, and there are 7 days a week, about 52 weeks in a year, and 10 years is a decade. For the most part: that is all man-made time. Like someone one day just went “yeah sure a clock is 1-12” so really time is an illusion. Again in MY understanding. (Yes the sun revolves around Earth a specific way and that is where we get the starting block for time, but you know what I mean. I’m generalizing)

So since time is pretty much made up, your DR time is NOT gonna be the same as your CR. (You can script it to be the same if you really want but overall every DR is different.) Every universe works a different way. So whatever you think about time, throw that out the window, cause it could be totally “backwards” in your DR. (It’s almost like comparing apples to oranges with DR time and CR time. You can’t really compare it properly)

How I script it: I currently have1 hr in CR is 1 week in DR. That’s just me you can do 1 hr = 1 month or a year if you really wanted, doesn’t matter.

This is where some people don’t agree with me: I also script that with my Lifa app I can change the time, time skip, or just change whatever in the DR timeline. Some people say “the people in your DR have lives just like you and time skipping messes everything up!” Or “if you freeze time that’s bad for your DR people. They need to live just like you”

And yes you’re right, your desired reality IS a whole other reality so people DO have lives there, just like in your current reality. However, as I mentioned before, time works differently there.

An example I always use is from the movie Interstellar (2014) in that movie they travel through space, go through a black hole, and they visit a planet where 7 mins on that planet is 7 years on Earth. I think that logic is very similar to DR vs CR time. Me scripting that 1 hr in CR is 1 week in DR already sets into place that DR time moves “slower” than CR time. ( This could also be considered “faster” than CR since you’re getting more days in that 1 hr but again time is weird so it’s hard to really say. ) but I hope you can kinda see what I’m getting at.

Me “stopping” time in DR isn’t really stopping time. It’s just slowing or speeding up time, in a way that doesn’t affect DR people. So DR people and their lives won’t be interrupted. They’ll move at the same speed but for me(the shifter) it’ll be “faster” or “slower.”

Again:time is a complex concept.So this is probably confusing and I’m sorry I can’t explain better.

TLDR; stopping time or speeding up time in your DR is totally valid and nothing bad will happen so don’t feel guilty. Shifting is totally safe and time jumping in DR won’t harm you.

This post explains time differences between realities really well! I tend to script everywhere that 1 CR day= 1 DR year, because although I want to spend as much time in my DR, I don’t want to miss out on too much in my CR (this is kind of an irrational fear of mine where I’m paranoid of too much time passing in my CR, even though I will remember everything when I come back).

I’m thinking of changing it or straight up deleting the time ratio because I feel like I put too much importance on it.

First shifting attempt story

So this was all the way back in mid-September. One day, my twin asked me my thoughts on going to a different reality. Obviously I said “I wish” because I’ve been daydreaming about being in different universes pretty much since I’ve been a tiny child really invested in Winx (aka since around…7 years old? 6-7?). So she (very cautiously) started talking and explaining stuff about this thing called “reality shifting”.

I was very much intrigued, but a bit dubious ( because it really sounded too good to be true and kind of like magic, something just for “chosen ones”). So i was like okay, and how would I get to this desired reality of mine? Can it be anything? Soshe was like yes, there’s many ways, I just found out about it like yesterday, so I only know most people lay in a starfish position and probably focus on it (Obviously she was very greensand barely knew anything about it, so she really simplified everything and was wrong about a bunch of stuff. The method she was trying to describe was the Raven method,but simplified). So I just kinda said okay, sounds cool, I believe you.

So that evening, while knowing pretty much NOTHING ELSE except just laying in a starfish position and focusing, I tried to shift. I knew where I wanted to shift (aka my ATEEZ DR because I was super fixated on the group), so I laid in a starfish position, closed my eyes, and focused. I didn’t know what to focus on, so I just repeated some keywords like ATEEZ and my bias full name over and over, focusing really hard. For some context, when I usually try doing stuff like this, I start crying or get distracted. I don’t why I cry, maybe because I relax too much and some unknown suppressed emotions come up or something.

Surprisingly, I did not get distracted or start dying, I didnt even pay attention to the passage of time. I was just…calm. I think not too far in (max. probably around 15 minutes) I…no longer felt my body. I didn’t notice it atthe time, but looking back I was really detached from my surroundings to the point where I didn’t notice I felt numb. I suddenly felt like I was floating, everything was really dark. I felt like I was underwater, but I didn’t panic, didn’t even think why I could breathe. I “opened my eyes and realisedi was just under asurface of what seemed like a never ending see. I could see the water above me, even though I technically couldn’t see anything because there was no source of light. So I thought "Oh, I have to breach the surface to shift”.

So I tried. But something was keeping me right under the surface. I kept trying,but some force was keeping me from swimming up. After a last effort I breached the surface, only to see nothing but water and suddenly waking up in my room.

I realise now that I should have eitherswam downwards or kept on focusing, and the force that was trying to keep me where I was actually tried to help me. Ithink I wasn’t asleep,because I was aware of the water around me and i could “see”, but I wasn’t awake either. Maybe some sort of trance?

Anyway, this is what happened when I tried to shift with just basic knowledge and intention.

My DR’s switch between action packed adventure with the greatest future and saddest backstory or living in the woods with my cat and farming while having a peaceful life with my friends/family/or significant other. There is never an inbetween.

I’ve decided to make another DR and try this one out. It seems easier to visualize and for me that’s what I need.

— NOTHING’s EXACT.

guess what? you don’t HAVE to do the raven method or drink 5 gallons of water a day!! everyone is wired differently and everyone’s subconscious will react to different things more or less than you will – that’s okay! what’s important to remember is that shifting is a journey! it’s a journey to discover what works best for you and what doesn’t work at all. the best thing to do is to try everything and see what makes you feel safest and most comfortable :)

— WHAT SYMPTOMS ACTUALLY ARE.

this is a HUGE misconception that went around on ShiftTok. basically, symptoms are your current physical body falling asleep. this is why sleep paralysis COULD happen – what is important is to not focus on them. acknowledgement and focusing are two different things!! you see, when you focus on symptoms or get excited about symptoms, you’re just grounding yourself in your current reality. as exciting as it is that you’re getting one step closer, focus on your breathing instead! that’ll be more helpful! also, sleep paralysis is nOT guaranteed to happen, nor is it a bad thing! if you’re nervous about it, you can always research it to help eliminate that anxiety :) that’s what helps me!

— WATER ISN’T NECESSARY.

again, nothing is exact! i added this separately because the water misconception is actually useful – you need to take care of yourself currently in able to get to your desired reality. your current reality, whether you like it or not, is the one you were designed to be in (at least, for now). taking care of your mental and physical health while preparing to shift to your desired reality is great! water helps with the headaches that will follow after subs and methods :)

— SUBCONSCIOUS POWER.

a while ago on ShiftTok, people were spreading about how Bucky Barnes has a piss kink – did you know that’s probably false?? your subconscious has sO much power, hence why scripts are important. someone, while shifting to the mcu, was most likely thinking; “i wonder if any of them have a piss kink or something weird like that?” and then bOOM they shifted, and one of the characters actually did. the reason i bring this up is to remind people why scripts are important. as an mcu shifter, i’m going to use another shifting example: before loki came out, none of the other mcu shifters had an issue with the TVA, considering that they were not consciously aware of it. i could be wrong about this, but that’s an example. point is, it’s important to keep your thoughts collected UNLESS you want that random stuff to happen. tbh, it sounds fun, but i use scripting for structure just so i can reassure myself!

— SCRIPTING POWER.

speaking of scripts, this is important. there’s importance in numbers, just as there is in the contents you’re plotting about. scripting out that 1hr CR = 6mo DR is probably not the wisest. why? because it will take a toll on your current self. when you shift back, exhaustion and mental health issues could kick in. a common saying i like to remind myself is “sometimes, less is more.” also something, be cautious when scripting traumatic stuff. these things will follow you into other realities with your subconscious, no matter what tolerance you script about it. i just want to give that warning.

— INTENT vs DESIRE.

THIS ONE. this one is SO important and what i’m currently struggling with. there’s a line between desiring something and intending to do something about that desire. setting intention is what i’m currently struggling with but it helps me to keep this mindset – there’s always a 50/50 chance that i’ll shift successfully. would i rather be in the 50 percent that gets there? or the 50 percent that wakes up here again?

F/O Hack!

They’ll always rub your back after a hard day at school/work.

10/10 would recommend one of these back massagers!! It feels like someone is rubbing your back for you.

Imagine coming home from work exhausted only to find your f/o with everything ready. Two plates of your favourite food are on the table, steaming hot. Your softest blanket is in the dryer, getting nice and warm. There’s a heating pad underneath your covers too, so it’s heavenly warm when it’s time for bed. They love making you relax and unwind, and can’t wait to snuggle with you.

You’re f/o misses you. Seriously, go talk to them! They could use a hug from you right now. Your arms are their favourite place to be.

Sometimes when you get anxious, your f/o’s usual means of calming you don’t work. Sometimes, they just have to grab your face in their hands and make you look at them. “Hey, I need you to breathe. Can you do that for me?” When you finally do calm down, you can count on them getting you your favourite desert as a reward.

Want it to feel like you’re taking a shower with you f/o? Get a body wash that you think smells like them! For example, if you normally use a feminine smelling body wash and have a masculine f/o, grab some mens body wash and use it instead!

Your f/o loves you so freakin’ much…like seriously they start to tear up just thinking about how much they love you and how much you mean to them.
